"This was a great experience from start to finish. They showed up with great samples, great ideas, and a wealth of knowledge.
I had a friend here to help me make decisions, but it was a lot easier than I anticipated because the design ideas

came up with were so on point for my needs.
Two of my chairs were from

shops, but I found them to be comfortable but not so attractive. I had almost decided to give both away. I'm glad I didn't!
The first was an easy chair with an ottoman. I thought it was from the 50s, but
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
estimated it was more likely 100 years old. It is now more comfortable and beautiful, but its character remains intact.
The second was an "office chair" I was on the fence about re-doing. But its excellent structural features were shown to me and a great suggestion to recover it in a recycled , soft leather was made.
Third was an antique gooseneck rocking chair--with broken wood on the front, horrible homemade repairs on the arms, and a faded fabric. All of that was repaired and the fabric replaced with a much better fabric to complement the wood.
Everyone who has seen the finished products are amazed.
Furniture was delivered a tiny bit later than I thought, but I had been warned that fall home shows and commitments might slow them down a bit.

"I made an appointment for them to come and give me an estimate on my leather chair repair. I had tried several people from online. My girlfriend told me about
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
as she had some work done. I joined Angies List was so pleased that they were on your site. I called and

and his son came and gave me a fair honest estimate. They told me if I wanted to "shop around" they would beat any price. I was impressed with his professional manner I decided right then that he would be the one to do the job. Several other folks made an appointment to give me an estimate and either didn't show or told me they couldn't do tha type of repair.
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
assured me that it wouldn't take an extremely long time to repair and told me the color might be better since the other color was very old. Well four days later, I received a phone call that my chair was done. He insisted on delivering it when it was convenient for me. He delivered my chair, I was so happy with my "new", I couldn't wait to give him a rave review! I referred him to friend and she has had the same great experience.
I will keep referring him to anyone who needs this type of work done..

"The table was picked up and take to the location. It was determined that they needed to order new runners in order to repair the table. There was a delay in getting the runners. Once they were finally in, the repair work was done. They did a very good job.

did an outstanding job in short order. I dropped the chair off at their studio on a Monday and they indicated it would take about a week to repair. They called after three days and indicated it was ready to be picked up. It is like new. We are very pleased."

"This was a great choice for our furniture to get back to beautiful. There was a little bit of confusion on when the pieces were to be picked up, but nothing catastrophic since the quality far outweighed anything. The staff and owner are very very knowledgeable and we will use them in the future."

"They did a fantastic job. They were able to complete the work in less than two weeks. The price included the re-upholstering and a finish. They did A+ quality work. I would definitely use them again in the future. "

"The work was well done. The sofa looks better than it has in over 50 years. I grew up with this sofa as a child and it still sits better today than any new sofa I have ever sat on anywhere. It is solid, firm and supports the back and the body in a way sofas built today are just not built or designed to do. That is the reason I spent the money to have it rebuilt and recovered. I've waited for 25 years to have this work done.

was punctual, arriving on time, calling to schedule the delivery time, and delivering on time. He gave us an estimate of between $1600 and $1700, depending on what fabric I chose. He stayed on top of his subcontractor doing the upholstery work to insure the job was done in a timely fashion and the work was professionally completed. He invited us to come by and take a look at his location and see how the work is done, which we did. Since I used to do hand

of antiques, rebuilding and reupholstery work, in another life time ago, so I am very familiar with all the aspects involved. It is difficult, dirty, and time consuming labor.

is set up to do dip stripping, however I prefer not to do this on my antiques. But I can say that the sofa has never looked or sat better than it does now. We have a great many pieces of furniture we have inherited which will need to have repair work done to, not necessarily complete

will be called again. My only request that was not followed through on was that I did not receive the remainder of any unused fabric, and there were no protective sleeve caps made for the sofa to prevent wear, which the upholsterer would be expected to think about, as a long term protective measure against dirt, stains and wear on the sleeves. As an artist, I use all types of items in my creative work. So I wanted to use the remnants of this heavy gauge fabric.

"They ended up making two trips to pick up the pieces because one was discovered later than the others, which I appreciated. He said up front it would take several months because they were so busy with work. I believe it was about 3 months and I probably delayed the completion about 2 weeks because I was having trouble finding fabric for them to do the reupholstering on the chair.

and his people did a fabulous job--all four pieces looked better than I had ever seen them. He was very concerned with making sure I'd be happy with the color of the finish, especially one cherry table which had become orange in

over the years from sun damage. He suggested restoring it back to what it probably looked like when my grandmother purchased the table, and it looks beautiful. I had been planning to consign the chair after the repair, but it looks so fabulous I kept it.
