"They gave us a written quote, which another company didn't do. They seem to be pretty good. They want us to mail twenty percent of the quote before they start the work. They were really professional and explained everything that needs to be done. It was a free estimate and they quoted all the prices. They didn't put any pressure on us. They came early for the quote. We are going to use them. "

Richmond Gutter Repair And Installation Companies Reviews

"The owner and proprietor is and he was very professional. I did estimates with multiple companies and the estimates ranged from $22,000 down to $2,600. Of all the companies that I interviewed and got estimates from, he was more detailed in his estimate than the other people. My work was started and completed within a 7 day period. My house is 6000 square feet and it is an 86 year old house. It was a lot of work but they did a beautiful job. There had not been any new gutters or fascia or rake boards put on in well over 47 years. Across the street from my house is a small public park and I would cross the street and go stand in the park and look at my house. It looked so different. People thought I was crazy but it is absolutely gorgeous. They were responsive; when I called them they called me right back. At one point after they had completed my job, a little strip blew down and I thought it was some of the work. It was actually an extra piece that a worker had taken with him when he went up and laid it on the loose loft. You couldn't see it when you were standing down. When I called them and told them that something had come loose up there, they were here within 12 hours and went up and checked everything. They told me that the guy must have taken it up there thinking that he would need it. They said that they would start every morning by 8 o'clock and they were here every morning by 8 o'clock. They worked all day and they did not stop working until 5 o'clock in the evening. They only took a half an hour for lunch. I most definitely would use them in the future if I had to use them for anything. In fact, I am thinking about having them to build up my porch off of the master suite this spring or summer."

"I just moved into this house last September. The old gutters were terrible: they were pretty narrow. They were also made of fairly thin metal, so they had bowed out in several spots. In heavy rainstorms, they just couldn't take the volume of water and I had water falls in several spots where the gutters bowed out. Also, part of the gutter was missing in the back. Unfortunately, that was right over the back door, so if we went out side in even the lightest rain, we got dripped on or poured from the roof. So, the outside of the house was very wet after every rain fall, which probably explains why the basement is so humid.
So, I got 4 or 5 estimates last fall to replace the gutters. None of the other companies inspired much confidence in me (some engaged in some very high pressure tactics). I wasn't really happy with any of them.
But, in June, I called for an estimate and I was very satisfied with the both the estimate and the type of gutter proposed (heavier gauge aluminum gutter that was wider with bigger downspouts than any of the other companies showed me). Their estimate was about the same amount of money as those other companies (most fell in the range of $1000 - $1300, but one estimate to replace the gutters was $1800).
Once I signed the contract, the work was scheduled very quickly (in less than 2 weeks). On the scheduled day, the installer was prompt and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. Cleanup was very good (we just found 2 old brackets from the old gutters under a bush, I can understand how they missed them).
Another reviewer said this company did a very poor of cleaning up: that wasn't my experience at all. Also, we have a koi pond very close to the front of the house and none of the work debris ended up in the pond, thank goodness! So, the work was done very carefully.
I am delighted that the new gutters are actually keeping my house dry! They did an excellent job of matching the gutter and fascia color to the color of the old gutter and the existing fascia.
The only thing I didn't like was that they don't take credit cards (I wanted to be able to spread out the cost), but I had the cash in the bank for this job, so that's OK.
Overall, I am very happy with how everything turned out. Thanks! It's so nice to not have waterfalls off my roof anymore!"

