" was a little slow to give us a bid (we later learned this was because he is very busy doing real work) but his bid was detailed and fair. When we made it onto his radar he was very prompt. He gave us a "not-to-exceed" price and he stuck to it without ever hurrying us when we asked for advice or made small adjustments. He takes good care of his well-trained journeymen and apprentice plumbers, even during a strike. We hope he stays in business for another 20 years because it might take us that long to finish our pay-as-you-go home improvement plan!"

"I purchased new kitchen appliances from . GE SS (non-profile) a dishwasher, , microwave/range hood and refrigerator.
My salesman, was the only thing that kept me from returning all the appliances to and taking my business elsewhere. The sales experience was pleasant and that was the only pleasant part of my experience. I wish a good man like was not associated with or the terrible quality sub-contractor they use to deliver, install and remove appliances.
When the delivery people came to deliver my 4 expensive appliances, they refused to remove the old appliances because the archways were "too small". This was told to me by , I know his name because he left his tape measure behind, not
much of a loss to him, he obviously didn't know how to use it.
Then the professional appliance installers refused to install the new appliances and left them in the garage for me to deal with. (I am a single woman over 60 and have arthritis in my hips and knees)
Even though they could not remove my old they did manage to unplug it so I was not able to cook on a for two months while I worked this out. When my friend visited, we managed to move the and refrigerator out of the doors that the professionals said could not be done.
One by one, my friends and family have helped me move in the appliances and install them ourselves. We put in the dishwasher, microwave/range hood combo, and as for the fridge, I returned it. It was too much for me to install myself and I just returned it and bought one from Standard TV and Appliance. Their installers had the fridge in and connected to the water in less than 15 minutes.
If you are in the for mid to high end appliances, I definitely recommend the folks at Standard over the big chain stores.
If only cared how badly their subcontractors reflected upon them. Except for the salesman, no one at gave a rip about my terrible experience. I am still renovating my home and will never, ever purchase anything from again. Especially any single woman or "

Portland Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Reviews

"I called Sundance because of the great reviews from Angie's List. They looked like a company I wanted to work with, and based on the pictures of their work, I thought they did great work. I set up a time for to come out and take a look at the house. We were off to a great start, because he was willing to come by the house within a couple days.
clearly has had lots of experience working on houses like mine. Built in 1912 and needed many updates. As we were discussing what needed to be done, he had great suggestions based on his experience which is exactly what I was looking for. He even gave me tips on how to save money on some of the remodel.
The problem arose when said he would send over the estimate in a couple days. I didn't hear from him for four days, so I decided to call. I left him a voicemail indicating the estimate must not have come through when he tried to send it (giving him the benefit of the doubt), and to resend it and give me a call (I left him both contacts again). Three more days went by with no estimate and no phonecall. So I sent him another message through Anglie's List. Still no call or estimate. I'm not sure what happened to ...if the job is one he decided he didn't want to work on, or if I am someone he would rather not work with. Either way would have been fine, I just expect more out of a professional. When someone hires me to do something, I always follow up and have clear lines of communication through the process, and because of that I hope for the same from others.
By now, if not himself, someone from Sundance should have been in touch. "

"I set up an appointment for to perform work at our house the week before. He showed up on time for our appointment and worked hard the whole time he was here. He even put up with my two and a half year old asking him endless questions. I bought his coupon for the Angie's List big deal so I saved a lot of money, but he would have been worth more for sure. He didn't charge me for the supplies he used, although I would have been happy to pay for them. Overall a great experience and I would definitely use him again."

"The are terrific! They have been working for me for about a year as I am finishing/redoing a number of items on my 1908 house. and Bill are very detail-oriented and great problem-solvers with a good design sense; they have matched the style and materials of my vintage house and completed each project on time. So far they have built in two closets with custom shelving and completed two bathrooms with a lot of tile. They are really beautiful!
In addition, and Bill have corrected the pitch and resurfaced a deck with natural stone, have rebuilt the wooden front entry stairs and handrails, and have poured new cement walkways and stairs, as well as a long driveway. They were very careful with my plants and even kept the dirt clean! and Bill clean up the work site every day and haul away the debris immediately.
and Bill have installed seventeen new double-glazed windows and hired a subcontractor to insulate all the exterior walls (and a ceiling) on two floors of the building. I have had electrical, plumbing, and heating system problems, and all of the subs that they have brought to my house have been excellent, as well as respectful. I recommend these gentlemen highly for their integrity, honesty, and ecological awareness. "

