" was approachable and struck a great balance between asking my opinion and offering his expertise. Except for some small issues regarding timing, and an accidental digging into my oil line, I was happy with the work they did. It was beautiful. HOWEVER, he needed to be reminded several times of projects I had asked to have completed.; his crew sometimes wouldn't come when they said they would; he lost the contract we had agreed to more than once; and, in retrospect, some of the work that was done, wasn't done well. For example, the invasive grass and dandelions they removed weren't removed deeply, and have regrown. Some of the plants they planted have died. The bulbs in my front bed they promised to dig gently around didn't come up this spring. My biggest gripe is that they promised monthly maintenance as part of our contract. They haven't shown or returned my calls. My new plantings are dying or dead, the grasses have returned, the irrigation system they installed needs to be turned on, etc. They took the money but haven't fulfilled their contract. (This may be due to the fact that has been ill, though I have no way of knowing, and for that I'm very sorry. He's a nice guy. I expect someone from his team to fulfill his promises, though, even when he can't.)"

"Overall, we couldn't be happier with our deck. The entire process from start to finish was absolutely fantastic and was great to work with! I would defnitely recommend for any of your projects. "

" was truly amazing throughout the project. He showed up right away, was extremely knowledgable, and even helped to improve the design of our remodel. He started on time and performed most of the work by himself with one other worker. They worked very fast and very clean. At any time, we could fully trust him, and greatly enjoyed this collaboration, since he made us feel like family. In fact, he remodeled our house as if it was his own. If something unexpected came up (e.g., dry rot) he repaired it right away. When we wanted to have a long support beam moved inside the ceiling to not obstruct the view, he met with the inspector and came up with a sound approach to make this difficult task happen. He never charged an extra for his extra efforts, except when we added some major items, such as an outdoor gas fireplace. He also helped other workers that we hired independently (e.g., to install a geothermal heating system), and did not charge us for his help. His strength is framing, which he can do very fast, and all beams line up just perfect. He even installed an 8x8' glass sliding door, and the frame that he prepared was a perfect fit. We have had prior experience with unqualified workers and contractors. was better than we could ever hope for, and his pricing is honest and very reasonable. Sometimes, works and talks a 100 miles an hours, which could give the impression that he doesn't pay attention or that he may forget things that he quickly notes on a piece of paper. I quickly learned that he has an amazing memory, did forget a thing, and that he is very organized. So don't get confused if he appears less professional than some of the big remodel companies and rest assured that he knows everything about his profession! He walked us through the hole project and kept us informed on the progress at any time. We can't wait to have him do the next project on our house."

"I took a photo of my back door along with drawings of what I wanted into and they were very willing to do the work exactly as I wished. Another bidder had insisted on doing more and had a much higher bid. even gave me a discount on the "small deck fee" because it was so late in the season for this type of work.
Although the original installation date had to be delayed a week, due to a scheduling problem with another customer, the work was completed before bad weather set in.
On instalation day, the two builders looked at my drawings and went right to work. It only took a couple of hours to finish. It's very sturdy and looks beautiful."

"I bought a house subject to an inspection report, in which the inspector found a badly damaged deck structure on the top floor. The whole underside was rotted away. I asked Romi to come out to make a bid, knowing the sellers were going to hire a handyman to "fix" the deck. Romi took one look and said nobody is fixing this deck, it needed to be torn down and replaced. He gave me an estimate to do the work, which turned out to be lower than the seller's handyman was going to charge, so they hired . Romi had a crew out within a week, and they were able to finish before we closed on the house. All this, despite the record rains in March.
The old 2x8 joists were so badly rotted that less than two inches of wood was left to support the structure. The workers also found a rotted siding panel against the house, which they replaced. The house was built in 1986, which I think is way too soon to need a new deck - unless there had been no maintenance done over the years by the former homeowners.
In the end, the sellers and I agreed to split the cost and in exchange they agreed to lower the offering price. Romi was able to accomodate us, and even took time from his vacation to make sure everything settled before the closing date.
I am definitely planning to use Romi and his Company to replace the front staircase, maybe even have them expand it out with a new deck on the front of the house."

