Water Heater Installation And Repair reviews in Providence

Excellent service. This was an emergency in our home, but countless plumbers we called couldn't fit us in before the weekend. Evergreen was highly responsive. Someone picked up when I called. They scheduled us immediately, came within the 2 hour window we agreed upon, and gave us a better price than the other companies I contacted. Service was professional and quick; we had a new heater within 2 hours. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what he was doing and showed me how to use the new heater.

This is the second time Mr.

has done work on our house and both times we have found him to be very thorough, professional, and reassuring to work with. He gave us good advice, answered questions clearly, and was a pleasure to work with.

, the owner of the company, came out, estimated the job, which wasn't an emergency, scheduled the service at my convenience, and came with a highly skilled tradesman to do the job. The guttter cleaning went very well. I've had other companies do this service and they left a mess. NE Renovations left my yard as it was when they got there. I would definitely use this company again.

is a 'traditional' plumbing organization that holds to tried and true technology. Not necessarily one to embrace new methods and products: ie prefers copper to 'pex'. However, that said we have used their services for 10 years and the work has always been completely satisfactory and serviceable. Last year the water heater that rusted out prematurely due to a manufacturing issue was replaced without question and with no charge to us for the product. Their response time has always been prompt and that is no small consideration when your basement is filling up with water!

[Please forgive the delay in this report]
On Saturday 08/20/11 while filling up the bathroom sink, we noticed that the hot water coming from the faucet had an orange color to it. We tried all of the faucets in the house and they were all the same. The cold water however was coming out normally clear. Not being the "handy" guy, I searched the web to find that our issue appeared to be be the result of our Gas Hot Water Heater telling us that its time had come. We called

on Sunday and as I told him that I believe we may need to replace the hot water heater he said "don't tell me...the hot water in all of your faucets is coming out orange." I told him that it was exactly what was happening. 12 years ago we had to replace the hot water heater that was already in the house when it was purchased, and we KNEW that we needed to replace that one when we happened to hear an odd sound of water in the basement. Luckily at that time, it happened 15 minutes after we got home from work. Lucky is right! But I told

that with the orange water, I didn't know if it was an issue with the actual plumbing or the hot water heater. He made plans to be at the house on Monday and he was actually about 15 minutes earlier than we scheduled. He removed the old water heater, and unfortunately, had to wait for the new heater to be delivered. There was some type of hold up at the distributer and

apologized several times for the delay. We had no issue with this, since he had gotten to the house earlier and he had no control over when the heater would physically get here. Once it got to the house

got straight to work and before we knew it, we had hot (and clear) water once again.

is very friendly and professional. He kept us updated and kept us updated thru the installation calling us to come down to the basement when he had something to show us that he wanted us to be aware of. When first seeing the total cost, it appeared to be a bit high, but then again, it had been 12 years since we had replaced a Hot Water Heater. But, when going back to our records, this new Hot Water Heater appears to be of a much higher quality and the funny thing, the cost of the LAST heater was only $100 lower! And that was 12 YEARS AGO! I would have thought that it would have been several hundred dollars MORE than it was back then. So, a mere $100 difference for a higher quality unit, is good in my book! We will definitely use

I had a number of small projects that all had rapidly jumped to the top of my to-do list. The hot water heater was in imminent

of failing, the window was starting to leak, etc. I wanted to find a company that could cover all these things so I wouldn't have to meet with several different contractors. Being your own general contractor may pay off on big projects, but it's not worth it for little stuff because of the time investment.

had a great Angie's list reputation so I gave them a call.

called me back later the same day and we scheduled the estimate for two days later - he was extremely flexible. He came out and evaluated what I needed and said he would be emailing me the estimate in a few days. The following Monday (we had met on Thursday) I had my estimate which was completely reasonable. I also liked the estimate because it broke down each task by price so I knew what each segment of the project was going to cost out of the whole. I agreed to the estimate and he immediately got me a contract by email. Once they received the deposit they scheduled my work. From when I called for the estimate until the work was completed, a total of 2 weeks had passed, which I consider quite good turn around.

and his fellow workers were professional and friendly and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. The work was completed as described and I am very pleased. I plan on using them again - I have a 110 year old house and if it's not one thing, it's another around here!

Although the job was supposed to span two days,

was here two days *in advance* (Monday) to

the old heating pipes for the demolition company (to indicate where the pipes should be cut when the old boilers are removed). Due to a an unfortunate miscommunication on the part of the demolition company,

had to come back that same day to drain the old boilers, disconnect them from the gas line, and disconnect them from the water line. The following day (Tue),

was on hand to accept delivery of the new equipment, and along with a helper the new equipment was unpackaged and brought down into the basement. The packaging material was removed by

+2 arrived promptly at 8 am (7:55, actually...), they set up shop and set off to work. Being a first-time homeowner, I spent a lot of time hovering, asking questions, etc. The crew was very pleasant and didn't seem to mind my presence at all. The installation of the two boilers and one water heater was completed on

just before 1pm, so all in all about a day and a half of work. The boilers/heater look fantastic down there, expertly installed and solid as a rock. My basement has no

of the job - all garbage was disposed of, floor was swept...they even locked the back door behind them. So what else can I say? Spending $11k is not easy, and these guys conduct themselves as if to show you that they know it. Highly recommend!

Overall it went well. They arrived on time on each occasion, did what they said they were going to do in a timely fashion. They did NOT need to go elsewhere to get parts, for example, so they were both skilled and well prepared. Prices are not cheap, but prices are explained up front on the phone when you make the arrangements. We were able to pay with a VISA card. Company cheerfully accepted our Angie's List 5% coupons, presented to them after the charges were drawn up.
Based on three separate experiences with
Providence Water Heater Installers Provider Name Locked
, as well as comments from another friend who has used them for major work, we do not hesitate to recommend them, always keeping the price in mind. Although don't forget, you get what you pay for when it's a well run business -- getting a lower estimate may be possible, but getting lower quality might result.
