"When The new owner took over I had several appointments that I went to. I would show up for my appointments 10 minutes early. When I arrived I would wait at the" front desk for 30 to 45 minutes before any of the clerks would even speak to me. After checking in with the people at the front desk I waited three to 4 hours more before seeing a Vet. This happened with the first three appointments I went to after the new owner took over. I called the new owner and complained about this. He said he had no idea that this was happening and told me he would address it with his staff right away. The next few times I came in for an appointment they still would ignore you at the front desk but usually got to you after about 5 or 10 minutes. The wait to see the vet was usually about 45 minutes to an hour. The new owner replaced all the old staff with new staff. The new staff has a lot to learn about customer service. They are pushy and try to push you to do a lot of unnecessary visits and procedures that your pet does not need. My pets are on a special diet and when I got to pick up their food it is always a hassle. I call ahead of time so they can get it ready but when I go to get it they are scrambling to find it. One time they told me they had the food I needed and when I went to pick it up they told me they did not have any. I called as usual today to find out about getting a new bag and the person on the phone said if I wanted to get some I would have to schedule an appointment with a Vet because it has been almost a year since my cat has been in. It is October and they saw my Cat in January. Again they were being pushy and when I told them I did not like the way they do business they told me that I could either schedule an appointment over the phone or schedule one when I came in to get the food. My next door neighbor has also had them become pushy and arrogant with her. I tried to call the owner at Seven Fields to let him know this is not the way he should be doing business but have not heard back from him yet. This is no way to treat customers and they are reckless with your pets when you take them in, I refuse to deal with a Veterinarian who tries to convince you that you need stuff that is not needed and tries to pressure you into scheduling appointments when you do not need them. This place needs to learn how to treat its customers and stop overcharging.

" Dr. and her entire staff are absolutely fantastic. Her level of care exceeds that of a Dr./animal relationship. The entire staff shows" genuine care for animals, they are friendly and extremely professional.

Angie's Answers

?

Hi

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
?
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

The was very kind and caring. He explained that our dog was very sick and suffering. He talked to us and made sure we understood and accepted and then he sedated him. After that he injected drugs. 's head was on my lap and calm and peaceful. He looked asleep. Then he helped carry ...More out.
This was very very difficult for us but he made it a little easier as much as could.
We would highly recommend .

Vet was friendly and knowledgable, and was available for an appointment on short notice. Our normally calm cat gets extremely agitated at the vet and was too worked up to be examined. The vet laid out a range of alternative treatment options, sent us home w sedatives and re-booked us the next business day for a replacement visit at no additional charge. ...More She also arranged for multi-year shots to minimize number of future visits.

It was pretty terrible. Like with most pets, trips to the is always stressful. Normally, the cats just aren't big fans of going (though they tolerate it, with puffy tails and lots of shedding) and this year, I was going to have to take the two cats PLUS an infant with me. I don't have enough arms for all of that, so ...More we called to try their services out.
When the and tech arrived, they brought in their tools and set up shop in the living room, which was totally fine. I was expecting them to sit on the floor and get to know the cats for a couple of minutes, maybe getting in some pets and calming "conversations" before starting the exams, as most animals prefer to get to know new people prior to being touched and handled. The two vets we've gone to in the past have always done that...they talk to the cats and pet them for a bit before getting anything started. That didn't really happen. The tech did sit on the floor, but there wasn't much interaction between her and the cats outside of the cats sniffing all of her things. I was immediately asked for payment. Between the time I went to get our credit card and the time I came back, our laid back cat was hissing, growling, and clawing like I've never seen. we've had him for almost 10 years and he's never, ever reacted that way to us or anyone else he's been around, including his normal . They ended up putting a muzzle on him, which was pretty horrifying. I should have ended the appointment there, but by that point, I had a crying baby on my hip who was upset by the whole scene. They were finally able to give him his shots and I think they maybe listened to his heart, but he had no other examination because he just didn't want to be touched or handled by these strangers he had no to get to know. We still paid the full amount for his examination. When they were done with him, he got loose before they could get the muzzle off and ran into several things, hissing and shaking, because he was so upset by the whole situation. Totally unacceptable.
Our second cat was a little easier for them; she allowed them to examine her. Again, the muzzle came out for the shots. The way they handled her, too, was way more aggressive than I've ever seen her be handled before and I think that was a huge part of the problem. Our usual has me hold her legs, the tech holds her front paws and she does nothing more than growl.
Overall, the whole scene was very chaotic and atypical of our cats. The older male is usually very laid back, the younger female is kind of crazy but in a very playful way. Neither have ever had to be muzzled or held aggressively in order to be examined or given their shots. Maybe they just weren't into the whole in their home idea, but the whole visit just didn't feel right for anyone involved.
Both the and the tech were nice enough. I didn't feel like the was really hands on or that interested in our cats, but maybe that was just because it was a Friday afternoon, or she'd had a bad day. Who knows? I can't imagine that we'd do this again; from here on out we'll stick with their usual .

Not well. I am very upset with the high cost they charged. The care that my dog received was terrible compared to my other vet for my other dog. Greentree Animal hospital is expensive but the quality & care is exceptional the best service. Unfortunately service is lousy and the staff are terrible.

I cannot praise this place enough. I have worked as a vet tech in a previous job and have had experiences at numerous facilities here in Pittsburgh and blows them all out of the water. Key things that you should note about this place:
- They do NOT over charge
- They only recommend services/things that they genuinely ...More believe will help your pet, not their bottom line and they do not pressure you in any way
- They are respectful and genuine to you and your pet which is hard to come by nowadays
- Everyone from the front desk to the techs, to the vets are kind, patient and understanding. No condescension or poor attitudes, just positive energy all around.
- They have an online pet portal so you can track your pet's vaccinations/appointments and care.
- Dr goes above and beyond any vet I've ever met. He has shown so much care, professionalism, kindness and knowledge that I will gladly refer anyone with a pet to him because I know they will be in good hands and his fellow vets (Dr , Dr , and Dr ) are just as phenomenal.
Thankyou Veterinary for setting the bar where it should be for all Veterinary Care Facilities.

It was independently owned, and I guess in a year or so, they sold out on a company. They instigated on a lot of changes, some of them good, some of them not so good--I am very unhappy with the respect that they no longer have any veterinarians that I used. I don't know how that came about, but none of the same staff is there. They've got ...More a bunch of young veterinarians out there, I've been to the veterinarian twice since the change over and it's been okay but I was used to knowing the veterinarians. If I could find some place else, I would go there.

I've been unhappy with the our previous vet and was looking to make a change, and I selected the clinic based on others' reviews. I called on Thursday afternoon and was able to get in on Friday afternoon due to a cancellation. The staff was kind and courteous on arrival, and I only had to wait about fifteen minutes ...More to be seen by the doctor. Once back in the office, the doctor was a terrific listener, he quickly diagnosed the issue but then took the time to give the dog a full examination, including a tissue sample from a cyst on her tail. The doctor was incredibly warm and answered all questions very thoroughly. I was quite impressed. With the full examination, the tissue sample, a urine test, and a 10-day of antibiotics my bill was only $107.
