Electrical Reviews in Raleigh

I bought a special from Angie's List for
. It was the first time I had taken advantage of one of the specials. When I purchased, I was able to enter some times that I was available for service.
followed up with a phone call within the next day. I explained what I wanted done, and a service call was schedule for the next day first thing in the morning.
showed up on time and I pointed him to what needed to be done. The Angie's List special was for "$89 for an Electrical Service Call + $100 Credit Towards Service".
had a laminated, pre-printed price sheet, so he told me the price upfront based on the sheet. No magic numbers pulled out of his head.
I had not mentioned my faulty light switch on the phone; it only occurred to me after I made the appointment. Given the
nature of the repair, he said he'd be able to get it done. He added up the estimate and discounted the $100 from the total. He told me how long it would take. I took the price.
I did no comparison shopping for this job, so I can't comment on whether it was a good value or not. I guess that might be a shortcoming of the Angie's List deals. Not certain what happens if I decided not to use
. I did, however, take
's ratings on Angie's List before deciding to purchase the deal.
did all the work faster than he estimated. It did require him to be in the attic on a
morning to add the electrical drop and ventilation fan in my bathroom. He mentioned that since he was alone, he wouldn't have been able to do the work if he hadn't gotten an early start. If you think they might have to get in the attic, make sure you get a very early appointment.
When he was done,
also showed me that the outlet was drawing power with his
. I had a similar
, and it likewise showed power. He did the work with the outlet and the fan without any cosmetic issues. I did not need to patch or paint anything afterwards.
The issue with the light switch was
, and he showed me how I would have been able to repair it myself.
Finally, he went over a couple other issues I might want to get looked at. He mentioned that the attic ventilation fan was not triggering correctly. He gave me an estimate for a thermostat or a motor, depending on the root cause. He also gave me an estimate for a whole house surge protector. That part sounded like a upsell that they provide for everyone, but there was absolutely pressure for any additional services. It did get me thinking about whether I needed such a thing.

I called a week ago and spoke to
. I needed the work done soon for house closing.
arrived on time and got started right away. They were very friendly and heard everything I said.
They finished on time and everything works and looks great!! I would call them again for any electric work.
for your awesome work.

The owner did the work himself and did all the little things that would
set his business ahead of the larger companies. I would definitely call

After another company began the job of updating our outlets and ran into difficulty, the technician was called off of the job and we were
abandoned. My wife and I were at a loss for what to do; we had paid for time and nothing had gotten done. We found
Raleigh Electricians Provider Name Locked
on Angie’s List and they came in where the other guys left off. They diagnosed the problem and replaced all of our outlets and switches.

were professional and affordable. They did quality work and cleaned up after themselves. In fact, the original problem required that new wiring be run from the attic, so they ended up having to stay late into the evening to make sure the job was done before they left. Although I

Initial service was excellent, good customer service, good timing and good work, we were impressed by their work the first time so we called a second time for installation of a pool heater. We had a difficult time getting ahold of someone and they would not return calls. When we finally talked to someone we were told they would get back to us with an estimate and have not gotten a response yet. We went back to the original electrical company we used.

They had good ideas on what kind of lighting to use, and completed the work within 4 1/2 hrs., which was more quickly than promised. The only negative was that they came a half an hour to an hour early and woke me up at 7:30 Saturday morning. If you don't want them to wake you up, just tell them, and I'm sure they'll oblige :-)

drove out to my house and personally apologized and asked if he could perform the work as originally planned. A sincere apology goes along way in my book. Was pleased with his work. I'd prefer not to advertise the price I recieved for his labor thus the $0.00 but it was a hefty discount.
Company needs to improve it's communications on aproximate arrivals.

The service provided sent message within 24 hours of purchase of deal and a service provider was out within 2 days of purchase. Service provider was on time, professional and provided helpful tips for future maintenance. The service provided fixed the issues I had and I have had no trouble since the service was provided.

Let's be clear. The technician was outstanding and his work very good. I don't want to confuse the electrician with the company. This company is a scam. They literally nickel and dime you for everything. You aren't paying someone hourly (labor) and for parts like most service people where you pay a call fee + hourly + parts. Every single thing they look at has a diagnostic charge of $99. Want someone to look at a fixture in a bathroom and one in the den? That's 2 $99 charges. He was there for less than an hour replacing (2) outdoor outlets and looking at a fan and charged me $300 and that's AFTER the 'deal' here. ($400 total cost)
I'm a reasonable guy and my work has me interacting with vendors all the time. An electrician should cost around $100/hr + parts. If it's specialty skills or unique work then it could go as high as $150/hr. I thought that's what I was getting when I did their special deal.
There were call fees, diagnostic fees, etc etc. It was completely unexpected and unprofessional. It takes advantage of people who don't know anything. I only went ahead with the work because I couldn't get a refund for 'scam' deal on angies list.
Do not do work with this vendor until they change their billing practices. It's borderline BBB complaint.

arrived right on time, with a very friendly disposition and a level of expertise that was very impressive. He immediately saw the problem with the hot water faucet and fixed it completely. He then took a look at our hot water heater and our water filtration system to discern if there were any noticeable problems. He tested our water and made some suggestions for improvement. We will be following up with

in a week or two to determine our next step in maintaining a healthy, clean water system. He also explained the company's President's Club program. We were extremely impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. We will definitely use
