"They kept changing our scheduled time to install the spa. We were able to accommodate them. Then, they ended up having to drain our pool and move it because they did not have the cover installed. They were having a plumber coming one day, an installer the next. We called and asked them if we could fill it up with water before the cover was installed. They assured us we could. When the installer came out to install the cover, he said he couldn't do it because it had water in it. We drained the pool again. He called in and told the woman at the store the situation and she was very rude to me on the phone, even though we had been changing our appoint times to accommodate them. They told the electrician what size the pool was going to be, he dug a trench into our patio where he put the grounding wire. He assured us that the trench would be covered by the pool, but it shows all the way around. They never showed us in a clear way how to take care of it - there was no book or manual provided for the first week. The first guy came out and just dumped some chlorine in, he never checked the filters. The water was really dirty and warm. I was paying them $45 a week to clean it. They finally came out last Friday and drained and cleaned the pool, making us feel as if this whole mess was our fault. When I first called in and told her about our problems, she was very irritated with us. They are not very customer friendly. "

"Bad, Frustrating, Aggravating, Expensive! I scheduled the job during the summer of 2007, the salesman was excellent, promised me the world! The job was supposed to be completed by the first of November and was supposed to take one week to complete. They kept saying they were waiting for permits, etc. They hadn't even applied because they sent a surveyor out in mid November. (As an Oh by the way, my property taxes have almost doubled as a result of the survey, permits and new appraisal triggered by my sunroom). After much proding they finally started in mid November (they finished the end of January). First they chainsawed my relatively new deck to set footings. I didn't have a problem with the chain saw, I had a problem with tearing out more deck then necessary, which ended up in additional expense down the road. Then I waited. Finally they came to install and the room was not what I had ordered but it was too late to change because it was virtually constructed before I could tell it wasn't right. The process went on for ever. They finally more or less completed it at the end of January (three months after what they had promised). If I had known about the time issues I wouldn't have done it at all because I needed the room to be completed before the cold weather set in. Then I still had to have the deck rebuilt by someone else. In addition, I was assured that the glass was "special" and that temperature control was not a big issue because of the special glass. I see as much as a 30 or 40 degree temperature variation in one day. I have to use an auxillary heater/air conditioner (which they sold me). This unit is supposed to be thermostatically controlled. That doesn't work either, it's either on or off. The product looks a lot better in the showroom or on paper then it is in real life. And the sales pitch has nothing to do with what you get! I have not reported on this until now because they had assured me that they would correct some of these issues. Almost 2.5 years later, I don't think that's going to happen. "

"The pool cleaning went well. The problem came when we asked them to service the pumps, filters and heater. We had moved out of the house and renters had recently moved in. The renters had gotten another pool service out to the house to give them an estimate on a cleaning service. The repair man "Rich" from
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
saw the other service in front of our house and did not realize that
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
's had been cleaning our pool for the last 3 years. He told me that our pool had been so poorly maintained that it needed $4,400 (thats right, four thousand four hundred) in repairs, and it might be more. However, when educated to the fact that
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
's did indeed clean our pool for the last 3 years he completly back tracked and said first maybe the pool heater was old (nope only 3 years) and then that it did not need these repairs right away and they could be put off and were not that bad.

"Excellent. Rising Sun pools had completely screwed up the job, cracked the pipe and not put it back together correctly. Called Hammerhead, they got right out there (
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
is a great guy), found the issue, showed me how Rising Sun broke it, and then he ran around and got parts and fixed it all in a matter of hours. From now on, I'll use Hammerhead, even if my work is warranty work under Rising Sun. It's not worth the headaches to use Rising Sun for service work. Plus, Hammerhead even did tests on my water to let me know if I needed to add any chemicals. Best service yet."

