"Called regarding a honey bee infestation.
answered the phone and genuinely wanted to help me! WHAT a positive experience.
Unfortunately, they don't do honeybees. Funnily enough she mis-heard 'ants' when I called and began describing how they would bait the perimiter, eliminate the colony... and I said, "Your name is Eco, I called because I didn't want the honeybees killed if possible" she was mortified as she was talking about ants. She agreed we need to protect our dwindling honeybee populations! We had a laugh.
Then she gave me three names and numbers of apiary (? - bee people-?) to call.
Thank you . 100% confident will use this company in the future if necessary."

"I lucked out -- they had a cancellation and came over within 2 hours of my call. was polite, helpful, full of good information about ants and getting rid of them. He sprayed the foundation, gave me ant traps to use in the house and some extra bait, explained the best way to use it all. Also explained that in cooler weather it could take several weeks for the ants to subside. Clear, pleasant, helpful, good guy all the way around. I like the 6 month warranty, so if the ants come back, will come back for free."

Portland Exterminators Reviews

"This is the second time I've used , the previous time being in January of 2010 when I rated the service "A". At that time, did significant work by setting traps and digging up a rat tunnel and it seemed to eliminate both a rat and mouse problem. Unfortunately, it didn't take care of the mice and does not check back to see if the problem is eliminated nor is there any other kind of follow-up service. This time I called because the mice were back. It seemed they were coming from the crawl space and one had made its way up to the attic. , as happened the previous time, would not go into the crawl space to check for where the mice might be coming in. This time he left me with traps and advice, saying the $169 was his fee to come out and inspect the problem. I did what he recommended, which included setting out more traps, replacing the weather strip on the garage door, and doing some cement patching around the sides of the garage door. In spite of my work, based on his advice, there have been two mice since then in the house. Again, there was no follow-up from .
I've since called a difference pest control service that referred me to a contractor who does specific rodent proofing of houses, which includes getting into the crawl space and making necessary repairs where holes or places for mouse entry are found.
I think of knows his business, but for my situation I need a service willing to get into the crawl space to do a complete inspection."

"Interstate Pests were great. Very polite on the phone ( which is nice, this is not always the case....)- and right on time for the appointment. The gentleman was very knowledgeable, and after listening to my concerns and observations- went to work. He found the rodents point of entry into the crawl space and made a couple suggestions on how to repair the situation. He addressed a couple other potential access points by sealing openings himself.
He reported there was evidence of "visitors", but that the crawl space was in good condition, and nothing was living there. He set traps, treated for insects/pests- and said he would follow up in 2 weeks to check the traps.
We will see how it goes, but I was very pleased with the inspection and efforts he made today. I will update the review to confirm that his efforts resolved our concerns.
So far, and excellent experience!"

"When they came out to the house they saw that there is a small stream that runs through the property. Since we have been getting a great deal of rain this winter and early spring they said they could not treat the soil around the house because there was risk of the chemicals getting into the stream. We would need to wait for drier weather (if that ever comes). They treated the kitchen counter along the area where ants probably were coming in and also treated along pipes under the floor (this area is easily accessed). The ant problem in the kitchen appears to have been taken care of."

"I spoke with on the phone and told him about the ants I had in the house and around the foundation outside the house. He said by their actions they might be carpenter ants and said it would cost $395 to $495 to exterminate them. We set a time for him to come to get rid of the pests
called on the way to the house to let me know he would be 15 minutes later than our scheduled meeting time, very considerate.
and his helper combed every inch of the basement and crawl space. He inspected the outside of the house. I gave him a frozen specimen of the ant I caught. He told me although I had a huge nest of ants, they were not carpenter ants and therefore the cost was $295. He educated me on the mud tube of a termite on the concrete wall of the crawl space, and before I could have a melt down told me that it was because of the scrap wood they used to through into the crawl spaces in the 1920's. He told me there were no other indications of termites and just to keep an eye out for that signature mud tube on wood. He also said he would come inspect it yearly for me.
The set out the non-toxic to human and pets bait for the ants, left extra for me and said that the activity would slow down and cease in about 2 weeks.
He was right, he was honest and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I feel comfortable knowing who to call if I have any buggy issues in the future."

"It was a really busy time of the year and he came in and sprayed and was gone. It was taken care of the first time he came. The guy had undersold fairly often which we liked. The price was very good. "

"As soon as the weather turned cold, we noticed rat droppings in several locations in the 95-year-old house we bought this summer - two places in the kitchen but also the master bedroom! We had a less than positive experience in the past with other pest control folks who only put out poison bait, so when I called and Nature's First explained that their philosophy is to seal openings first, poison only as a last resort, I knew that I had found the right folks.
The guy who came was very thorough and went around the whole outside and inside perimeter of the house. He ended up finding some holes in a tiny crawlspace that allowed the rats to enter our walls. I am very detail oriented but would never have found these holes. It is very difficult to move around in the crawlspace, but he spent 30 minutes in there putting in copper wool and steel mesh.
They cost about $100 more than other providers in the area, but we haven't had any repeat visitors and it was well worth it - we have been hearing from many of our neighbors that they have continued to have problems with rats this winter."

" was very helpful and informative! He was able to locate all problem areas and resolve the problem quickly, without any risk to the children in the house. He came back two weeks later to make sure the mice were gone. He arrived on time and was very pleasant to work with. We have already referred him to a family member, and his company is in our address book as our official pest control company from here on out. I am so happy that we chose a local business instead of calling the large commercial company!"

" was very responsive and came over three times and didn't charge us at all. This approach by a service company convinced me that he is honest and will do an honest, thorough job."
