Fitness And Health Reviews in Portland

The fitness center is small and it is very manageable for somebody who does not want to do a whole involve thing. They have some of the basic equipments; they have the treadmill, free weights and stuff like that. You can make arrangements for personal trainer to work with you. They have four or five of them available for you to set up an arrangement with. I have not done that but they are available if you want to. They have a changing room with a shower. It is pretty convenient if you need that. It is very reasonably priced. It is part of the Portland Park’s Bureau. It is always clean and well maintained. I find it a pleasant place to just go and do a little quick workout. I take an exercise class there. That is not part of the fitness center per say but its part of the community center. It is one of the community center fitness programs, so it is very convenient for me to go to this class and when I do not want the class I just walk across the hall and there is the gym. For me it works very well because I am already there. They have quite a few classes. I am actually a senior. They have quite a few fitness activities for people who are fifty and over, at that community center. In terms of price, I think it’s very reasonable. I would definitely go there again.

is not restricted to but centers around the use of
bells, which is a new form for me. It works on the idea of functional strength as supposed to using the machines for bodybuilding. They provide guidance workshop with an instructor. They have a small ratio of number of participants to an instructor. They provide good training. It is challenging, but you can kind of fine tune your own interest in strength, power, or cardiovascular depending of the device and the workout you choose. It is a great all-around body workout in a short period of time. The training schedule includes a warm-up and a cool out. The trainers are very knowledgeable and committed to helping people with their form of exercise. They are very positive and encouraging. They work very hard. They are not cheap.

Fitness And Health reviews in Portland

I have been satisfied with the Club so far. I was extremely fed up with the filth at 24-Hour Fitness in the Pearl and not being able to get into the Spinning classes even when I got to the gym 58 minutes before the class time.
Portland Fitness Centers Provider Name Locked
has a good selection of weight training equipment and cardio. The Spinning bikes and Aerobic classrooms are kept open so anyone can go in and do their thing. The Spinning bikes are a little disappointing because they are a cheap version that doesn't adjust as well as the bikes at 24-Hour but you can still get a good workout. The locker rooms are clean and there is a sauna inside both the women's and mens. Overall, I would recommend LAF to anyone who wants a step above 24 Hour but doesn't want to pay for a really nice club like Riverplace Athletic.

I called around ahead of time to several of their locations, because I learned that the all offer slightly different deals. Decided on the Pearl location because they had the best offer, and also because it is the location that I prefer to go to. They have a lot of equipment, and it's never terribly crowded during the times I go. I haven't taken any classes there yet, but they have a good selection.

Anytime Fitness of Noblesville is always very clean. For the price the equipment is nice and the staff is friendly. It doesn't offer a lot of the "

This club charges a fortune for monthly membership services, which continues to rise year after year. Recent expansion - despite additional tennis courts - it is incredibly hard to get tennis court time in the evenings after work or on weekends as courts are always booked up a week in advance. The pools need to be cleaned more frequently as the water is murky. The club hours are limited and do not cater to members who prefer early mornings or late evenings on Saturdays and Sundays. Showers are in bad repair and the carpet in old tennis center is disgusting.

Very oversold. Management continues to over sell the club. Workout area is under equipped for the amount of people. A '

' can tie it up a piece of equipment for an hour or more. Some people will even tie up multiple pieces of equipment, and be aggressive if you try to use "their" equipment. No staff on floor, all are selling. The personal trainers: Based on my observations, their qualifications are suspect. One trainer has the habit of placing a barbells on end, dangerous. Anyone walking by could knock it over. Management was simply not interested. I was never able to even talk with a manager about it, (too busy selling). Location is great. Long time regulars are mostly nice folks. There are some odd ducks passing through. We do monthly billing on Visa. Changed cards, notified them, they screwed it up, and turned us into collections. To their credit they did fix it, months later. Bottom line is that I have skipped a workout more than once due to over crowding.

The staff is very friendly, The trainers are knowledgeable and friendly and non-intimidating. I have never been to a gym before this one, so can't compare to others, but this one is clean, comfortable, and never too crowded, at least during the hours I've been in there (granted, I don't usually go in during peak after-or before-work hours, so can't comment on that). The showers are nice (though water pressure could be a little better) and there is a sauna and light therapy/aroma therapy room in the bathroom. The fact that the main part of the gym is women only is also a big plus.

The main part of the club is for women only. That's an agreeable thing for those who aren't necessarily super-young, spandex-ready, conditioned athletes. Not to say those people aren't there, but it's just a club where everybody can feel comfortable. There are quite a few ongoing classes offered, which are included in the price of the membership except for a couple of exceptions like the Mommy and Me classes and the Half Marathon Training classes. The fitness instructors are all first-rate, and classes offered include yoga (and yoga strength for advanced practitioners), Pilates, step aerobics,

Generally ok. The gym was rarely crowded and there's cable TV (nice bonus). Price was reasonable. Staff was nice and friendly. BUT, facilities were very dirty. Machines rarely got cleaned and when they broke it often took weeks to repair. The locker rooms were dirty. The showers were filthy, the curtains had mold. In the end, my contract required me to give 30 days notice to cancel. When I did so, the owner refused to pro-rate my last month because (by
