"We asked for an estimate for a pretty decent sized project in our home for floor, trim work, and doors. He came on time and seemed very knowledgeable. With so many good ratings on Angie's List, we were excited that we thought we found a good contractor. He explained that he would send an estimate the next day, one week later still no estimate. We ...more called, he explained he would send it the next day. It has been another two weeks without out any word. This leaves us set back once again, having to research even more contractors for the job. We don't understand how or why there are so many good ratings for this contractor. All we can say is, you better have one heck of a job for this one or else he won't even get back to you!"

"Our initial experience was good?we got a quote immediately and set up the job. The contractors arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and got right to work. We approved a stain and they finished the floor and did the first coat on the first day. On the second day of work we saw that the stain had turned out quite a bit lighter than we ...more though; while we weren?t quite happy with it, we understand that wood flooring can take up stain in different ways. That second day the contractors finished and buffed the floor, installed new trim, and left it to dry. When it had dried a day later we found that there was quite a bit of dust and debris that had been caught in the finish, and that the finish was very rough across some of the floor. In addition, the trim that had been installed had a 1 inch gap behind a radiator. When we asked the contractors to return one of them seemed surprised that we had an issue with the trim being incomplete. After a resanding of the floor and refinishing the finish quality was much better, and the trim was then replaced to fill the entire space. Overall the project turned out alright but we were disappointed about the need to police obvious defects of quality."