"My house was built in 1925 and has had issues related to the box gutter system
and roof for sometime. I originally had come out and do an estimate for
both a roof replacement and a gutter replacement. When I discovered that the
roofing was going to be subcontracted out, I decided to go with a roofer that I
could research on my own.
The contour blocking was needed to replace the rotted soffits, this was an additional expense not included in the estimate. This was money well spent because replaced the wood with PVC. I was satisfied with the blocking, venting, and column replacements. They retained the character of the house and will eliminate the long term problems that the old box gutter system caused.
I did have two important issues that left a bad impression with me.
First, when the roofer came to install the roof, he could not do his work because had a left an overhang that would preclude the installation of the roof. I had to pay for the installation of the drip and cutting back of this sheathing. only offered to reimburse me for half of the expense. Furthermore, the roof sheathing that removed was not replaced with roof sheathing. It was replaced with a cheaper chip board which soaks up water unlike a normal roof sheathing board. did complain to me that this was a result of working with two different contractors. I felt that this was somewhat unprofessional considering the two had met and an opportunity to discuss the specifics before hand.
Second, several holes were left after the contour blocking was set in. I asked to come back and fill these holes. filled the holes with a spray foam sealer that he assured me animals or other pests could not eat through. I researched the sealer and discovered that animals can in fact eat through it at which point I was told metal mesh was installed to preclude this. Knowing the specifics of a process goes a long way towards developing comfort and trust with a customer who is spending a great deal of money to have the work done.
Overall, was polite and worked hard under difficult weather to complete the work.
I was not entirely comfortable during the process as I feel some short cuts were taken.
I would also encourage him to itemize his billing. Every contractor I have worked with has
done this in the past, and I feel paying customers deserve as much transparency as possible. Since no guarantee is attached to the work did nor to the work that was contracted out, I would have some reservations about recommending him for a large scale project."

"I first contacted shortly after we bought and moved into a 1921 neo- house. The front wrap around porch originally had a built-in gutter. However the gutter had been covered over with plywood and the roof shingled so that water just ran down in front of the entrance to the house. The loss of the built-in gutter plus the dangling shingles definitely took away from the street appeal and practically speaking made entrance to the front door during rain unappealing.
, estimator and roofing expert for and his expert metal roofer, , both worked with me to develop a plan that resulted in a new and better built in gutter and a burgundy wrap around tern metal roof with a beautiful sunburst at the rounded corner of the porch. and his assistant were always courteous, upbeat, thorough and expert in their work. I especially liked that they didn't leave any edges unfinished and that they were willing to make some small adjustments and work with me without charging extra for every little thing. It was a pleasure to work with everyone at . This wasn't a cheap project. I feel, however, that it was money well spent because it makes the house look 100% better from the front as well as making me and my wife feel good about the looks of the house. This new roof upgrades the architectural appeal of the whole house.
I really enjoyed working with the folks at and couldn't be more pleased with their work and with our new roof.
H.
P.S. On their last day on the job our attic fan stopped working. They were able to replace it that day. They also made an adjustment to a gutter on the top roof and cleaned, painted a small metal roof that joins two sections of the top roof and cleaned and painted two outside metal shelves at the attic windows.

"We contacted for a quote after several of our neighbors used them for siding and other projects. They provided a competitive quote, and started work a few weeks after we signed the contract. The workers on-site were very polite and tried to minimize disruption to our daily routine, and handled slight changes to the scope of work with aplomb and flexibility. The work took longer than expected due to some ordering mix-ups, as well as heavy rain, but that was out of their control, and was upfront about delays, and estimated timing. Clean-up could have been more through, but overall we were very pleased with the work that was done, and would definitely recommend ."

"They did pretty good work for the price. It took two days and they cleaned up behind themselves. They had to replace parts of the wood. The price was okay and I had checked out other companies. I think I had to call them twice. I think they had some back up. Once they started, the job was done very quickly. They came by each day. I wasn't disappointed with their work."

"We are extremely satisfied with our new roof and gutters. was able to identify the builder of our home and pointed out that the builder had typically installed crown molding instead of facia board. offered suggestions, provided a very detailed estimate, and explained everything that would need to be done. The work began approximately 2 weeks after signing the contract and was completed in one week. Communication was excellent during the job. called me to let me know that several sheets of plywood had some rot and needed to be replaced. Everything was done as promised and when promised. The crew left our yard in immaculate shape with no signs of construction debris."

"The first time I used him, I was very impressed. His prices were reasonable, and he seemed very organized and professional. The method they used was very efficient. I then called them back to do pressure washing with low pressure, but it ended up being high pressure instead. Then I called them to clean the gutters again, I realized fifteen minutes later that I needed to reschedule so I could be home. Mr. sounded frustrated about this but went ahead and rescheduled anyway. Then they never showed up for the appointment and would not answer several calls that I made on different days. I will not use them again for this reason."
