The work:
was like a miracle worker. He took all 10 chairs, which had just been very poorly refinished by another vendor and had to start from scratch. With professionalism, he didn't put down the other person's work, he just identified the areas he could fix and how he would do it. We thought they were a lost cause. He completely, competently and correctly re-stained them … they look brand new!
Furniture is high quality, we were thrilled he saved them. After we saw how he did the first test chair, we asked if he would do the table top and pedastal so everything would match. The stain color the first vendor used for the chairs was way off.
found spots of original stain on the undersides and used that as a guide, then finessed what would work for the table so it would look the same. His attention to detail with sanding and with color matching was really, really good!
The price: The first vendor had quoted us a price which we later found out was below
.
said he would honor that price after hearing the story, but we preferred to pay him what he would have charged in the first place. That he would offer certainly speaks to his integrity!
The time: All of this good service was intense work, and it was done between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Amazing. We took the furniture to him because it was easy. He delivered it back promptly, in time for us to host family and friends. Okay, we used the chairs … at
's advice we left the table in the garage to cure a bit longer and used folding tables instead. We appreciated that he was looking out for the long-term best interests of the new stain, instead of letting the holidays rush the project.
The experience: Great! He was a pleasure to work with, his price was fair, and the end result better than we ever could have hoped for. Looking forward to the next project!

came to our home the day after we called him. He was very very prompt and wonderful to work with. He asked me to send him a picture of the springs on our chair so that he could tell us whether or not he could repair it. He called me after seeing the pictures and said he could tell that the springs had been improperly placed and yes, he could fix the problem. He came to our home and it only took about 1 hour to fix this problem.
This chair has been in my husband's family for 100 years, so it was really important that it be repaired.
We are extremely grateful to
for his wonderful service.

I called him in the evening and left a message. He called me the following morning and was very willing to share several suggestions on how I could repair this rocking chair. - even though he did not do that particular type of work, he helped me with ideas of whom to call. He is just the type of person I would love to work with in the future.

They're excellent. They have suggestions. They have lots of choices in terms of the fabrics, suggestions on the ware of the fabric, and the importance to decide. They polished the furnitures, and they have techniques to make the wood look good again. I think his prices are good. He took pieces of furniture that we might have discarded, and they made them beautiful. He needs something in a hurry so you have to work on him on the time.

My wife and I were both amazed at the quality of the repair: we can't even see where the tear was. And the craftsman was prompt, courteous, and related well to our dogs. I wish I had found LeatherPros a few years ago so we could have gotten rid of the tear much sooner.

I left a message for
Portland Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
thru Angie's List about a recliner repair and was contacted via phone that evening. We set an appointment for Saturday before noon and he arrived @ 1045.
He had all of the necessary parts on hand, and I also had him replace the other springs as long as he was on-site.
It was a quick and efficient repair and I will definitely contact
Portland Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
with any future repairs.

I chose
Portland Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
because of the raving reviews on angieslist. They are a phenomenal upholsterer. I had a very clear vision of what I wanted to do to my headboard and matching bench and
Portland Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
went above and beyond my expectations. There was a waiting period of a few weeks before they were able to pickup my items. They then sent them to another company to be custom painted before starting. From the point of pickup, the wait was minimal.
Expensive; yes. Time-consuming; yes. Able to listen to my ramblings and discern important details from my babbling; yes. Deliver a beautiful, custom, one-of-a-kind heirloom quality piece to my door; yes.

were very professional and personable and both lovely to work with. In fact, I've already given them more pieces to work their magic on. Just that awesome.
Also, if I hadn't had my own fabric, they have a showroom with literally hundreds of fabric samples and I would have easily found another in their stock.
If you select an inexpensive upholsterer, you will receive cheap work. If you care about quality and workmanship, contact an elite professional, like

I've posted pictures of the before and after of the headboard. I love them so much!

was easy to reach by phone and we set up a time for me to bring the bed rails over. He had them ready for me to pick up in a few days. It was great to get the work done with such ease. He would have come over to get the bed rails, but indicated the cheapest way was for me to drop off. That certainly proved to be the case! I'm very satisfied and feel I received an excellent deal for the work done.

From the initial email to the visits in the shop, to post calls/emails; everything has been fantastic. They are quick to respond, very helpful and willing to do the research to make sure I'm happy. Great company that I will continue to use. Kaelish is indispensable resource for them.
