Pretty smooth job. There was one extra day needed for install, as the worker was called away for a family emergency. Someone else came later in the day and picked up the ladder and equipment. Then the original installer returned and finished the next day. He explained his pipe routing in the crawl space and showed me how to check the system. At completion he found a small air leak at the base of the pipe and he closed the gap with extra concrete. Electrician was prompt and informative and identified a separate plumbing issue needing attention. I was satisfied that they were thorough and professional.

Excellent service provider. Always showed up on time, responsive to phone calls, worked with us to keep the system out of the finished area in the basement. After initial install the radon levels were still too high, the installer made a return trip to clear away some soil which brought our radon levels to around about 1.1. Fan is nice and quiet without needing sound-proofing.

It went very well from the initial contact with the company, the rep that gave us an estimate, and the workers that installed the system, as well as the billing process. They called before they came at 9am and were punctual. The work was done by mid-afternoon and the installer left the place clean and in order. He also left a radon test to measure the radon levels and came back a couple days later for the reading and it was well below the level we needed it to be. The process went smoothly and everyone of their team were friendly, courteous, and professional.

They put it in where I asked and in a very professional way. The installer did a fantastic job. The only issue I had was they cut the screen for the crawl space under my house for the temporary system. Once the job was done I had to ask them to fix it. Once they did come to fix it they just put a screen over the old one with silicon and added a few screws to tie them together. I was not super happy with that. But the actual system they installed is great and works very well. I verified it with a 3rd party test. My wife said the gentleman who did the instal was very polite and great with my kids.

I obtained three bids for Radon mitigation. While all three arrived on time and were quite knowledgable,

provided the best solution for my needs with the most aesthetically pleasing design. Two of the companies guaranteed results (

was one). The best design plan and the lowest cost made the decision easy. The installers arrived on time and performed their work in a professional manner. I am very pleased with the results.

We had a 2-day radon test when we first bought our home in Feb 2013. It came back at 4.2, so we decided to retest later on to see if occupying the house (going in and out) made a difference. We called Cascade to retest in October and it came back at 5.9, so we figured we'd better mitigate. Since we were have some electrical work done in our basement, we asked Cascade if our electrician could do the electrical portion of the work, thus saving us some money. They were very accommodating and that worked out fine. Their work was very professional and of excellent quality. When they retested, the level had gone down to 2.0. Cost of the initial test was $160. Cost for the install was initially $1650 but reduced to $1415 because we handled the electrical separately plus we had a $100 Angie's List coupon. Everyone was pleasant and professional from office staff to testers to installers.

First, there was the estimate. I was given a lot of information that has appeared to be accurate as I got other estimates. Then the system was installed, which took about 6 hours. They worked both in the basement and on the side of the house. The system is a little noisier that I'd hoped, but I don't believe I could've gotten anything quieter. They came and picked up their monitoring equipment about 4 business days later. It was all handled very professionally.

We measured our radon levels last year & found them to be at 25 (need to be below 5). As we are in the process of finishing our basement got an estimate from Cascade based on Angies List reviews. Was very impressed with the whole process, from the plan and location of our system by

and to all the guys that did the install. The whole process was explained in detail so even I could understand. The pipe was nicely located between the studs in our newly framed wall & once covered with drywall we won't even see it & the pipe on the outside is not very noticeable. Our radon reading after system was installed was 0.7, well below the recommended levels (they leave an electronic radon reading device for a few days to measure levels). As we are remodeling contractors we will definitely recommend Cascade to our customers & anyone needing mitigation.

Quote was much lower than other companies.

was the one who suggested they could run the pipe through my attic, putting the fan in the attic as opposed to outside. They said there would be no additional charge for that. When I brought this up to other companies I was told it would cost more (in addition to their initial cost being even higher than Cascade). Install went very smoothly and I appreciated their attention to detail in terms of making it as less intrusive as possible. I do find that the fan is

than what I thought it would be. I have plenty of insulation in the attic and I can still hear the fan when I'm in the room right below it. It's not horribly loud though and it's not something I really notice too often. I also thought it was strange that the kit they gave me to test the radon level a few weeks after they had gone had the results mailed to Cascade as opposed to myself. The salesperson made a big deal about how they give me a test to double check for myself that the install worked, but clearly it's not an independent test if the results are sent to Cascade instead of myself (Cascade forwarded the results to me). My favorite thing about them though, and why I'm writing this review, is their attention to trying to make sure the system was not intrusive. I've since had other things installed by other companies, things like a furnace, water heater, and I'm amazed at how focused other companies were on making the work as easy for themselves as possible, thereby sacrificing aesthetics. Cascade was not like that at all! While it's not like the radon mitigation system is attractive, Cascade tried to hide the pipe as much as possible, and run it through areas that wouldn't be in our way. It's taken me over a year to realize how rare that is in a company to take the time to do that!