"When came to our home she looked at our guest bathroom and indicated that our budget of $7K was pretty reasonable since it was just involving cosmetic work. We were very surprised at her office to be presented with an estimate of $18K-$20K. Her estimate included design work, permits, job site prep, demo of counter, sink, faucet, tile floor, tub/shower fixtures, new exhaust fan & sheet metal work, new undermount sink, new faucet, new fixtures in tub/shower, drywall repair for plumbing access, marble countertop, new tile in shower niche, gray tile floor, ceiling light fixture & paint.
I felt like this was a pretty straightforward project and so I managed it myself - I picked out all the design elements and I hired professionals for each part of the project (aside from the painting, which I did myself). Compared to NK's original estimate, we ended up not needing to knock the shower wall down to replace the fixtures (they said this was absolutely necessary but my plumber was able to replace all fixtures with taking out just a small amount of tile) - this saved us a lot of time & money. I was able to get everything else in the NK estimate plus a 3 new custom wood cabinet doors, 1 new medicine cabinet frame, and 4 new drawer faces, all for a grand total of $10K - pretty much half the price of the estimate, and I didn't take shortcuts - I used professionals and I got top of the line finishes - marble counter, Sacks limestone tile floor, sink, faucet, jacuzzi jets, bath trim/faucet & shower head, Rejuvenation hardware for cabinets, and Restoration Hardware light fixtures.
The newly remodeled guest bathroom looks great - we saved money to put towards the master bath which is definitely a larger project for which we'll need a contractor & designer. Unfortunately, NK's estimate for our small guest bathroom was so inflated that I can't consider them for our larger project, even though that estimate may be more in line with the actual cost. "

"The final product looks pretty good. I had to touch up the caulk around the counters. I was disappointed because my initial quote included laminated edges so that it would appear as though the counters had 1 & 3/4" edges, but they were not able to do that (and it did not cost less). We decided the extra thick would come too close to the drawer fronts on the bathroom cabinets, so instead we opted for the laminated for the 2 dining room pieces only. A few days later I got a call from Infinity saying that they did not recommend a laminated - he explained that it would be very weak and prone to breaking, and that it's just not something that he does. So, I agreed to no laminated edges - but I was surprised that they didn't tell me this from the beginning as the fabricator made it sound like it's not something he ever does.
Installation didn't go well - 1 of the counters cracked when they drilled a faucet hole. A 2nd counter then had the wrong holes drilled for a different faucet set (faucet sets were clearly marked & shown to installer). Both counters needed to be redone and I am pleased with how Infinity handled this part - they worked quickly to get them finished and installed them the following week. Also, one counter ended up with a 3" back splash instead of 4" and that was also fixed on the 2nd install. In light of the extra aggravation and delay I asked for them to pay for an extra hour for my plumber to make an extra visit, and the first two times I asked they didn't reply to that request. Third time I asked a different person for either the plumber reimbursement or two small complimentary marble for my night stands and nicely agreed to make the , which I greatly appreciate. "

"It isn't all the easy to find a professional, quality and responsible help - especially at the coast. We feel very lucky to have found . He is extremely professional, reliable, and knowledgeable. His workmanship, skills and talent are superior to any contractors we have ever used."

"I was doing a lot of the work of our remodel myself. I hemmed and hawed
about calling in a plumber for that portion as I don't have plumbing tools--I even went as far as setting up a time for him
to come over, canceled and then called him back--he was very
accommodating and informative."

"I was extremely pleased with the work. served as the general contractor on the project, with the cabinets supplied by Pacific Northwest Cabinetry (another great company). All of the people I interacted with exhibited the utmost professionalism. provided a detailed bid and scope of work, and there were only minimal change orders, all but one of which resulted from my decisions. (One was the result of some extra structural work that they discovered had to be done after opening up one of the walls.) was clear about the need for each change order, and the overall price came in very close to the original estimate. Most importantly, the workmanship on every aspect of the remodel was absolutely first rate. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a remodel."
