Scheduling was easy and they were able to deliver the next day. The driver called ahead and showed up on time and was polite and professional. The quality of the wood was good. I'll use them again.

I ordered a cord of maple and was warned that the wood was not ready to burn now, but I only need it after fall, plenty of time for it to dry. They deliver free in
Portland Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
and for $2/mile outside, the miles start at crossing the bridge.
In the past I have bought wood from Portland area dealers and the wood they deliver is always accompanied by a large amount of dirt/mud, less then a cord (last year, 20% less!), and usually I have to toss about 35

. of debris - bark, rotten wood.
This year, I got a full cord of beautiful, clean maple and didn't have to toss -any- debris and paid approx. $60 less and instead of a hardwood "mix", got all maple.
Can't recommend

highly enough.

When I called, I was greeted by a friendly, helpful voice. She (sorry, can't remember her name) easily answered some questions I had about what kind of wood I should get, how it would perform, etc. After we scheduled the delivery, the guys called about 40 minutes before they showed... which is exactly what the receptionist said they'd do. When they got here, they were a bit taken aback by the distance they had to go to the side of the house, I thought we were pretty clear. I felt bad, tipped them, and think everything was fine. The pieces are cut in very manageable sizes and very consistent. I also forgot to ask them to set

away from the house a bit... of course they did this without my asking as they do this all the time and know what to do! They also left some kindling... so cool for a girl that can't always start a fire from scratch. I will be calling them from now on for our firewood. Thanks for your service and promptness and professionalism!!!

We called and ordered the wood about a week prior to delivery. The delivery was spot on time. The driver phoned in advance to let us know he was on the way. The wood was nicely seasoned, with minimal waste, and a proper length for our forced air fireplace insert. It was an honest cord, as my full one-cord wood racks showed. The driver was friendly and informative, showing me the various types of wood (we hold back some

for smoking). In addition he provided a full case of wax/sawdust, stick style fire starters as a bonus. I don't know if this was a promotion, new customer swag or common practice. Although we use fatwood (highly recommended!) for fire starting, the starters were much appreciated and came in handy for campfires. Over all a great company and terrific experience.

The driver called me 40 minutes prior to arrival and arrived right on time. He placed the wood on the left side of the driveway, perfectly, just as requested. Their truck was new and modern. The wood is gorgeous, dry and clean, and smells great. I will use them in the future because they provide dry, well seasoned wood that is clean and free from sawdust and dirt. The woman I ordered the wood from on the phone was nice and helpful and their website does a good job of explainging their different woods and pricing. This is a company I can trust and I would recommend them to anyone needing firewood. Finally, I found a great firewood provider!

For people in
Portland Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
they add a delivery charge of $2/mile (one way) from the border, but it was only $26 (13 miles) for Beaverton delivery. The total cost of the wood was competitive with wood delivered without a delivery charge, plus it was excellent dry and clean wood! They are in Battleground, WA, so if you live in the Vancouver area, the delivery is free.

I called about five different sources I found on Angies List for firewood. Most offered a mix of fir, maple and
Portland Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
for about $285. I called the Wood Guys and they offered

for $220, Maple for $250 and Oak for $300. In the past I have found that when you buy a "mix" from most supplier, you get quite a bit of fir. So, I didn't want a "mix." I placed my order on August 30th for one cord of oak. The next available delivery date was September 8th. I asked for morning delivery on the following day, the 9th. By ordering on August 30th I was able to get the wood at the August price before prices increased on September 1. I was told that they charge a delivery fee of $2 per mile after they cross into
Portland Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
. On September 9th we received a call before 11:00 a.m. from the driver saying he would be here in about 30 minutes. He arrived on time. The wood is high quality oak. Some of the load was aged one year and the rest aged two years. The delivery charge was $6.

Good wood selection. Wood was well seasoned as indicated. Efficient order process. Multiple pmnt options. Price competitive. Next day delivery at no additional cost. Wood delivered very early within the delivery window scheduled. Delivery guy was nice, efficient, professional, quick. I'll totally use them forever -- and will recommend to my friends that also still use firewood.
