He has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. He does not take advantage of the system. He is very sensible and somewhat conservative (in a very good way) in comparison to other experiences with other doctors I have had that will do or say anything. There are no frills. He is very good at what he does.

I have seen several physical therapists at several locations, and
and his clinic compare favorably to any of them.
applied a variety of modalities to my problem. His approach was friendly, professional, and logical, and the clinic is clean and very well equipped. Unfortunately, because of the nature of my back problem, it did not respond to physical therapy (either here or previously, at another clinic). However, I was sufficiently impressed by
's abilities that I can recommend him highly. I will certainly call on him the next time I need PT, whether for a back or neck problem or a sports injury, such as tennis elbow.

I thought he was going to give me a shot of cortisol, however, he told me he couldn't give me the shot since I was overweight. He told me he didn't know where to put the needle to give the shot because of my weight. I ended up using a walker for 5 months because of that. He was not helpful. I had to walk a long way to get into the office.

He is very knowledgeable and took a lot of care with my daughter. Some other doctor recommended shots for her knee. But he just recommended some exercises that would help her out. The staff was great.

I'm sorry to say this was one of the most unpleasant medical experiences I've ever had. Dr.
Portland Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
walked into the room without introducing herself. She was rude, directive and full of ego. She clearly hadn't read the case history and did not ask specific questions. When she didn't get the answers to the questions she needed she was profoundly condescending. This interaction was very upsetting to my son, to the point where he didn't want to speak by the end of the exam.

I was scheduled to have knee surgery in California until my husband was recruited to work in
Portland Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. I brought my MRI report to Dr.
Portland Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's office and explained that I had to have cartilage repair surgery. I only saw his physician's assistant (PA) who said per his reading my MRI only showed a meniscal injury (a much more minor problem and an easier surgery). I was relieved to hear this, and the surgery was scheduled. I still only saw the PA when I returned for my pre-op exam. Not until the day of surgery did I see Dr.
Portland Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. During the surgery he found that I actually did have cartilage damage in my knee (his PA was wrong in overriding my California doctor 's diagnosis). Dr.
Portland Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
was then going to do a procedure that I specifically told his PA that I did not want during my prior evaluation, but I was under anesthesia so I could not stop this. Thankfully my husband was present in the waiting room and stopped Dr.

from doing that procedure before it was too late! After I awoke from anesthesia I learned of this mishap. I then had to recover from surgery in order to go back to my California doctor and have the correct procedure done, thankfully.

He has the most accommodating and efficiently run office of any doctor I know. They went out of their to get me scheduled in a timely fashion for my needs. Their follow up has been everything that I could have wanted. He is so approachable, and took all the time in the world to answer our questions. Time was not rushed with him.

The office is huge and imposing. there are many windows to check in but no organized system to wait in line. You are confronted with these check in windows right off the elevator. It was very confusing. The practice is so huge that there was no sense of personal contact with anyone. The waiting room is a down a long hallway and very impersonal. There is an aquarium set near a children's play area. That was the only sign on life in the place. I waited for a fair length of time in the doctor's exam room. I had been given a paper garment to wear so the doctor could examine my shoulder. I received no instruction on how to wear it and put it on wrong at first. I was sent to get my x-rays with an assistant who guided me through the crowded waiting room with only this paper garment covering my upper torso. There was no regard for my privacy or embarrassment. Luckily, someone directed me the back way back to the exam room. After a short physical exam, I was sent home to wait for a call to reschedule for a follow-up. It took several weeks to get in the see the doctor again. His conclusions were to continue with the physical therapy I had initiated and that was that. Several physical concerns were uncovered by the x-rays, but the doctor seemed unconcerned. I went home feeling violated and confused. I had spent a good deal of time and knew little more than when I arrived. The place seems to be run for the doctors' convenience with little regard for the emotional stress of the patients. If I ever need an another orthopedic consult, I hope there will be somewhere else to go.
