saw us as soon as we arrived and signed in. Checked all of our animals. Made sure to answer all of our questions. Gave appropriate vaccinations. Gave recommendations about pet care for each animal. When we were finished we payed at the front desk and got an easy to read print out of our visit that day and a receipt. Dr.

very courteous and helpful. Our many appointments have always been easy and pleasant. I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes to be seen by Dr.

"As anyone who has ever had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to a loved pet will know, it is a painful experience. From my first call to Dr.

I am giving all these details because I think it's so important for anyone reading this and having to make this decision that they know they can trust

the day following our appointment to report our cat had died after choking while trying to remove an obstruction from her throat that looks like a hair ball. Was told I would have to speak to the office manager who was not in this day. I left my name and number and asked that I receive a return call. The following day I waited but after so long, I called

. I told them that I felt I should have some of my charges refunded since we originally suggested to them

's problem was a hair ball and they said it was not. As it turned out, she passed away in less than 24 hours while chocking on a hair ball. The office manager started talking about a necropsy being performed in order to make this determination. She was rude and just kept repeating herself.

This is definitely not a nice place to go with your beloved pets, I found out afterward that they have over 800 complaints filed against them throughout various states. I do not understand why Angie's List did not have any complaints until mine. I am attaching a web site for anyone to copy and paste to see other people's experiences before taking your pet to

. She did the surgery that another doctor would not do until another episode. The surgeries were h****** my cat and I wanted to save him from the discomfort and he was having accidents outside the box(he had to be isolated for about 5 months and it was awful). It was a frustrating experience and another vet wanted to wait weeks to only remove the stone(it would have taken at least 6 weeks to have the

, but the other vet wanted to wait for a third stone). For the same price, I had a BOARD CERTIFIED SURGEON do the operation in a timely manner. She agreed that he 1) needed the operation asap 2) needed the

to prevent further episodes. I will never have any other surgery aside from spaying and neutering done by someone who is not a board certified surgeon. It would have caused me more heartache and put my cat through h*** to have someone drag their feet on this situation. She was fast, decisive, was very knowledgeable and took the situation very seriously. Bladder stones can be a fatal condition if not dealt with quickly. She had a great plan and ruled out several conditions before engaging in the surgery

licked around his cone and she quickly came up with a solution so he could not do so and the operation was a complete success!!
I am thrilled to say he has no further stones, no blood in his urine, no accidents and is his normal loving self. I am tearing up thinking of how grateful I am for her care.
She is not just a great surgeon, she also was so kind and caring. She calmed me down when I was afraid for my cat's life and went out of her way to reassure me. I am so glad I did not have to keep my cat isolated for months more, didn't have to deal with more accidents which I feared would never end, and did not have to put my beloved cat through another painful and stressful surgery. Plus it a ton of money to do the definitive treatment first!
If your pet needs surgery, have a board certified surgeon do the surgery. You want want your family doctor taking out your gallbladder...I won't go anywhere else for an emergency now. I am BEYOND PLEASED that she saved my cat.
"Dog ate chocolate and nuts and was basically on a caffeine high and could not process the whole nuts. We went in the middle of the night. I did not like it at all that we were unable to see the dog being treated. He was given something to puke, which helped him, but being taken to "the back" without the owner is not correct.
"I picked this vet based on location and other reviews. The appointment was on time and the doctor looked over my dog. He did a great job explaining what the next several puppy visits would entail.
"The staff at
Pittsburgh Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
are fantastic. They very patiently explained all the risks and benefits of dental surgery. My dog handled the surgery very well and has suffered no adverse reactions. I feel like all of the staff genuinely care about the well being of my dog. I will continue to take my dog to this practice.
"I have been known to overpay for vet service due to convenience. I heard nothing but positive things about
Pittsburgh Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Hospital so I decided to transfer my pet's records and try them out for his annual exam. SO GLAD I DID.
Firstly, they have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs (Cats, left. Dogs, right!). I got an earlier appointment on Saturday morning, and we walked in to an empty waiting room and within a minute of being there we were already being taken back to an exam room. The assistants are friendly and handled my pet (a 2 year-old Lab) well, asked many questions and provided treats. The main vet was prompt, efficient, complimentary and nice, making sure to ask many questions, thoroughly check my mutt over and made sure I didn't have any questions, and took time to answer those I did. Didn't feel rushed at all.
My dog got his necessary shorts, fecal testing, heart worm and flea/tick prevention prescription at a fraction of what I've paid elsewhere (a similar service last year with less medications cost me over $300!)
I couldn't ask for a more pleasurable vet experience. I will definitely bring him back there and I definitely recommend them in general.
"We were not delighted with our experience. On every visit, even if it was early in the morning, there was a long wait.
They have no electronic records and can't handle emails. All of our records from our previous vet, including x-rays, were electronic and the
Pittsburgh Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
couldn't handle them.
The real disappointment was the doctor's harsh bed-side manner. Ultimately, the
Pittsburgh Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
recommended we think about putting our cat down ASAP and got us in touch with a WONDERFUL hospice vet. The hospice vet visited with us, recognized that our cat had a little more time left, and helped us with a three week stretch of palliative care. Having moaned for several months, we just welcomed new kittens. There is no way we would bring them to the

"We have been taking our dog to
Pittsburgh Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
for several years. We initially started going there because it is very close to our home and we could walk our dog there In the past, we have been a bit uncomfortable around the vet because his manner is not very personable. Sometimes, this makes us feel like we should not ask questions or if we were an interruption. Instructions are given in a clipped manner. Also, the office is small. The staff seemed annoyed that our dog was barking a lot. She does not like other dogs at all. They were also annoyed that she kept getting off of the exam table/scale. That said, the actual care of our dog has been good. The vet and his staff are gentle and kind to our dog. Her medical condition was correctly diagnosed and treated with no complications. We might return as the care is good for warm and fuzzy pets, just not warm and fuzzy people."
