Portland Lamp Repairs Reviews

"The service took a very long time. It seemed like they were pretty backed up. They told me that it would take a few months, I checked back and it wasn't ready. A few months later, it was ready. "

"Two Lighting repair businesses on Angies List quoted between $40-$75 to fix it, plus a two to four week turnaround.

had an old style dimmer box that housed a fuse, so cost to fix: $3. The owner was even nice enough to help me carry

back to my truck. This guy was A-1 awesome, and he should be the one lamp retailers recommend rather than "LL." I purchased an extra fuse for the future.

"I drove to their shop, the person helped me promptly and gave me a reasonable cost estimate, and told me that the lamp would be ready in 10-14 days. About 4 days later, the shop called and told me the lamp was ready. The new wiring is working very well."

is always friendly and helpful, and very busy. It was about 30 days before the lamp was ready, but it worked when

"

was rude and uncommunicative. I had to initiate all contact and he generally responded uninformatively or in monosyllables, if at all. One of the worst service encounters I've ever had."

"
Portland Lamp Repairs Provider Name Locked
knows his business and did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. He estimated it would take him a month to get to the work, but it took 6 weeks. He telephoned me as stated. It was worth waiting for him."

"Very knowledgeable staff. Excellent work, very reliable, also have ready made lamps as well as doing custom jobs. Prices vary as to what you're looking for."

"One (out of a pair) of lamps suddenly stopped working. After reading reviews on Angie's List (under "lamp repair"), I called
Portland Lamp Repairs Provider Name Locked
. I described the problem and asked if I could bring the lamp in around 1 PM. The gentleman I spoke with by phone gave me helpful directions for finding their shop. (The shop is somewhat difficult to identify if you are driving by the location.) When I arrived at the shop, the gentleman was waiting on another customer and told her that the shop had a backlog of about 3 weeks work - so, I was fully expecting to leave my lamp at the shop for that amount of time. However, when he looked at my lamp, he immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it within a few minutes. He even gave me an extra "on-off" switch - in case my lamp's "twin" develops the same problem. I'm so pleased that Angie's List

"It takes about three weeks for a lamp to be finished. I was in no hurry, so that was OK.
Portland Lamp Repairs Provider Name Locked
was able to fill me in on the history of a lamp I didn't know was valuable. He also helped me get the lamps (floor lamps) out of and back into my car.

"Excellent. They could have told me anything about the lamp and charged me a ton to fix the wiring and I would have been none the wiser. They didn't do that, though, even though I obviously knew nothing about lamp wiring. He identified that it the problem was with the toggle switch and replaced that in about 2 minutes. Fantastic. Will bring every lamp repair issue to them from now on.
