B worked for friends of ours, they thought he did a great job. I referred him to my sister for some work. His work was OK, he missed a few details. I had a

job, thought he'd be able to perform that easily. I'd removed a ceiling fan from one room and purchased a new one to install. I also wanted to switch out a flush ceiling fixture for a small, single bulb decorative hanging fixture. He did the hanging fixture first, it has teardrop shaped glass peicess hanging from it. I had hung one of these before and found that some of the pieces tangled with each other, so I went through the fixture the night before

arrived to make sure all the pieces were disentangled and the teardrops were in good condition. After

hung it, he handed me a few broken teardrop pieces and said "You had some broken pieces in there." I knew that wasn't true, but fortunately there were enough crystals that the few missing broken pieces didn't show. Then he put up the ceiling fan. I was home the whole time. When he finished, I went to see. The base of the new fan (round) did not completely cover the square hole cut into the ceiling drywall from the previous fixture! There were four vacant corners sticking out from the new ceiling fan base.

There was no reason he could not have called me into the room to let me know that the new base wouldn't cover the hole, I was home in my office the whole time; I can't imagine why he would just install the fixture anyway. I had a photographer coming the next day because we were putting the house on the
