"I spoke with a number of companies about installing a heat pump and by far, Ed and Sticka of were the most technically adept. They had excellent references and even gave us a tour of several projects in-progress while we were trying to decide on how to proceed. Once we decided to go with them, the scheduling was a bit tricky with lots of working happening on weekends. In once instance, they were using a drilling machine on a Sunday and my neighbors threatened to report us for violating a noise ordinance (it isn't clear whether that was true or not). Overall, the work was done in a high quality manner and much attention was paid to getting the details right. However, it was clear a number of times that and Ed had over-committed their time. They were not returning phone calls or emails for several days and would have to reschedule work from one week to the next. From the date we signed the contract, it was four months until completion."

"Our experience was excellent. We will happily use for all of our future large appliance repair jobs. I called and left a message on Sunday evening (after hours) saying that our washing machine was not draining properly. left me a message back at 8:30a Monday morning. Even though they were booking out for Wed/Thurs, they manage to squeeze us in on Tues. They showed up well within the window they had estimate, diagnosed the problem (pump was blocked by infant's socks), cleared out the pump, tested it and found that it needed replacement. They found a pump in stock and said they'd try to get back the same day to replace it -- which they did. Everything was on-time with excellent service. The repairman was extremely efficient and courteous. They were extremely flexible and a pleasure to work with."

"After receiving rough estimates from 9 or 10 contractors, we requested formal written bids from 3. We chose . As soon as the HVAC work was done (new furnace & ductwork) , , , & set to work. We had told that we wanted to supply many of the fixtures, & his tight schedule kept his crew and us on our toes. pays scrupulous attention to detail and keeps the focus on the whole job & completion. The entire process was approximately 2 months, start to finish, with the few hold-ups due to us. is a remarkable "renaissance" construction guru, who constantly amazed us with his ability to find elegant solutions to building puzzles that 100-yr-old houses present. is aptly named: every step was taken with an eye to quality that will endure. "We got an estimate for part of this work from and ended up liking him enough to ask for more work midway through the original job, for which we agreed on work to be done and a cap of $5000. We provided materials, he provided labor. Work began in March, finished May 26, wanted to list the house by June 1. Good parts: work was unbelievably excellent quality, especially in terms of painting, finish work, and personal supervision by , assuring my satisfaction every step of the way. and a crew worked all day Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to finish. Bad parts: This company is growing and suffering growing pains. I had to call them many mornings to them to come and work, the whole job stretched out an inordinately long time. They lost their "tile guy" causing a long delay in the bathroom remodel, and they seemed to have too many jobs booked at once, obviously juggling several jobs to keep several customers happy, not uncommon with contractors I suppose."

"He came in to do the job and quickly was able to improve the flow in the bathroom pipes. I had reported that the sewer pump had been running non-stop; but it must have burned out, as it was completely dead. He brought out a colleague with more experience and they replaced the sewer pump promptly and then tested the system for me so we were sure that the system didn't need to be flushed as well."

"The job went very well. They had anticipated the job would take one day but it ended up taking 1 1/2 days. They did not seem to be bothered by the extra time it was taking. The work crew was very pleasant, seemed to be very knowledgeable, and were professional in their conduct and in the performance of their work."

"I called to ask if would bid this. They said yes, but it would cost $80 for a bid. I decided OK, knowing that process would involve working with multiple subs and would take time. My rep was from the Home Repair Team (small projects). He was professional and discussed my project over the phone and in person on the job site. During the next 2 weeks, checked in about project details and he continued working on the bid. No problems. At that point, he said to complete the bid I would need to pay a $500 fee since the bid was taking a lot of his time. He said his boss required him to charge this fee, which would go toward the work later if I selected them as GC. My mistake paying the fee, since the bid came back at $24,000, approx. double what other GCs had bid. I said no and asked for a $420 refund. They refunded only $180. I felt like I got taken for $240. Maybe they think people will feel obligated to use them if retainers are paid during the "bid" phase."

"These guys were great! I had a huge leak in the basement.. I was CRUSHED, I had wanted to finish our basement into a game/TV room. I called for an estimate, and was originally concerned because their website said Hermiston, OR.. They informed me that they had an office and came out in TWO days!!! They promised to be at my house at a designated time because I work the night shift. They were prompt, polite and actually pleasant to deal with. I found their estimates to be right on target with others I have contacted (one company didn't bother to show or call!!). Within a day they had me scheduled. They happily worked around my schedule. The guys that showed up were professional and FAST... within three days my basement was done, and they were so clean I couldn't even tell they had been there!! I can't begin to say how much I would refer this company, for anyone with a beautiful old house... these guys are the ones!!!!"

"Price seemed to match going rate and work was done within a week of my calling to get quote. I wasn't home when they did the work, but the person who was onsite called me with lab results. He also left me a soil sample (which I have stored in freezer for possible future tests). I discovered that they didn't fill the small vent pipe hole and they came back a few days later and did that. My only frustration was getting the ''report'' on work done in timely manner, hence the grade of 'C' on punctuality. I called a month after work was done and was told they have 60 days. After 60 days I called again and they scrambled around and sent off a few sheets to me (Certificate of Completion, paid Invoice, DEQ database info entered on my tank, analytical report from lab, chain of custody form for samples)."
