"My wife and I are quite thorough when getting quotes and doing our research.  In fact, we go into these things with a healthy sense of skepticism. When it comes to EIFS, siding etc in rainy

, quality workmanship and materials is crucial. This company actually exceeded our expectations from start to finish.   This started with

(the owner) who came out to quote the job.  He explained things thoroughly, didn't waste our time, and had a very thorough/professional bid package.  He definitely gave us a feeling of comfort that they would do a high quality job.   But let's face it, the key is performing as well as the pitch. One other requirement that we had is to get the job started and completed fast so that we could put the house up for sale.

said he could make it happen.  Once we gave the go-ahead, they did everything they promised.  We work from home so saw the whole process and I have to say that we are impressed.

was on site every day.  He was a good communicator, gave us sound advice on various decisions to be made, and it was very clear that he took pride his team's work.   The place looks fantastic! As I mentioned, they exceeded our expectations.  Everything from quality, to communication, to timing and follow-thru were top-notch. We are fans of this company and are more than happy to recommend them. Sincerely

"
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
was probably the best company we have ever worked with, thanks to the other writeups on Angie's List.  They kept to the schedule, helped us determine if the EIFS had done any damage after 16 years on the housefront, and replaced a piece of framing that was penetrated by heavy rainfall water.  Their efforts were simply outstanding on all tasks."

"I will not be hiring or recommending this company for any services in the future.  I can't believe they trespassed onto my property and literally jumped my fence.  I'm disappointed in them and frustrated by this terrible experience."

"I had water leaking inside the house coming from outside.  My house is over 50 years old in which I have owned for just the last three.  There was evidence that this leak has been happening for years.  There were multiple entry points in the front of my house for where it could be coming from.  I decided it was best to replace just that section of  the siding than to try to repair it.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
and team provided me with an estimate of which I got four bids from separate companies.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
's was the second most affordable and he was able to fit me into his schedule sooner than the others.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very detailed in describing his estimate along with his recommendations.  He and I shared ideas and materials and came up with a final approach.  There were some aspects of the front sididng that he's leave or cover and most we agreed he'd totally replace. The front section of my house is very tall with a southern exposure that takes a beating from the wind and rain.  They arrived as scheduled to install the scaffolding which remained in place until the job was done, painted and I had a

to inspect.  They tore out all the siding as discussed.  Insulated where necessary and placed waterproof barriers.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
was great in explaining to me along the way the different tasks and layers of waterproofing they were adding.  I felt confident that the leak would be gone for good.  They then replaced the siding and sealed up. I also had them paint the section of siding they replaced before the rainy season started again.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
offered me a discount to paint since the scaffolding was already in place.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
provided me with swatches to choose from.  I was also considering having our family room repainted now that the leak was fixed.  He offered to pick up some paint samples and even painted a few areas in the family room so we could decide on what colors we wanted even though I was going to have that done by someone else.  On the outsite of the house they painted a couple different colors of the siding and trim to help us decide.  After the weather was dry for a few days, they painted.  They did a great job. I was very happy with
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
's professionalism and quality of work.  I would definetely use them again (and probably will have to given the condition of some of the other siding on the house ;-).

"If you are not interested in reading all of the following details of our remodel, we want to emphasize how happy we are with our completed project and we would highly recommend
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
to do any remodel job or home improvement project. After receiving the architectural drawings we got a firm, detailed bid from
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
. After revisions and accepting the bid, we signed a written contract with
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
that followed the architectural drawings and had everything we wanted in our remodel and explained in detail with a dollar amount what was included: plumbing, HVAC, windows, interior doors, sliding doors, foundation, drywall, electrical, roofing, insulation, demolition, interior finish carpentry, tile work, siding, oak flooring. and the specifics of cleanup. We covered the choice and cost of special lighting, plumbing fixtures including shower doors, cabinetry in the kitchen and bathrooms (including counter tops), bathroom towel fixtures, bathroom tile, exterior doors and hardware).
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
had subcontractors for electrical work, HVAC, flooring, carpentry, and electrical. We had prior experience with a house painter who we wanted to use and it was not included in
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
's bid. Once work began, we found that we preferred to use a tile installer that we had previous experience with and the allowance for the tile installation was subtracted from our contract and we paid the tile installer directly.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
was agreeable to all of these changes.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
gave us a timely and reasonable bid for these other work orders for some other small changes that we wanted. As far as the extent of the work involved in the remodel:
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
removed walls dividing the living room and dining room, moved the kitchen to the dining room location and the dining room to the kitchen location, vaulted the ceiling in the living room and added three skylights, added a deck and roof off the kitchen, relocated two bathrooms, added 12 feet to the end of the house thus enlarging the master bedroom and the third bedroom turning it into a studio with vaulted ceiling and two skylights and added an exterior deck to the studio. In addition, we had a walk-in closet added to the master bedroom.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
acted as
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
's foreman and helped coordinate the work. Either
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
or
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
were at the job site every day from the end of November until the job was completed by our move in date of 3/17. Also, the contract included adding storage space, drop down ladder and sheet rock in the garage. That work couldn't be done while we stored household belongings in the garage so it was done in the next week as we emptied out the garage to make room for the drywallers to hang the sheetrock. There was no part of this project where
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
disappointed us and didn't perform over and above. We would highly recommend him. If he doesn't perform the work himself, his subcontractors and foreman,
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
, do the work meeting all expectations.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
is easy to work with and made this remodel as easy on us as possible. No remodel goes exactly as expected except this one. The changes we made during the process caused no problems for
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
and we stayed within budget. Although there were some additional costs (such as adding a pantry in the garage), they were choices we made during the process of seeing our vision come together. I am only sorry there are no opportunities to post photos of the before and after. Everyone would be amazed.

"The whole process was great.
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
came to an Association meeting prior to starting the project to explain to all owners what was going to be done and answer any questions. Throughout the whole process all workers onsite were courteous to all home owners and worked with everyones schedule to get access to our balconies. Communication was great through the whole project. Whenever we had a question
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
was available by phone and either him or one of his workers would check in daily about progress and what time we would expect them the next day. From the initial bid to the project completion every this was easy with
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his crew at
Portland Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
. We will definitely be calling them for all future projects around our condo building.
