"They scraped the entire 4000 square foot house (two stories) primed and painted it with great attention to detail. Removed all the deteriorating coating on foundation (50'x26') and recoated with proper material. Awesome Job. Great price. **UPDATE** One year later it still looks good. I found a relatively small, out of the way area that had been primed but not painted. I called Joy (Yovanni) and he and his crew came and painted it free without any questions within a few weeks. Great service, honest guy."

"We felt that it was a real fair price. The price was about $15,000 and that is a fantastic price. We were very happy with the work they did. The only problem was that they took a little longer than the anticipated or told me, but I guess they had some problems and it took a week longer than we expected. The workers were very nice and friendly. They cleaned up really well afterward and they had a big dumpster outside."

"My husband and I read about Calyx on Angie's List and asked to come give us an estimate on a remodel of our bathroom. It was not a huge job as we were keeping the basic layout of the room--although we needed to update everything, we did not need to move any walls, plumbing, or electrical. was pleasant and professional from our first meeting. After taking detailed measurements and notes, he met us again and presented a thorough written proposal and contract. Although the estimate was a bit higher than we hoped, we chose to go with Calyx because of the professionalism and detail of his proposal. We had remodeled our kitchen several months earlier and had been disappointed with some of the workmanship of the contractors we worked with then. As they say, you get what you pay for. This experience was totally different. At every stage, was in contact with us, explained what they were doing, when, and how long it would take. He listened and responded to our concerns. We needed the remodel done quickly, since this was our only full bath, and also because I was about 8 months pregnant at the time! gave us a firm timetable for work and kept us updated as the job progressed. Also, the bathroom was located upstairs, directly across from our daughter's bedroom, so minimizing dust and mess was important to us. visited the site every day to check on the work. He was friendly and considerate, as were all the subcontractors who came to the house. did not use any general handymen but specialized subcontractors for each part of the job, even though some were small (for example, the electrician only had to install one light fixture and was only here for about half an hour). We felt confident that they were all doing a high quality job. The bathroom was finished exactly on time. The completed bathroom is wonderful and we can tell that it was completed with care and attention to detail. We were very happy with Calyx and would certainly use them again."

"Everything was great. The gentleman and his wife were fantastic. His wife handled all the administrative details and were both were easy to work with. The best part was that they were very clean. They cleaned up before they left each day. It was a three day job and they very nice people to deal with."

"Generally we do all of our own remodeling, but in this case there were too many complexities involved with a kitchen remodel...and we didn't want to be without a kitchen for 4 months! Overall it went very well and we're thrilled with the work. We picked because we liked his design sense and he seemed to be a good communicator right from the start. His estimate was the highest of all those we got (5 in all), but we figured you get what you pay for. Mostly, we didn't want to get sucked in by a low-ball estimate so playing it this way seemed smart. did a fine job, considering our house is 100 years old! His subcontractors were all professionals, and in particular his assistant, Dmitri Tsimikas, paid very careful attention to the details, his workmanship was excellent, and he gave us loads of good advice. We were totally new to contractor estimates, so the only thing we would do differently next time is ask a whole lot more questions up front! Highly recommended."
