"The old shower had to be completely broken out; the tiles, walls & flooring.

had many heavy pieces of broken concrete to carry out but did not make any

on any of the walls along his path. He covered all the flooring from the entrance of our house to the shower & kept the debris cleaned up. He set up his work station on the patio & cleaned it up before leaving each day. When he retiled the shower he did something I hadn't thought of; he turned the tiles to make a random pattern across the walls. A small detail that made a big difference. He built two niches in the back wall for our soap & shampoo & matched all the grout lines. He also installed a fold down seat at the center of the back wall which makes showering much easier. Grab bars were also installed exactly where we wanted them & while the studs were exposed, he built reinforcement for the bars & seat. You couldn't ask for a better craftsman to work with. He checked with me often to make sure we were both on the same page & he happily answered all my questions.

"I have used FA before for my office area (linoleum) and a bedroom (wood laminate) and was very happy. I love both floors. This time I had them replace the awful vinyl in my kitchen and downstairs vanity. This time, I had to pick a pattern based on a sample of granite counter not yet installed.
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
helped me choose a very unusual and unlikely pattern. She is very friendly and professional and knows her flooring.

(sp?) their installer arrived punctually on the scheduled date and worked hard. He is friendly, pleasant and professional. He is an artist. The tile went down without hitches and looks fabulous! I love both floors.

was right about the pattern. The counters were installed this week and they and the tile are a dramatic combo. As with the earlier project, everyone at FA was helpful and professional. I have used other installers. The bedroom floor FA replaced for me was from a different company. It was a laminate that separated and basically fell apart. I am looking at all of my remaining floors critically and figuring out which I can replace next. When I decide, I will go with FA. I recommend them completely and without hesitation. They are the best.

Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
has done work for me before. Both experiences have been great. We rent part of our house and have had
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
install flooring in the rental space. They have been great with coordinating with our tenants and with us! The work was done very efficiently and better then expected! They repaired damaged subflooring that I wasn't aware needed to be repaired and installed quarter round moulding and stayed within my budget. The finished floors looked amazing! I know that when I hire
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to do a job I can count on the job being done very well and within my budget. I recommend

"Very impressed. Very knowledgable regarding the key details that make a project a success, For example, he asked aout our shoe sizes to make sure we did not reduce the depths of our stairs in a way that might cause a tripping hazard (very meticulous).
After they removed the carpet, it turned out they needed to do a lot of creative prep work, including leveling out the landing so that the carpet tiles would

High quality install. After my wife first saw the installation, she said wow - our back stairs are now one of the nicest areas in our house!

