Furniture Repair Reviews in Raleigh

Over the last several months I had communicated with
, through text and phone regarding the project. It was not until about four or five months had passed before I realized I was never going to have the modified gazebo I was looking forward to, nor was I going to see my money, or
, ever again!!! Our last phone conversation on May 15, 2014,
agreed that he needed to return the money, and I agreed to installments of $500 each, until all of the money was returned. It has been two months since that conversation, and I haven't heard or seen anything. I do not believe I will ever see any of this money. It's a terrible lesson to learn and an expensive lesson. I had no idea
was not a trustworthy person!!! He had already done business and personal projects, and had a pretty good income from the money he was paid. There was never a hint!!! I wish I had seen the review posted here on Angie's List, I may not be out my hard earned $2000.00. My husband and I want to pursue Small Claims Court, but after reading the other review of a customer that did
him, now they are out more money for the Complaint filing fee, the
's fee and Small Claims Court costs.
's a real good talker. don't be taken in by his gift of
!!! I hope that one day
will realize what he has done and will not be able to live with the fact that he stole other people’s money. That makes him someone he doesn't admire. The irony!!!

The response to my inquiry was prompt and a gentleman came out to give me an estimate very quickly. He assured me that my old loveseat was a very good one that would not need any repairs, just recovering with a little extra padding. I wanted microsuede in order to be cat claw proof and saw a variety of colors and even different textured. The work was completed in 2 1/2 weeks, well within the estimate. They agreed to pick up at one address and deliver to another as well. I was very happy with the result and will use this company again.

was prompt and professional. He fixed the sectional in less than an hour. I would highly recommend him for any furniture repair or restoration.

Ornate wood frame to mirror on
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
dresser was split in a move. Riber Bend Sutdio did a beautiful job of repairing the frame. Cannot tell it was ever broken. Very pleased. Hired them to work on other pieces of antique furniture and will continue to use them for antique furniture repairs.

and his son came to my house to refinish my table. They worked on it for 2 days & by the time they left, my table looked much worse than before. I expressed concern that it didn't look right, but
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
said he thought it looked fine & he didn't want to keep "
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
with it". I paid them (my mistake) & they left. After examining my table thoroughly, I could see that it looked horrible. The finish they put on it was inconsistent & looked rippled. I called another furniture refinisher who has been in business for many years. He said they left my table in very poor condition. I wrote to
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
, explaining to him the condition of my table & asking him for his thoughts. He wrote me back, stating that he would come back & work on it. I told him the other refinisher had taken my table to refinish & asked him for a refund. From that point on, The
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
refused to communicate with me at all. They would not answer any email, or let me know what their thoughts were concerning my table. Very frustrating and unprofessional. I was friendly. After not hearing from them for over a month, I finally contacted The Furniture Medic franchiser & filed a complaint. Only then did I get a short email & full refund. I would never use this business again. They are a fairly new business & I don't think they have the experience needed for large projects. They also have not yet learned how to deal with their customers in a timely & constructive way. I have never been treated so unprofessionally.

Within just a couple days of my phone call to
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
, they came to my house, assessed the restoration project and picked it up to begin the work. The 1921 Singer sewing machine cabinet was in terrible shape- missing and damaged veneer , broken drawers, worn finish, etc.
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
did a remarkable job restoring it. It took longer than we expected but all during the process I was contacted with updates as to the progress. The outcome was unbelievable! It looks good as new while still maintaining its authentic, antique look. Great customer service from start to finish and excellent quality of work. I would definitely call them again.

After seeing
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's work in a friend's home, I called right away to ask about restoring my own furniture. The furniture has been in family for many generations, and I had delayed restoring it because I didn't want to take a

on pieces being ruined in the process. Mr.
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
contacted me promptly, and came to my home at the agreed appointment time. He knew his stuff--far more than I did! He helped me choose new upholstery for the chairs, keeping in mind that my 6 cats can be rather difficult in that department. We also arranged for various other repairs, especially for the civil war desk which was in dilapidated condition. The Audubon print, which was in poor shape due to many years in a damp beach house, looked like a goner to me, but Mr.
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
explained that much of the apparent damage was on the frame and glass rather to the print itself. We arranged a time for
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
's crew to pick up the items a week or so later.
The guys came so promptly I practically could have timed them to the second. They were very polite and took great care with the furniture. After about 3 weeks, I received a call saying the furniture was ready to be delivered to my home. Again, the guys came exactly on time, and returned my now SUPER LOOKING restored furniture with care.
Everything looks just gorgeous. I am so happy to recommend
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
. They really do first rate work. I will definitely use them in the future to restore other items I was keeping back, just in case something went wrong. It's great to find a company I can trust with long-time family treasures.

They called and scheduled appointment, came to the house to look at pieces that needed repair and gave estimate. Called to schedule repair work. They arrived on time, very knowledgeable about the repairs, very pleasant. Repairs were done in a timely manner and I am very pleased with the results. I have already referred them to a neighbor.

This was a great experience from start to finish. They showed up with great samples, great ideas, and a wealth of knowledge.
I had a friend here to help me make decisions, but it was a lot easier than I anticipated because the design ideas
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
came up with were so on point for my needs.
Two of my chairs were from
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
shops, but I found them to be comfortable but not so attractive. I had almost decided to give both away. I'm glad I didn't!
The first was an easy chair with an ottoman. I thought it was from the 50s, but
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
estimated it was more likely 100 years old. It is now more comfortable and beautiful, but its character remains intact.
The second was an "office chair" I was on the fence about re-doing. But its excellent structural features were shown to me and a great suggestion to recover it in a recycled , soft leather was made.
Third was an antique gooseneck rocking chair--with broken wood on the front, horrible homemade repairs on the arms, and a faded fabric. All of that was repaired and the fabric replaced with a much better fabric to complement the wood.
Everyone who has seen the finished products are amazed.
Furniture was delivered a tiny bit later than I thought, but I had been warned that fall home shows and commitments might slow them down a bit.
Communication via messages within Angie's list were answered promptly.

I made an appointment for them to come and give me an estimate on my leather chair repair. I had tried several people from online. My girlfriend told me about
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
as she had some work done. I joined Angies List was so pleased that they were on your site. I called and
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
and his son came and gave me a fair honest estimate. They told me if I wanted to "shop around" they would beat any price. I was impressed with his professional manner I decided right then that he would be the one to do the job. Several other folks made an appointment to give me an estimate and either didn't show or told me they couldn't do tha type of repair.
Raleigh Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
assured me that it wouldn't take an extremely long time to repair and told me the color might be better since the other color was very old. Well four days later, I received a phone call that my chair was done. He insisted on delivering it when it was convenient for me. He delivered my chair, I was so happy with my "new", I couldn't wait to give him a rave review! I referred him to friend and she has had the same great experience.
I will keep referring him to anyone who needs this type of work done..