"I have a salt-water pool and filter system which I purchased from
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
. Love the pool and they did a good set up. I called them to clean the cell. When removing the unit, a pipe was cracked and the o-ring was loosened, causing the unit to leak "heavily". I called them back. Problem is, you can't get an appointment with
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
. You get put on a waiting list for service, it usually takes 4-6 days before you get called and get someone out. By then, my leak was even worse. I could not wait and called another company to come and fix the issue. The other company found that
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
had cracked the pipe, and loosed the o-ring by removing it incorrectly. This other company (Hammerhead) to their credit, said if I called
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, they should fix it at no cost as it was still under warranty and was their fault. I called
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
again, still 4-5 day wait. I had Hammerhead fix it, since I was already afraid of the work that
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
would do, or worse, they'd simply do another shoddy repair job and lie about how the leak occurred in the first place. If you can't fix it right the first time, why would I believe you would fix it right the 2nd??? And, the thing was leaking like crazy. Hammerhead did a great repair (right the first time). I called
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
to ask for reimbursement for this, they refused. Again,
Raleigh Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
is great for the sale and setup, very happy there, but for service; NO WAY. Call an independent company like Hammerhead pool service.

"The worst experience of my home owner's life--and I have been in my home LONG time and do not expect perfection, but not just complete lack of professionalism--I have hired companies that have not done the best and most professional job, but I knew what to expect to get the basic job done. I had looked at this option for 7 years before taking the plunge. We have few vacations available & the family was excited about the home vacation option as well as spa capabilities for Mom (hip replacement) and dog that nearly lost leg (lots of PT for both).

Street after the debacle in 2007--very expensive rental location) was on site maybe 4 times over the course of the install time of 2 months and he was the preferred installer. The install price was VERY inflated; however, since he was the ONLY recommended installer and it was a custom job, I decided to just deal with the price and expect a quality job. I took out a home equity loan for the job, plus an additional loan--can you say buyer's remorse every time that payment hits my account every month?? My yard and deck have remained in shambles unfortunately due to lack of funds to correct. Family issues have become priority and this issue has fallen to the wayside. MY BIGGEST recommendation to anyone working with a contractor that has an ARBITRATION CLAUSE in their contract is to RUN AWAY or make sure that they change it because it is completely Draconian. His contract includes Arbitration as the only way to settle, like it is a happier, cheaper place for all--not so much. The Attorney General did like the case, but I had to go with contract or lawyer. Spending good money after bad is what they expect and expect you not to want to spend more cash. Arbitration allows them to not show up and participate with the problem--they

due to time. I WON nearly $12,000 in early 2007 and am yet to be paid (had to pay another $2400 to arbitrate and still not paid) because if they don't care about their credit AND/OR can change the NAME of the business (i.e. to their wife's name or another acronym change), then the debt goes unnoticed. I would NEVER normally give a bad reference to ANYONE, but BUYER BEWARE--HSN/

left 16" of dirt/contractor debris in my yard, killing all grass. Did not install required depth of pool, used old wood in work around decking, left uneven concrete under pool liner, shall I go on? Photos are key and can be provided upon request; I have them from beginning until supposed end of project. I always enjoy the work in progress of a home project and had NO idea that they would become evidence. Thanks for listening & I hope that I can help save someone from a lot of dismay.

"We love our pool. We felt the price was fair, the guys that installed it were polite and the pool runs just as it should. The appointment times were kept and the job was finished when they said it would be."

"I was pleased that Aqua could get me in so quickly, especially this time of year. They made the pool look like new again and the paint job they did is quite interesting. The bottom is a few shades a deeper blue than the walls, it is a nice effect. I would refer them to others."

"Very disappointed with the "spa". The first problem came when I tried to make the appointment. I got an answering machine which instructed me to leave a message and they would get right back to me, which they didn't. There was no relaxing welcome, as is custom for spas. I was told to follow a woman who basically left me waiting in some hallway after she disappeared in some break room area. Then, when I entered the treatment room, the technician told me to undress, offered a wrap after I was nearly undressed, and didn't even leave the room so I could change."

"They did a fine job at a reasonable cost. The work was done by the time expected. The workers were informative and professional. I am happy with their service. I would advise others to use their services."
