Providence Masonry Contractors Reviews

"they came early when they learned they had a cancellation of another customer, did their work quickly and efficiently, educated me on what I had to have done and what could wait...highly recommend them!
"I have a shared driveway so it was critical that the work - which required blocking the driveway - be done as quickly as possible.

send a full crew who blew through a pretty big job in under two days. They did a nice job with the re-pointing and even were able to handle 'add-on' jobs, such as bricking in an old garage window, that I mentioned on the main day of the work. They were on time, polite, and cleaned up after themselves, including washing out the driveway.
I did initially have a small problem with the job - I had asked for some hooks to be installed on the chimney for a trellis. It's not something they normally handle and I guess the instructions confused them. However, when I wasn't happy with the results, they quickly offered to come back and re-do the work to my specs at no extra charge.
It looks great now! I would recommend them and funnily enough so does the shop I bought my gas fireplace from!

was great. He came out and detailed what work needed to be done and how long it would take. He sent a detailed proposal the next evening and gave me a fair timeline for when he could get the work done. He did it at the expected date and finished in the time period he said he would. The job was well done and finished as promised. Great job.
"A+ experience. I called him on Saturday. He was out on Saturday afternoon to look at the project and submit a bid. Followed up on Tuesday to pour new footer and returned the following day to

"I called 4 separate people on Saturday and heard back from

fairly quickly to schedule an appointment on Monday. He arrived to the appointment 30 minutes late, looked at the project and came up with a quote 4x higher than the other masons that provided quotes. His reply when I told him his pricing was out of line was that if he didn't want to take a job, he priced himself out of the game. I appreciated the candor and sent him on his way."

"They scraped the entire 4000 square foot house (two stories) primed and painted it with great attention to detail. Removed all the deteriorating coating on foundation (50'x26') and recoated with proper material. Awesome Job. Great price. **UPDATE** One year later it still looks good. I found a relatively small, out of the way area that had been primed but not painted. I called Joy (Yovanni) and he and his crew came and painted it free without any questions within a few weeks. Great service, honest guy."
"I spent over $1100. It was a fair price. I had a lot of work done in my house. In the process, my front steps were damaged and needed them to be completely redone. Despite having a tough time with the weather, he was always on time and he worked really hard. He stayed all day long to do the job. He was excellent. He had a great personality. He was interacting with my neighbors. The job got done on time. It was much faster than I anticipated. I would use him again in the future. "
"I received 8 quotes for this job ranging from $6500 to $1900, with several in the $2000 range. I went with

because he was the most knowledgeable, personable and happened to be the least expensive. He works by himself and has been doing masonry for over 20 years. He specializes in chimneys. He did the work on time, on budget and it looks terrific. He is insured and registered with the state board, very important for someone working on your roof. I believe he covers most of

is a nice old fellow (whose English is just barely good enough to get by) who we found after much calling around. I think he's about 65 and has been doing masonry all his life--the quality shows! The project was to remove the old and rotting front steps and replace them with brick ones. In addition to demolition, this job also included some heavy-duty concrete

-hammering, waste removal, concrete pouring, and bricklaying. The job was completed on time and the finished steps look great. He paid careful attention to detail. While we did manage to haggle on the initial cost up front, it turned out that a few extra issues arose during construction, so the final cost was pretty much what he estimated (and we tipped him a little extra for the fine work).
