tested a few common trouble prone components and found nothing. Then he began tracing the wiring diagram. He had to remove interior panels to get to the components. He eventually tugged on a Y connection and found a broken wire. Evidently the viration eventually wore out the wire. A couple of wire nuts and the refrigerator was back working.
