"Generally we do all of our own remodeling, but in this case there were too many complexities involved with a kitchen remodel...and we didn't want to be without a kitchen for 4 months! Overall it went very well and we're thrilled with the work. We picked because we liked his design sense and he seemed to be a good communicator ...more right from the start. His estimate was the highest of all those we got (5 in all), but we figured you get what you pay for. Mostly, we didn't want to get sucked in by a low-ball estimate so playing it this way seemed smart.

did a fine job, considering our house is 100 years old! His subcontractors were all professionals, and in particular his assistant, Dmitri Tsimikas, paid very careful attention to the details, his workmanship was excellent, and he gave us loads of good advice. We were totally new to contractor estimates, so the only thing we would do differently next time is ask a whole lot more questions up front! Highly recommended."
