Richmond Chimney Covers Reviews
We had wanted him to come inspect our chimney before using it for the first time (we recently bought the house). He looked at the outside of the chimney (did not go up on the roof, but looked from the ground) and looked up into the chimney from inside our house.
He explained future work that we should consider doing very clearly and even showed me an example of what he was talking about by pointing at my neighbors house.
He walked me through how to open and close the flu and let me know that some customers have trouble with this type, but reassured me that if I needed help, just to give them a call.
At the end of his visit he wrote a detailed report of the visit and his recommendation for future work.
The only negative...For the work that was done, I feel like $80 was a little high considering all he really did was look at our roof and look up the chimney, but having the peace of mind is worth it to us.
In addition, I was pleased they accept visa and mastercard with no additional fees like some other companies will charge the consumer.
The two-man crew showed up as promised on all 3 days. They worked efficiently and didn't make a mess of any sort, even though they were doing the reline with a 40-foot flexible stainless tube and multiple bags of concrete mix, etc.
The larger of the 2 jobs was relining a 97-year-old chimney for the boiler and then capping it. It had to be done because the old clay liner was broken. The job also involved repointing some brickwork. The smaller job was installing a top sealing chimney damper on the front chimney.
I have already recommended them to friends.
