Concrete Driveway Installation And Repair Reviews in Raleigh

eyThis contractor was simply the VERY Best in all aspects of this work. The team (incl the company owner) notified me a day in advance of the work, arrived on time and with regards to the finished product, I can simply say fantastic!. These gentlemen know concrete and it was evident that they take extreme pride in their work and final product. I would recommend this company without any reservation, you will not be disappointed.

The entire experience was riddled with delays (not weather related),excuses for no shows and delays and no calls to alert me to a no show or delay. Workers showing up (with their wives) at noon and trying to bug out at 3:00, trying to delay another day when the job was supposed to be finally finished that day After several issues, the excuses appeared as
to me. I forced the job to be finished on October 3rd. The managing partner told me that morning he would return the following Monday to settle up. He never showed up and never called since. He told me the Bagster full of debris would be picked up by Saturday or Sunday. ANOTHER LIE. I ended up calling Waste Management a week later and I paid for the pick up, only to find out they had no record of him scheduling a pick up.

Finally, the original "discounted" price was 5,500. The final cost was 7,700. No professional underestimates a job by 2,200. He asked me for a review so here it is. Angies List needs to scrutinize their recommendations closer.

came on time and did a very nice job. His crew left no mess and were very professinal. The hole job looks great. I plan on using J&L concrete again.

It want very well. The crew was on time and worked constantly. There was no horsing around. They seemed to know exactly what to do and when. When they had finished, they had created a very, very nice looking driveway, far nicer than the driveway of 23 years ago, when we moved in. We are very pleased.

. is excellent, from estimate, communication, response, scheduling, work, and follow-up, A+++ These guys make concrete work look easy! His whole crew were professional and experienced. Took great care in making sure the job was done well on a rather difficult slope, adding a turnaround pad as requested, tapered nicely into the driveway, and even straightening the curve out of the driveway, at his own suggestion, which we agreed to before the job began. These guys are quick, neat, knowledgeable, and responsible. Involved two dump trucks and two concrete trucks, which all arrived according to schedule set up by

. We picked this company from 3 different quotes, and this company was very competitively priced for the job done. We are very pleased with all aspects of the job!

I've used Fairway before a couple of years ago at the suggestion of my manager at work.As they did that time, they were on time, professional, courteous and very good at the work they performed. They do not use a real high pressure sprayer and are very careful not to hit the windows and siding too hard. The first time I used them several years ago, they failed to tape over the exterior outlets to prevent water from infiltrating the electrical outlet openings. I didn't give this any advance thought. This ultimately caused some unexpected problems causing the GFI Circuit Breaker in the interior 200 amp electrical panel to trip repeatededly. I did not expect this to be a problem prior to Fairway performing the work.
Subsequently, I had both exterior outlets replaced with new weather resistant outlets to keep pressure washing water from infiltrating the outlet. In addition, both exterior outlets were caulked on all sides to prevent water getting behind the outlet. I highly recommend installing weather resistant exterior outlets on your home followed by caulking the perimeter of the exterior outlets prior to an exterior pressure wash job.
Once the outlets were replaced, the problem disappeared with the GFI Circuit Breaker tripping.
The second time (Fairway Job being reviewed in this report) on April 13, 2012, Fairway prepped for the job and taped the outlets (2). As a result, there was no problem this time. I highly recommend asking them to do this whenever pressure washing the exterior of your home.
What I really like about Fairway is that they use a lower pressure water spray and are very careful to not hit the windows too hard which otherwise could break the ceil on the thermopane windows. They're very expensive to replace and there are 55 individual thermopane window panes on this house.
Worth noting, the seals on the existing windows did break from a previous pressure washing job performed by an exterior painter that caused the seals to break on most of my window panes which were replaced at considerable expense (More than the cost of the exterior paint job). The subject pressure washing job was performed prior to using Fairway and I'd use Fairway anytime prior to an exterior painting job to avoid this issue ever happening again. This comment was not a slam on the painter who did an excellent job of painting the house with two (2) coats of brushed on paint using high quality

and his team did an excellent job on our repaving project. We had a cracked driveway compromised by tree roots and some serious drainage issues causing water to back up into garage. They were able to properly grade the property to alleviate the drainage, raise the front sidewalk to level, add an additional parking pad and new sidewalk to side of house. They were also able to add an 8X10 pad in the backyard at a moment's notice for a very reasonable price when we decided to build a storage shed after they had already estimated the project. The concrete work is exceptional and of high quality, so it will last probably past our lifetime!

's team was very professional and they really knew exactly what was needed to grade everything perfectly. We are the fourth house in our neighborhood this spring to engage

's company for concrete work, and I'm sure we won't be the last house. We had estimates from several other companies with A ratings on Angie's List, and

was the lowest. We highly recommend

They did a great job. They were very helpful with suggestions, had creative concrete, did a nice job, and cleaned up after themselves.

Very good from the start Serguei and
Raleigh Driveway Contractors Provider Name Locked
were very responsive on the initial inquiry, came over for a quote and provided a fair price all before the other two providers I looked at had even responded to my inquiry. First class job and service. I would recommend them any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Our old asphalt driveway was in need of replacement. It and the concrete walkway also had issues with water accumulation after rain. We also wanted the length extended to tie in with the slab at the side door of our house.
Raleigh Driveway Contractors Provider Name Locked
gave us a very prompt and attractive estimate that included not only the major work -- replacing the driveway and walkway -- but also fixing some bad patches of concrete. We also decided to increase the width of the driveway after the initial estimate and
Raleigh Driveway Contractors Provider Name Locked
gave us a verbal adjustment over the phone that was very fair. His word was good on the verbal adjustment. The new driveway is graded to allow the water to flow where it needs to, commensurate with the

of our property. The new sidewalk is higher than the old and also graded to allow water to run off.
Raleigh Driveway Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very helpful and cooperative and coordinated with our fence contractor to allow un-concreted space for placement of the 6x6 posts for the two gates. The driveway had to go in first, then the fence.

was present and in charge on both days of the project. The new driveway and walkway look great and have improved the overall appearance of our house. The surface has a "picture frame finish" that also adds to the appearance. We are very pleased with the outcome of this project. One caution: do not let the workers clean the wet concrete from their tools where it can

and cause problems. I have several small places on my lawn where I had to remove a thin

of hardened concrete. I had the same problem with the fence contractor.
