"This sounds like an easy job, but it wasn't. We knew it would be difficult before they came and told the person in the office what the problems were. Given the difficulty of the" job, we thought the price was fair. The clearance up the stairway is about 2 inches greater than the smallest dimension of the piano. A grand piano is extremely heavy, but because of the small clearance, the movers could not use their dolly and had to carry the piano up the stairs by hand. The movers were clearly strong enough to do this without complaint. Then the piano had to be moved around several corners to get it in the correct position. Of course, the legs and cover had to be removed prior to moving the piano. These things had be put on after getting the piano to its new place. They did everything expertly. The movers clearly had a lot of experience moving pianos. At no time were we concerned that the piano or anything else in the house would be damaged. In addition, the crew was extremely friendly. I recommend this company with no reservations.

"Overall, it went well. They returned my intiial call quickly and were patient as we worked out a date that both ends of the move could do. There was a little back and forth on some" details but, again, I think they geniunely wanted all to go well. They arrived right on time and delivered it on the early side of the delivery time window (which is always nice!)

"I called several places and they were the most reasonably priced. They were on time, friendly and very, very strong. They literally picked up the piano and carried it to where it" needed to go to avoid damaging the new floor. I would most certainly call them again for moving needs.

Piano Moving reviews in Portland

It went very well and we like them. We had used them before and appreciated their services very much. They are prompt and polite. They are affordable. They did extra things for us but did not charge for it. We really like working with them.

Called on Thursday to get a price quote. Was told that Saturday would work for them. Confirmed with folks at both houses for availability and called back on Friday to confirm. The two movers arrived at the late end of the planned pick-up time, but said that the previous move had been very difficult. Loading and delivery of piano went very well.

There was an issue because we kept having to change our dates and we had to contact another mover. The new mover said that they were going to be able to do it and we set the date with them. We found out the night before that the new mover we were going to use had messed the date up and when we contacted them they said they could not do it because they were booked up. In a panic we called

and not only did they honor the original price but they were able to load and unload all of the furniture from Portland to Seattle in one day. They took great care of our items including a piano and I'm going to give them all A's.

We had the complete furnishings of our 4 bedroom home including our piano moved on

26. We told them the square footage, various items needing to be moved and the number of rooms. They showed up with a much smaller truck than we had been told or anticipated. The movers were a bit worried about this as well. They were resolved to move us as best they could with the size of truck they had. They worked as quickly as they could. It was obvious from the start that the small size of the truck was presenting a challenge. The loading of the truck took much longer than they had anticipated. They moved the piano we had from the downstairs to the truck without incident. One of the workers for our move told us it was his first move. He was constantly talking and moving items with more than a little disregard to the walls and items themselves. It was like watching a circus act. After getting the truck loaded we headed to our new home for the move in. They had stated that they used more wrap than they had anticipated and would have to charge us for the overage. We said we would pay for what we used no problem. The move in was more of mad scramble than a smooth transition to new space. It was obvious that they were feeling the heat of being behind and they moved like it. They got to the point of moving the piano. The piano had to be moved to an upstairs location similar to what they had just done on the move out. They struggled getting it up the stairs with the three of them rubbing sweat and staining the walls all the way up on both sides of the stairs. They also had the piano shift a few times and it went into the wall where it gouged holes and scraped paint.

supposedly specializes in piano moving, yet it appeared as though they had never done it before. The combination of time, heat and haste made the piano moving up the stairs more difficult than need be. During the course of the move, in addition to the wall damage, a number of our things were damaged and our son's bed was broken. We were told at the end of the move that we should contact

at Thunder Moving regarding the damage. We called
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
and did not receive a return call. When we called again and reached her, we explained the damages as well telling her that we noticed that the wrapping we were charged $75 for was left in our garage and that we would like to be refunded for that. She agreed to the refund and told me she would send someone over to pick it up the wrap. She also said that we should get an estimate on the damages and send them to her. She would either have someone come over and do the repairs or would pay for them outright. We let her know that the home was a rental and that the rental company requested that the repairs be done by their people. She agreed and said to send in the bill and it would be paid. We sent in the repair bill for $225. We had not received the payment for the repair or shrink wrap as of the week of September 22. We called to find out the status of the payment. We talked to a woman named
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
who apologized for the delay and told us that the claims person would be there later in the day to cut the check and send it to us. We have not received the payment for the repair or wrap as of this date. There have been many calls to
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
without any call back to us. The only time we have talked to anyone has been when we were fortunate enough to call and have them pick up the phone. At best, a 50/50 shot. We went with them due to all the great Angie's List reviews and recommendations. We have been patient and at no time did we mention we would go to Angie's list to get this resolved. We believe in giving people the
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
to to do the right thing. They unfortunately have chosen not to do that. No way would we ever recommend them. To not call us back, and to choose to tell us the check is on the way when it isn't, is a poor choice. Our experience with
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
has been so far removed from all of the Angie's List reports that it really has caused us to reevaluate our opinion of Angie's List. There is no way that all of the reviews of
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
can possibly be legitimate. Our experience from start to finish has been horrendous.
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
is a discount moving company parading as something more. They are extremely unprofessional and we have been very disappointed.

were great. They called to tell me they would be a little early, then called again after they realized they had to gas up the truck & were there right on time. They were personable and friendly, but not chatty at all, listened carefully to what I needed, what was going and what was staying, and set right to work, asking clarifying questions when needed. They worked hard & efficiently, and were especially careful with my old piano. When faced with a more complicated bed takedown than they'd (or I'd) originally thought, they advised me that they'd be happy to do it, but it might not be worth paying them for the hour it would take them to take it down & put it back together. When at the new house they were quick and set up the one bed we did end up bringing over. The piano was missing a wheel that it sits on, and we looked for it, but it was cracked, so they set it up on a piece of wood so it wouldn't slip off the wheel & damage the floor. I appreciated the care they took to make sure my pets were safe & put away, the quick tempo at which they worked, their care with my stuff, and perhaps especially the fact that they didn't seem to show any shock or disdain for the messy piles of stuff they had to work around.

We bought a piano from a residence in Vancouver. I called
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
and they were responsive and thorough with their information. They gave me a cost estimate on the phone, and it was not the lowest or highest I received. Piano moving is expensive and their prices are right in the ball park, for a respectable piano mover. The movers arrived on time. My house in SW has a lot of stairs and very steep driveway. They covered the stairs to avoid scuffs, and moved the piano without any damage to anything. They were professional! I am not sure on the price, this was last Fall but seemed like it was $225, $250. I would definitely hire them again for this task. Quality, professional, and on time.

I'm picky about piano moves, having lost one to a well-known Portland piano company several years ago. These folks knew how to take the piano down, pad and shrink wrap the instrument, pad the walls at all the turning points and put the piano up at destination. I'm impressed and will definitely use
Portland Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
again. This move was more than normal: Because of the date of the move I did pay the weekend rate, which was a 3-hour minimum, and I did request an extra mover because the stairs were steep and treacherous.