"If you are not interested in reading all of the following details of our remodel, we want to emphasize how happy we are with our completed project and we would highly recommend and to do any remodel job or home improvement project.
After receiving the architectural drawings we got a firm, detailed bid from . After revisions and accepting the bid, we signed a written contract with that followed the architectural drawings and had everything we wanted in our remodel and explained in detail with a dollar amount what was included: plumbing, HVAC, windows, interior doors, sliding doors, foundation, drywall, electrical, roofing, insulation, demolition, interior finish carpentry, tile work, siding, oak flooring. and the specifics of cleanup. We covered the choice and cost of special lighting, plumbing fixtures including shower doors, cabinetry in the kitchen and bathrooms (including counter tops), bathroom towel fixtures, bathroom tile, exterior doors and hardware). had subcontractors for electrical work, HVAC, flooring, carpentry, and electrical. We had prior experience with a house painter who we wanted to use and it was not included in 's bid. Once work began, we found that we preferred to use a tile installer that we had previous experience with and the allowance for the tile installation was subtracted from our contract and we paid the tile installer directly. was agreeable to all of these changes. gave us a timely and reasonable bid for these other work orders for some other small changes that we wanted.
As far as the extent of the work involved in the remodel: removed walls dividing the living room and dining room, moved the kitchen to the dining room location and the dining room to the kitchen location, vaulted the ceiling in the living room and added three skylights, added a deck and roof off the kitchen, relocated two bathrooms, added 12 feet to the end of the house thus enlarging the master bedroom and the third bedroom turning it into a studio with vaulted ceiling and two skylights and added an exterior deck to the studio. In addition, we had a walk-in closet added to the master bedroom.
acted as 's foreman and helped coordinate the work. Either or were at the job site every day from the end of November until the job was completed by our move in date of 3/17. Also, the contract included adding storage space, drop down ladder and sheet rock in the garage. That work couldn't be done while we stored household belongings in the garage so it was done in the next week as we emptied out the garage to make room for the drywallers to hang the sheetrock.
There was no part of this project where disappointed us and didn't perform over and above. We would highly recommend him. If he doesn't perform the work himself, his subcontractors and foreman, , do the work meeting all expectations. is easy to work with and made this remodel as easy on us as possible. No remodel goes exactly as expected except this one. The changes we made during the process caused no problems for and we stayed within budget. Although there were some additional costs (such as adding a pantry in the garage), they were choices we made during the process of seeing our vision come together. I am only sorry there are no opportunities to post photos of the before and after. Everyone would be amazed."

"My deck project involved replacing and modifying an elevated deck along the entire length of the upper story of my house. I contacted and several additional deck contractors for design proposals and bids.
All of the contractors were timely with appointments and the submission of bids. The bids were all competitive in price, around $30,000. However, there were large differences in the nature of the companies. I selected Decking because of their professional attitude as well as their knowledge and willingness to work with the ideas I wanted to make use of for the project. My confidence in them was confirmed in every phase of the project.
My initial planning and selection of materials seemed initially overwhelming but was made manageable by ?s patient and well informed contributions. He listened to my ideas for the project and took the time and effort to make very insightful and knowledgeable recommendations. ?s approach was especially appreciated in comparison to most of the other contractors who seemed more concerned with selling me on their own preferences rather than listening to my goals for the deck.
The crew that worked on my deck were absolutely exceptional. and were extremely patient and detail orientated in their work. Every aspect of the construction was completed in a truly craftsman-like fashion. Their skill levels in handling the site and the building materials exceeded my expectations. Their many long years of experience building decks was very apparent.
Romi, an owner of , was a pleasure to work with and went to great lengths to ensure the project was completed smoothly and on time. I was very impressed with Romi?s attention to detail and concern for the quality not only of the deck, but also with my satisfaction as a customer.
During the process of selecting a contractor, I noticed that most deck contractors didn?t have physical showrooms or offices. On further consideration, I realized that a showroom and physical office was a valuable indicator of a contractor?s investment and long-term commitment to the decking business. Thus, it was very encouraging to visit ?s showroom and warehouse to view and discuss various materials and approaches.
When investigating various decking companies, I also noticed that a lot of decking contractors also do all manner of other work ranging from windows to bathrooms. I preferred to find a contractor with years of experience specifically with decks. Therefore, I was glad to find that is a company with a long-term specialized focus on decks.
My deck turned out simply fabulously! It?s extremely well built and shows an obvious design flair that receives immediate complements from all that see my deck. I am very, very pleased. I have now have a gorgeous deck that makes my house and yard seem all the more beautiful. Thanks, !
I was so pleased with ?s work on my deck, that I decided to replace and extend a multi-level porch on the front of my house. The final cost for the porch was around $11,000. Again, this was a great investment as it substantially enhanced the appeal and feel of the house. Again, ?s design ideas, ?s and ?s craftsmanship and Romi?s execution and oversight made the porch project a pleasant experience. The porch is now a fun place and is accented by how the multiple levels highlight an inset around a beautiful Japanese maple tree.
The result of all the coordination and professional skills of the salesman, crew and owner of made for the completion of two extremely pleasing projects that added much value and appeal to my home. Without exception, I would recommend and their crews to anyone who wants a well designed and exceptionally well executed decking for their home or business."

"I contacted for the repair we needed and he came out the same day to evaluate the job. We had an itemized contract he completed within a week's time.
We gave him some challenges as to the timing of the project and the type of deck that needed repair. He patiently waited to get started to fit our schedule and then was up and down a ladder to accomplish the job. (To avoid creating any mess coming through the house).
The outcome is perfect. and completed all the support repair work needed and matched the boards they had cut and routed with the remaining deck. The whole deck was then painted with the paint he had mixed for it and matches beautifully. The project was completed during some very warm days all according to schedule.
I very much appreciate the work done by and even more how professionally conducts himself. He was always right on time and kept in contact by phone or e mail so I knew exactly what was happening with the project and what to expect."

"Garv was very professional and listened to my desires. He made suggestions that were sometimes used, and did everything he could to meet my expectations. The job took a little longer than first thought because Garv was working by himself at the time. During the job he expressed that it may his last carpentry job due to difficulty finding reliable help. Garv himself was very pleasant to work with. He definitely knows how to work with wood and the end result is beautiful."
