Auto Repair Reviews in Richmond

My experience with
was great. The shop was recommended to me by the mechanics at Forest Hill Garage (another great establishment), and before scheduling the job, I also noticed all the positive reviews here at Angie's List.
and his wife / assistant were friendly, professional, responsive, and flexible when it came to getting the estimate (and eventually the repair) scheduled. I also got estimates at two other places before doing the work, and
had the lowest quote. The work was done right on time as scheduled and looked great (nice tight seals and the paint match - both color and finish (“glossiness") - was perfect). Furthermore, I had a scuff on my door (totally unrelated to the fender) and, when I came to pick my car up, I asked
about it. He told me to bring the car back and that he'd
it out for me free of charge. He was good on his word and now the door looks like nothing ever happened to it. Very positive experience overall; I would definitely recommend
to anyone needing body work and / auto painting. (In fact I recently recommended them to my folks).

A friend, backing past my parked car, cut it too close & scraped the left rear door of my Toyota 4-Runner. While not severely damaged, I knew that I (a female) would not know how to repair it correctly. I checked Angie's list & this company was the top recommended in my area. I called them and got an appt. for an estimate that very afternoon. Took my SUV, met the owner who looked at the damage. His response was "wait, let me show you something". He left and returned with a can of solvent and a rag. He preceeded to remove most of the damage, which while I knew was superficial, I did not realize was actually on top of the paint. What didn't come off then, he removed with a rubbing compound. I was left with two tiny spots where the paint was actually removed. He recommended going to the dealer, purchasing and using a tube of touch-up paint.

I insisted on paying the owner for the 20 min of his work to help me and he absolutely refused, saying he believes we were all here on earth to help one another. Now I am telling this story, because this man is obviously a man of very high integrity. While I certainly hope that I never need his services again....especially for anything severe, I definitely would use him if I did. It is apparent to me that he does not take advantage of either people or situations. How rare is that? It would have been so very easy for him to have sold me services I didn't need. This is a true story and, no, I had never met him before. I would like to see people this honorable get lots of business for such ethical work.

Auto Repair reviews in Richmond

On a Thursday evening, I hit a deer near my house. The car did not need to be towed home, but it wasn't driveable at any speed. Crusiers was recommended by a friend. I called Friday morning, and they were at my house, with their flat-bed truck within a couple of hours. Their estimate seemed reasonable, so they took the SUV to the shop. In addition to the work they needed to do, the car also needed to be checked out mechanically, and a new windshield installed. They handled all of this and kept me well informed. They arranged for a rental car and handled everything associated with the insurance. I felt could comfortably put everything in their hands. The work was done quickly. The parts and paint job look like new. When I got the car back, they had also washed it. (It needed it!) On a side note, at the same time they replaced the windshield washer nozzles on the hood. A squirrel at them off. However, they said they couldn't come to the house and handle the squirrel.

I had left my car at body shop and they were to deliver to service center (just down street) for the regular service. Somewhere between the body shop and the service center, a huge gash was put in my front tire. I just happened to notice it when inspecting - they apparently did it and/or missed it in the supposed safety inspection they were supposed to have done as a part of regular service. The service center claimed they didn't do it (and admitted they had missed it in alleged safety inspection even though it was huge and very obvious) and said I'd have to work it out with the body shop. So, I had to have them put on spare and drove to body shop. The person I dealt with there claimed it didn't happen there, that must have happened at service center, but agreed to replace the tire for free. Overall, just very unprofessional on the part of the service center. I was satisfied with body work and grateful for the one female staff member at body shop who agreed to replace the tire. Wouldn't deal with

again for anything and would instead choose West Broad VW who have always seemed much more professional and with whom I've never had trouble. Picked
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
this time solely because I could get the body work and regular service done in the same trip. But I would rate Body Shop as a B and the Service Center as F.

My insurance provided recommended
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
Auto Body as a USAA select provider, so I contacted them the morning after my accident. They saw me immediatly and called the insurance adjuster immediatly. They deal with Farm Bureau Virginia and USAA insurance regurlarly and are very helpful and professional. In addition to the insurance work, I asked them to repair a rust and

area on my hood from an earlier accident. The cost to repaint was reduced as they were mixing enough paint for the rear and

area. I was pleased with the color matching as that can tend to be a problem with after

paint jobs. Overall, I will gladly recommed

Auto Body, but hope I won't have to return any time soon!

He was easy to work with and did a nice job. I was happy with his services and I will continue to recommend him.

I bought a car from him for $6,000. Someone crashed into me and he fixed me up real good. They give good service and will always find the car that I am looking for.

After noticing my driver side door panel was severally dented (which I assume was a neighbor parking his/her car in our apt. parking lot) I stopped by
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
for an estimate.
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
, the owner, came out and gave me a quote of $400 , which he wrote on the back of a business card and said it could be done in 24 hrs. After thinking about it for a week, I called and they got me in within three days. The repair took 48 hours versus 24 as quoted, but price was exactly as stated including tax. They did a great job and washed the car before returning it to me. He currently does not take credit cards so be sure to bring a check book, cash, or insurance money etc.

A co-worker referred me to
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
. They paid a lot of attention to detail. When
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
received one of the replacement doors, he said it was unacceptable in quality and ordered another, so it would be a few more days before I could get my car back. I didn't mind since the insurance company had to pay for my rental car while my car was in the shop. But I was glad that
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
took great care to make sure the job was done right. Before I picked up my car,
Richmond Auto Repair Provider Name Locked
detailed my car inside and out, a nice touch. The car looked great!

The car was transported from out of state (we were on vacation when the accident happened) to Dominion. They coordinated all the work with the insurance company and kept me up to date on the work. When I told them my rental car allotment would run out on a specific day, they made sure that the work was done before then - cutting 5 days off their original estimate. Soon after I got my car back I had some problems with the car not starting, which I assumed was related to the work Dominion had done. It did not, but the representative spent 45 minutes with my car figuring out what was wrong and fixed it. Not only didn't he charge me, but he wouldn't accept a tip. I've had several good experiences with Dominion and I'll definitely be going back to them.