"Quick bid, salesman unaware of deal on line, showed him and he called his boss. We were asked to remove the carpeting and move the furniture. Agreed to do that. I went to the shop to look at color samples. The color I wanted was not there. Agreed to meet my salesman at a warehouse on Swan Island to view my options. 10 blocks from the warehouse I was called and told that the boss did not think it was a good idea for us to go to the warehouse . I had driven over 30 minutes already. I drove to the warehouse-now this was beginning to feel off to me. I sat in the parking lot of a place that had will call for almost anything you might need. I considered going in and opted to call instead. Why yes they did have one 57 yard roll of the color I wanted to see, I called
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, asked them to put my name on it. They asked me to pay for it, " just like a big box store". They d had bad experiences in the past so wanted job paid for upfront. I was uncomfortable because our previous contractor had purchased, installed and billed for the awesome product and floor we received. My install date was 3 weeks out. I paid all but $400 and change. I showed my daughter the color online and found the website had been updated to have a sale price on just these 9 colors. Mine was not on the list. Several emails between the boss and me, my salesman and me and a few phone calls resulted in a new and more expensive bid. I accepted. We set a date for installation after Thanksgiving because they were in the middle of a large commercial install. As the date neared my husband, daughter with a little help from me removed the carpeting, the glued to cement carpet padding, stacked it the garage for hauling on a dry day. The weekend before the install date, I wrapped and boxed the breakables, my husband put up our camping 12x12cover and moved the furniture outside. This was the week it snowed, cover blew and broke, furniture was now tarped. I emailed and txtd salesman fact that we were prepared and to confirm arrival time of crew the next day. I got a phone call 4hours later while out to dinner and was told there had been a mix up with scheduling the installers and they would be able to start the following Saturday. I still wonder when he planned on telling us this vital piece. We were both upset not just about the hold up but the family get together to put up the tree the Saturday he purposes to change the install to. Unacceptable. I did not get any responses to further texts or photos of completed prep work. Salesman was able to have installers come Tuesday to look at the job, they started Wednesday. The color was not what we had expected.we settled for what was delivered. Salesman had predicted it would take about 4 hours, his boss interjected, no probably all day. In the midst of the project the installers said these seams need to be heat sealed and that would cost 3.50 more per foot. He would call salesman and ask
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to order the amount we would use. Salesman called back to say the heat tape comes in rolls and we were to buy the whole roll not just the 35 feet or so we would use. No thanks. The installers brought the correct seam tool on day two and the seams are acceptable. It took 4 days, . Quite a bit of glue left in our deep sink. Installers had removed wall trim- husband painted . At the end of job installers said no putting back up trim ,was not their job. To call salesman . I sent a message to salesman with bid quote including remove and replace. They were replaced. There was quite a discussion about the stair nose trim needed for the transition from floor to basement stairs. Resolved with black rubber outdoor step stair nose. Not your conventional look inside. The salesman came on Saturday to clean the floor, remove glue and to put recommended sealer on the floor. He needed to use our rags and distilled water. He was on the phone more than he worked, not just during times when floor needed to dry. The result shows rag wipe
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
missed seam sealer which was the covered with sealer that include salesmans wet sock footed foot prints. I am hoping they will wear away. Carpet and padding was removed and disposed of by salesman. That was nice. I looked up
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
on Angie's list after we started this project and reviews showed the same types of things we were experiencing. I almost said to salesman that I ought to have read Angie's list before I called them. I did not because I felt the job might not be done well. Communication from salesman was sparse during the rough patches. Quick to call and ask for remaining money tho. The check went in the mail today. It is difficult to express the frustration, dissappointment and aggravation we experienced with this company and their work practices. So unprofessional.

"We had a complete kitchen remodel with walls taken out. They took an old, dark, cramped, 50's-sized space that had been kind of remodeled sometime in the 80's and turned it into a light, airy and big contemporary kitchen that we are very happy with.
We had planned this remodel for a few years and received bids from several contractors, but Ed
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was the first person we met who gave us the confidence we needed to move forward with the project. He is a cabinet maker which allowed us to get exactly what we wanted because he could manipulate cabinet size to the space that we had to work with.
Ed really understands what can and can't be done to a space, almost at first glance. He was able to look at what we wanted and the space we had and come up with a working solution that gave us what we wanted, something the other contractors were unable to do.
Ed was patient with our questions, he demonstrated subject matter expertise in all areas of construction, he stuck to his original cost proposal, and he completed the project in half the time other contractors had estimated.
Ed and his team operate with the highest degree of personal integrity and pride in workmanship. Overall we had a very positive experience working with Ed and we would not hesitate to work with them again for another remodel project.

"I worked with
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
through the company Classique Floors. He and his assistants were on-time, friendly, and professional.
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is very good at communicating. I understood what would happen, what he needed from me as well as keeping me informed on time lines including when he would return from lunch and the following days (the job took three days.) He was very patient as I ask a lot of questions. He also cheerfully returned a week later when I had some questions about the flooring. He reviewed the whole job and tweaked some of the molding. I was very pleased with the quality of work and the professionalism of the communications. I will hire
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
again for some finishing work not included in this job.

"The salesman,
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
Harron, came to the house and spent 30 minutes measuring and evaluating the job. His estimate was very detailed, and he provided a line item report with different job possibilities and their cost. There was a concern with the condition of the kitchen floor, so he came out again once we agreed to the initial estimate to make sure the costs would be accurate. The installer,
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, came to deliver the product before installation. At all times he and his assistant,
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, were on-time, professional, friendly, and courteous in all communications. Very easy to work with. The install took three days, including moving furniture and appliances, as well as pulling and reinstalling a toilet. We were very happy with the job. After a week, I had questions about the floor, and
Portland Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
returned to review the job and make sure the concerns were addressed.
