and his crew started one week later. They did not complete the job in one day, but that was fine. They completed a couple days later. Every step of the way there was great communication, complete professionalism and an impressive job, overall."

responded promptly to my phone call and we set up a meeting for an estimate. He arrived on time for the estimate, surveyed the area and gave his price. I hired him immediately and we arranged for the work to be done at the end of the week. He arrived on time on Friday. His team worked fast but safely and had the tree completely down in a few hours. The remaining landscaping took the rest of the afternoon and his crew was excellent regarding cleanup. I am 100% satisfied with with work that was performed and will hire him again if I need additional landscaping or tree service performed."

Lessons from the Bradford pear trees

Once mature, Bradford pear trees often split apart. (Photo courtesy of David Lusk of Lusk Tree Care Services)

Planted extensively in the ’80s and ’90s, the Bradford pear tree became a dominant feature in many subdivisions, on commercial properties and in parking lots. All was well until 15 or more years after planting.

job to trim the bottom branches and dead branches on the big maple tree in my backyard. The clean up was so good, i almost forgot they did it while i was at work that day. They worked around my kids swing set and fence around the backyard."

"They were prompt and professional, and did a careful job of Wisteria trimming. There was nothing very complicated about the job; however, it's always satisfying to see a job done well. The price was not cheap but we think it was fair."

"I had some trees trimmed, and it wasn't done until the leaves had already fallen to the ground. It wasn't until much later in the spring when the tree got it's leaves, that I realized that they hadn't cut all the dead off the tree. I can't really fault them, because the trees didn't get done until late."

"It was the father of the owner who came to give an estimate. His was not the least expensive of the estimates I obtained, but he was an affable gentleman and so I picked his son's company. He remained in touch with me and called me to let me know when they would be there. The crew showed up on time, worked very hard and did a very nice job bringing down the trees. A separate person came afterward to grind the stumps and he did a very nice job, too. I thought that the first crew cleaned up pretty well, though not quite as well as I believe they might have. However, I had asked that the larger pieces of wood be left on site so that a neighbor of mine could put it to use and, to be fair, I was told that leaving that lumber on the ground would impede the extent to which they could effectively clean up everything."

"They arrived on time and worked most of the day, returning another day to do the grinding and take away some of the tree trunks (with my okay). While they did a good job overall, they were not very good about removing the residue from the stump grinding. They also killed off a few bushes that were near some of the trees that were cut down, and were crushed by falling timber."

"Called about stump removal. Someone was scheduled to come to look at stump and provide estimate. Not sure if anyone came at date/time specified. Called to follow up. No call back! So, went with another company from Angie's List and they did an excellent job for a reasonable price."

"I would not recommend this company. They were timely to come out and give an estimate. We called them to do the work 3 times. Each time they said someone will call to schedule an appointment. We gave up on them. They were a huge waste of time! They were recommended by a landscaping company. Because of their lack of response that landscaping company lost a landscaping job."
B
"They had an answering service so you get a call back. They were 1 of the 3 that called back out of 7 that I called. Came to see the trees and provided an estimate. Negotiated the service and price and they came within the week. When the crew came they were not told what trees to cut and had to wait for the foreman to arrive. After the foreman arrived, the work we done fairly quickly. All the yard debris was cleaned and holes from the stump grinding were filled."
