"Great experience overall. It was very helpful to walk through with him, he provided me with a lot of information and also answered questions I had during the inspection. He told me about what he found along the way. Everything of which was also in the report. He was easy to talk to, very obliging to all my questions, friendly and professional. He was there for a number of hours looking at everything. He was also experienced with current and past standards (e.g. he saw a sink had rusted from weld line and knew what was from my age of house where they had done this bad design).
He provided a 35 page report the same day in PDF format. He found a number of issues and as a result I've had the opportunity to get them all taken care of by the seller prior to closing.

" Justice did not several reports for us on a home we were putting a purchase offer on.
He was very responsive to our needs, and even went out on a Sunday to do an EIFS report so we could decide whether we should proceed with our home offer on Monday morning.
Had the report from him on Sunday night, we decided to go ahead with our purchase, and he then went out the following week to do the home inspection and radon testing.
He did a good job and in a very timely manner."

"I put in an offer on a house in Portland, in the hills near OHSU, contingent on an inspection. We set the appointment for 9 AM on Presidents Day, which really floored me. I was on time, but had already done a walk-around on the perimeter of the lot to inspect the sidewalks. From there, he systematically walked the yard, then inspected the outside walls, then the roof, gutters and drainage. First thing he did when we entered the house was to turn on the dishwasher and the furnace. He combed through each room, looking through everything. He then went back up to the kitchen to check for leaks in the dishwasher and under the sink, and by then the house was warm enough to do thermal imaging of the walls. Unlike many inspectors, he did not charge extra for this service.
Just talking with him as we went through the inspection, described some of the training classes he took to keep current. He is licensed in both and , and he explained how he tailors his reports to cover both sets of regulation."

" scheduled us on short notice and allowed me to shadow him throughout the inspection. He explained in detail everything he was looking for and showed me all his findings. He was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. In addition to the normal inspection, he was very helpful about suggesting overall home maintenance tips and ways to improve energy efficiency. "Our inspector spent ~3 hours looking over our 2600 sq ft home, inside and out. He took pictures and wrote up a full report. "The team at scheduled an inspection for a time that worked for everyone, and was very responsive both to telephone and email. They made it very clear what would and wouldn't be inspected (the usual limitations of what can and can't be reasonably done in a standard inspection), and asked about any unusual or unique things we'd like to add to the standard inspection job.
showed up on time and was prepared for all sorts of odd situations, and got straight to work. inspected the house top to bottom, modestly going about his business without bothering anyone, but was at the same time very pleasant and helpful. I can't say enough about how generous is with his expertise - at any time that I was interested in what he was looking at or things he was concerned about, he was patient, helpful and spent as much time explaining what he saw (as well as what he would normally expect to see in comparable situations, and what looked acceptable, odd or downright made him uncomfortable as a former contractor). has an obvious wealth of expertise and experience working on all sorts of home building/remodeling/repair issues, and he makes very practical and down-to-earth suggestions of things you should explore with a contractor (and where he thinks I was getting overly-worried and didn't need to be).
The final walkthrough with , after he's performed his full inspection and points out all his findings, is well worth the price of the inspection. is very thorough, covers every single thing from the major to the trivial, making sure that you understand what he's pointing out and what kinds of problems they'll lead to if they're not adequately remediated (either by the seller or after the purchase). It's the kind of thing that I was tempted to record for posterity, but he said he'd cover it all in his written report, and he did. In fact, 's written reports feel like a planning guide for the prospective buyer (not only for you & your agent to finalize the offer, but also for all the things you should plan for long after you've bought the home).
I've had perform two full home inspections now, and in both cases not only did I learn a ton about the home I was considering buying, but I also gained a good deal of confidence in the kinds of reasonable & practical ways to address those upcoming fixes/improvements. I am planning to have professionals do most of that work, but I felt like I had a trusted expert keep me focused on the important stuff."

" is fantastic and worth every penny! We were in the process of buying a very large home in NE Portland when our realtor recommended . Our realtor explained that was a little more money than the other inspector she used, but was very experienced in older homes and meticulous in his work. We couldn't be more pleased with 's Inspection. He caught issues on the electrical panel that had been missed when the home was sold 2 yrs prior. It was so helpful to have someone like who is familiar with the issues of older homes and to point us to reputable contractors to help deal with repairs or additional inspections. The sellers of the home were actually upset with us because of the length of our inspection and subsequent evaluations of the electrical system, and stucco exterior. They thought that we were just fishing for extra money off the house, but in fact we were just doing our due diligence based on 's extensive report on the property. We are so glad that we found and feel much more comfortable buying an older home knowing that it has been thoroughly inspected by a seasoned professional. FYI - the price for our inspection was higher than usual since the home was 6000sq feet of finished space and another 1200sq feet of unfinished basement - it took him 6 hrs to inspect... and he still spent another 1 hr with us going over his report. Hire him! He's fantastic:)."

"A friend of mine recommended to provide a home inspection. responded to my call within a day and we set up an inspection within a week. was prompt, thorough and courteous. He found some dry-rot and wiring issues that need to be addressed as well as landscaping/water issues. personally showed me many of the problems he found and also provided digital pictures of issues he found on the roof. All concerns were included with pictures in his written report. I really appreciated the time he spent addressing the energy conserving or "green" possibilities of our home and also possible security issues. While we are not considering selling at this time, getting these issues addressed will protect the value of our home and the safety of our family."
