"Bill (the owner) was on-time, friendly, professional, and a pleasure to have working in the house. He really knew his stuff too. I've had 4 different fuel company" technicians in here over the past 2 years trying to fix this problem with various diagnoses and attempts at repair but no success. But Bill knew exactly what was wrong and repaired it instantly as he had parts on his truck. He even returned the incorrect thermocuple to me that a fuel company had placed last year.

"I wish I would have found the company sooner. I can't speak highly enough of what they did on this one day. My propane tank is underground. On February 26," I came home from work and smelled gas. When I investigated, my propane dome was a complete block of ice and you could see bubbles forming underneath the tank. I called my normal fuel supplier and they came out and helped to temporarily stop the leak. The problem was that as more precipatation came and more melting came, temperatures went up and down, my husband and I were battling keeping the level of water below the regulator and to keep it from freezing again overnight. This caused many sleepless nights - as we were working this issue until I spoke with
, Jr yesterday. While my fuel service provider was trying to be helpful, there hadn't come up with a temporary solution to assist and my yard was flooding by the minute. When they finally came up with a solution they were not able to get to my house until 3/11. Unfortunately, 3/10 was a day filled with heavy rain. At one time, we were outside pumping out the tank about every 5 minutes to keep the regulator from becoming submerged. Mr.
called and offered to come out and help raise the regulator (a temporary fix) to help us not worry as much about it becoming flooded. Well I beleive God was working in this - there was no way we were going to be able to keep up with the days rain. He stopped on his way home from work - had to go to the local hardware to get additional parts and came up with a nice temporary fix that enabled us to relax just a bit. He also sent a quote to help to fix the problem for the future which we will definately being looking into once the ground dries a bit. He is going to install a drainage system (less costly than a tank raise). That work for my particular tank may range up to or around $1000 based on the estimate. I will write in again once that work is completed. I was very happy with what they did and with the prices they quoted to help alleviate the situation. They are a small, family run business who really takes customer service to a whole new level. I would definately recommend them to my neighbors.

Propane Sales and Service

Propane is three-carbon alkane formed as a byproduct of natural gas processing and petroleum refining. Initially produced as a gas, it can be compressed to a lightweight, stable liquid for transport and storage.

Providers who deliver propane, such as Boye's Gas Service in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are in great demand across the U.S., thanks to wicked winter weather. (Photo submitted by member Sue P.)

We have been with them since we moved to this home. They are a little more expensive. Once a man came and filled our tank, the propane came out and went into the garage. It was smelly and there was not much that they could have done for it. I was concerned with how much I paid and how much was lost. They are easy to deal with.

Their pricing is average. We have been with them at least 15 years. We stay with them because they own the tanks. If you want to switch companies it's a big deal and costly with penalty fees. My major problem is that you have to call 2-3 times just to get them out to deliver. Even if it works the first time, it's at least a week or two weeks before they come out. So the customer really has to be on top of things in order to not run out. The people in the office aren't so great, but the drivers are actually okay.

Suburban has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. They have been unresponsive in solving a dilemma with my propane tank. Every time they have delivered propane to our home the bill is around $400-$500 . Within a few months and NO USE of THE EQUIPMENT the gas tank is empty and they come back and fill it again. We have had 4 technicians out to check the tank and equipment. They insist there is no leak. We have the breaker shut off to the heater so there is no way it is getting used. No the neighbor kids aren't using it either. The manager will not return our calls or respond to the issue. If it's not a leak, the only conclusion is they aren't putting gas in to begin with. We are being forced to have them dig up the tank to avoid the next $500 gas bill for something we don't get use of. It appears there are no good propane companies here in Tampa according to reviews. This has been going on 2.5 years with no resolution or call from the manager. That is unacceptable. don't USE SUBURBAN if you expect good service if there is an issue.

I bought a home and needed a propane provider in

Portland Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
has completely lost attention to customer service. They bought out our old propane provider (Heritage) a couple of years ago and the experience we've had has gone straight downhill while the pricing has skyrocketed. We constantly have to call when our tank is low and they never come as promised (takes several calls). The office staff is rude and dismissive of any issues we bring up to them. The cost has inexplicably gone up more than 50% since last year despite

pricing going down. The old vendor installed our tank when we moved into our house 14 years ago and we are stuck dealing with

until we buy the tank and move to another provider. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST OTHERS CONSIDER DOING THE SAME....

This company is absolutely disgusting and participate in illegal trespassing on people's property as well as not punishing pervert workers who stare at women while they're in the bath.
A few days ago, on my rural property (that has 6 foot fences and has all locked gates) a

Worker trespassed onto my property, demanding I pay them money that I supposedly owe them. I was in the bathtub at the time, and I look up, and there's this man just standing there, staring at me. When I leapt out of the tub and covered myself, he demanded I give him 100 dollars that I supposedly owe this propane company (I haven't used propane in over a year). Even though I was clearly distressed and repeatedly demanded he get off my private property, he kept protesting, saying that he was going to shut off my propane if I didn't pay. Since I don't use the propane, this threat didn't really

me and finally after the fifth or sixth time of me yelling for him to get off my property, he finally left. I have no idea how he got onto my property, as like I said, I have locked gates and tall fences as well as "No Trespassing" signs everywhere.
When I called the
Portland Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
manager to complain about this incredibly violating and illegal behavior, his response was "Well, you've let him on your property before."
Seriously. A woman calls to tell the manager that one of his workers illegally trespassed onto her property and stared at her while she was naked and vulnerable (which is illegal, too!) and his response is "You've let him on your property before."
Yeah, I've let him onto my property before when I've ordered propane. That is not an open invitation for any worker from this company to come onto my property whenever they want. Especially to "bill collect"
The manager then demanded that I let the worker back onto my property to remove my propane tank. I told him that if anyone trespassed onto my property from his company, I would be calling the police and letting my dogs loose. His solution for this was to have another worker call me a few hours later, like everything was normal, and demand that I let them remove my tank. Naturally, I do not feel comfortable letting ANYONE from this company on my property ever again.
I am now filing a police report, a report with the chamber of commerce and a report with the BBB as well as consulting a lawyer. Please, if you have any other propane choices, go with someone else. Especially if you are a woman. This kind of treatment from this company is unacceptable, illegal and incredibly violating.
