"Repairman was professional, courteous and very responsive to the urgency of the situation. I could not have asked for a better, quicker, more efficient response. Office staff was also very helpful and talked me through a couple of possible solution to try before dispatching the repairman. I definitely would recommend Pyramid and plan to use them again in future, for furnace check-ups/inspections, maintenance and repairs.

came out about 3 times to identify the cause of an intermittent failure of my mother's furnace. At first the furnace didn't show the problem, then on his second visit he took the minimum cost approach by replacing he capacitor and oiling the blower motor which appeared to be sufficient, but when the problem continued, he finally replaced the full blower motor which solved the problem. He only charged us for one of the travel charges. I've worked with
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
over 15+ years on occasional furnace repairs and originally on a major system overhaul. I appreciate his honesty and efforts to seek the lowest cost approaches for repairs. He's also very effective at explaining the issue in

"Well...they looked at our furnace and told my husband that we needed a new one. Well, that could be tomorrow, next week or in a few years. The service guy also looked at our AC and told my husband that the coils were very dirty and needed to be changed. I asked my husband if he "cleaned" the AC like he was supposed to and my husband didn't know. I called
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to ask them and I never received a call back. We have someone coming out to look at our furnace next week for a quote from
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I think the guy was trying to do a sales job on my husband. I am skeptical at this time and I will be calling other companys for quotes.

"Showed up 20 minutes late without calling; fortunately it didn't take long so I still was able to make my other commitments afterwards.

explained what he was going to do -- after I asked him to -- and then quickly did so. He pointed out a hole in my heat exchanger and explained the different options to replace the whole unit.

"I wish Angie's list gave an A+ rating because that is what I would give to
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. HE IS AWESOME! I can't say enough good things about his service. Our heat went out last Friday and then came back on and then went out again on Monday. This has been an on-going issue with the furnace where the heat blows just with no warmth. The company we had used before (A-Temp) said it was probably the circuit board, but they weren't sure (which to replace was going to be nearly $600) after coming to assess. They recommended we replace the furnace b/c of it's age (it is only 13 years old) and gave us a bid of $9915 to do so!!!
I called
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
this am at 7 and asked him to come by and assess. He was super informative, honest and full of knowledge. He came this morning and told us it wasn't the circuit board but another part and he fixed it for just $200. He also talked to us about what would work best in the house going forward so we'll definitely plan to use him in the future and you should too. I wish I had called him ages ago to service the furnace and anything else! Definitely give him a call.

’s staff were knowledgeable and friendly. They returned calls and answered questions after hours as we worked out our financing. With the temperature dropping, it seemed like they made every effort to expedite the installation date, and provided us with oil/electric space heaters in the interim. We greatly appreciated their timeliness as the temperature plummeted; they were drilling outside even as the snow began to fall.

, our contact, explained how to most effectively use our new system, and made sure all was cleaned up after the work. He was extremely helpful to us.
We would strongly recommend

"I've waited six months to post this so I think I may finally have cooled off ... no thanks to this company.
In 2007, I had them install a new furnace in another house. They were fabulous. In
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
of 2013, I had them install an AC in a new house. The AC project was a cluster F from the get go. It took the installers more than 9 hours and the electrician left debris including sharp pieces of wire and screws everywhere - just perfect for pets to ingest.
The next day, the AC wouldn't start. They wouldn't come back without my paying extra because it was after hours. I had to wait another week for visit two. And, visit three, and then I emailed the owner. Then, I got some action. However, it took at least 5 more visits, wasted Saturdays, missed appointments, you name it. All the while, it was 90+ outside, I was out more than $5K and
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
, they just didn't see the hurry.
The receptionist was rude and dismissive and threw me under the bus, making me deal with the electrical company and the City of Portland for inspections. She told Bear Electric I was "furious." Trust me people, I can let it fly. But I never lost my cool with these people. Not once. I was persistent and polite and clear - Just get me an AC that works!
Oh, did I mention the install failed inspection? Yes. They had to relocate the box on the outside of my house, because it was more than two feet from where code required it to be. Hello? Two feet? This meant yet another visit, more inspections and additional holes drilled into the side of my brick home. I'm screwed if I ever have to call for warranty service, which I'm betting will happen this summer.
After all of this, I contacted Columbia because I believe I deserve some money for the time I wasted having to deal with their incompetence. I mailed, I emailed and I called multiple times, but they ignored me. I got an attorney friend to threaten suit. In the beginning, they returned $293 because their bid included installation of another vent, which they didn't install, but that was the only money I got back from the $5K+ they charged me for this awful waste of time.
In the end, Columbia simply refused to contact me, they didn't return my attorney's calls and they rejected service of registered mail. I could have sued them for free or filed a complaint with the
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
CCB, but I gave up on them, figuring why throw good energy after bad.
I don't know what happened to this company.
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the owner, used to be on it and take care of his customers. Spread the news far and wide people, stay away from this company.

"The technician was here about 1/2 hour and explained to me what he would be doing. When he was done, I received a bill/review of the condition of our heater. We were not charged for anything beyond the coupon and we were not recommended to change anything. Very satisifed with the service.

"It started off rocky because there was a missed deadline on the original day that the service was supposed to be performed. All was forgiven because during the time we were having a bad winter snow storm. They re-scheduled for two days later and this time Jerime was prompt to call us within 30 minutes of his arrival, and he came at the earliest part of the 3 hour window. He was very professional and not pushy at all.

"We had
Portland HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Cooling out to our house last week as our furnace was experiencing some overheating issues.
We choose them based on the their outstanding Angie's List Reviews, the fact that they were a Carrier Brand authorized repair company and that my father-in-law who has been in the industry for over 30 years had had exceptional contact with them in the past.
The service technician was exceptional and provided an accurate diagnosis and stated that someone would call the next day with detailed information for us to use to make a decision on the best repair course.
At no time did I feel pressured to make a decision - and at the time of this posting - my wife and I are still considering the best course for us.
I would highly recommend them!
