"I was able to get an appointment quite quickly by phone. Staff advised me what would be done for my puppy's first grooming appointment. I was contacted by phone when he was ready to pick up. My white labradoodle puppy looked wonderful. I was very pleased with the outcome. I felt the cost was reasonable. The groomer provided me with a list of what was done, any problem areas and a report of his behavior and reaction to the grooming."

"No appointment needed for nail trim. Walked right in, done in a few minutes. I used them last summer for full service bath/cut/etc. Very good work just a little too expensive for me to use regularly."

Portland Pet Groomers Reviews

"First walking in the place stunk like animal feces. The area where the dogs are looks like a prison, no outdoor facilities in the Milwaukie location. The employees were okay, but it took awhile for them to figure out where my dog was. I asked for a puppy cut and he came out with a long, straight haired look (show dog type) that I ended up having to go to another groomer to fix. This place has a bad reputation, there is long-standing bickering with the owner and staff. A lot of fake reports have been made and it's simply childish. I, however, am only a former customer telling the truth. I was asked to come back to fix the problem, but I just didn't trust the place. I'm glad I was able to find a new groomer because this was not a place I would ever wish do business with again."

"Called to schedule dog grooming, but initially told it couldn't be done until Thursday. I said, thanks, but I'm busy then, let me look into this some more. Got a call back 10 mins from

, the owner, later that Wed at 9AM would be OK. I mentioned I had an electrician coming to the house at 1:30, would that be enough time to cut the dog's hair, and I was told no problem. So I took my dog in Wed AM. We left it she would call me when she was done. So at 1:05PM that afternoon I get this bizarre call from

to go pick up my dog, because even though the job is not finished to her satisfaction she has to leave for a doctor's appointment. I reminded her of how we had discussed my other appointment, and how difficult it would be to go across town and back with a dog in 25 mins before the electrician showed up, and she was fully aware of it, in fact, that seemed to be the reason why she was calling me before she was done. At this point I didn't feel comfortable leaving my dog in that situation anymore, so I ran over there and back, and pulled into my driveway just behind the electrician.

wasn't even apologetic about the whole situation. She mumbled some non-sense about the dog being "too big for her too handle" (he's a 45lb 7 mo old Goldendoodle, not a Great

), and how she really needed "the whole day" to work on him. Other groomers I've worked with have been more efficient than that, but regardless the time to bring up these concerns is when you drop the dog for service, not when you are handing the dog back late and unfinished. Even unfinished as it is, I don't think the haircut is that bad, perhaps only a little funny around the ears. But the whole experience was so unpleasant and unprofessional! I just don't understand why she called me back to schedule the job if she knew she couldn't do it. And why on earth would you ever tell someone over the phone to pick up the dog before the job is done? Here I was speeding across town fuming about how I was going to have to hire someone else to do the rear half, when in the end the haircut wasn't really that bad. It's just a very poor way of handling the situation over the phone. All in all, I'm never going back, and I don't recommend it to anyone else.

"I have never been more pleased with a groomer or the work done. I hardly recognized my dog when I went to pick him up; he looked so good. He looked young again (he's only 2, but looked about 14 when I took him in!) He's very skittery around new folks, so

took her time getting to know him. He was comfortable with her; the most telling reason I know that is because she was able to clip his toenails without any trouble, and he hates it when I even touch his feet! I highly recommend

. Be sure to make appointments early; she only works in the Aloha office 2 days a week....WELL worth the wait.

"The first time I took them in all went well. The second time I called to check on the day and time and was given the wrong information. When I took them in, a day late, I was rudely told that I was called and reminded of the appointment and they couldn't help me. I insisted that I wasn't called and when she checked the appointment book there was no phone number listed, as I had not been asked for that information. She did not apologize. I scheduled the appointment for the following Saturday. My husband took then in and said they were rude, the place was chaotic and one of the groomers was shouting at a dog. He did leave the dogs for the grooming. They looked fine and the grooming was complete. I am going to look for another place."

"I was the first customers of the day. The groomer listened attentively to my descriptions of how I wanted them to be cut. This was their first time at this groomer. I have an older and deaf dog and they took very good care of her. My younger dog was cut very evenly, which is hard because she is wiggley. They had them ready on time. When I saw them everything was great."

"I called first to see if there is a need for an appointment (there isn't), then brought my dog in to the bath section of the storefront. I was greeted at the door by a helpful woman who showed me around, got me some shampoo, and steered me to a tub that would have a good amount of water pressure for my dog. The facility was clean, comfortable, and open and provided the basics for a good bath, including wipes for his eyes and ears and dryers. My dog is generally pretty easy to bathe at home, but this was easier by far on my back and I loved not having to clean up afterward! The bath seemed to take no time at all and my dog was given a free bagel treat for being a new customer. We'll be back!"

"Overall it was very good. When I first went in they answered my questions helpfully and made an appointment for me. They were ready for him when I dropped him off and called me when he was done, right on schedule. The only problem I had was that they left his leash on him when he was crated and he chewed it to bits. Not entirely their fault but I felt they might have offered to replace it, given that they have a full line of pet supplies right there. But I would still take him back because they were nice, they did a good job, and they're convenient to my house. It's hard to find the perfect groomer and they did just fine."
