Chimney Cap reviews in Providence

Overall this project went very well compared to other contractors I have worked with. They were prompt with returning phone calls and responsive to questions. New roof looks great and they cleaned up very well after. Entire job was done in less than 8 hours. I would highly recommend for a new roof.

They scraped the entire 4000 square foot house (two stories) primed and painted it with great attention to detail. Removed all the deteriorating coating on foundation (50'x26') and recoated with proper material. Awesome Job. Great price. **UPDATE** One year later it still looks good. I found a relatively small, out of the way area that had been primed but not painted. I called Joy (Yovanni) and he and his crew came and painted it free without any questions within a few weeks. Great service, honest guy.

I received 8 quotes for this job ranging from $6500 to $1900, with several in the $2000 range. I went with

because he was the most knowledgeable, personable and happened to be the least expensive. He works by himself and has been doing masonry for over 20 years. He specializes in chimneys. He did the work on time, on budget and it looks terrific. He is insured and registered with the state board, very important for someone working on your roof. I believe he covers most of

Very pleased, the 3 man crew were courteous, professional and hard workers. They cleaned every piece of debris from removing the old chimney. They left the old bricks in a neat pile, I'll use them to

my garden. I have been passing out their business cards.

I guess he did a good job. It looks nice from down on the ground. I'm not about to climb up there to inspect the job for myself. We haven't had anything fall into our fireplace, so the cover must be on good.

Did a great job. Very punctual and professional and we love the chimney cap and the glass doors he installed on our fireplace. Would use again and would recommend to others. I already referred him to a friend.

I recently purchased a new house and wanted to be sure that my wood burning fireplace was OK before using it. I first called ATec out to sweep the chimney and inspect it. My house inspector wasn't sure if it was properly lined and said that he thought it needed to be repointed from the roof line up.
A tec was friendly on the phone and came out immediately to sweep the chimney and inspect. They gave me a discount for being an Angie's List customer, too. They were punctual and polite. After cleaning out the chimney on the first visit, I received a written estimate for the work that needed to be done and

's terms. I set up an appointment to have the work performed a few weeks later. He also explained that my liner was perfectly fine and looked very good, even though my original inspector wasn't sure what was going on. I was also concerned about some debris at the bottom of the chimney in the basement and he assured me that everything was fine there.
When Atec returned to do the additional work on my chimney, they arrived right on time (actually a few minutes early - bonus!) and got right to work on the job. There were two guys and they were both courteous and polite. They made sure to not get anything dirty or messy inside the house. They first removed the broken damper and then installed the new one, and showed me how to work it. Then they went outside to work on the chimney. They repointed the brick from the roof-line on up, fixed the cracked crown, added a stainless chimney cap, and then applied some sort of sealant to the brick.
At one point, they needed me to turn on the water to an outside faucet. I wasn't sure where the shut off valve was, so they were pretty patient as I called my husband and we poked around in the cellar trying to find what they needed.
I will definitely call A Tec in the future when I need any work done.
