This was my experience and could be an isolated issue with vehicle type!
Truck work was completed in four days. The issue started when I was not provided a list of all parts fixed or any documentation besides a receipt. Once I pulled off the lot, noticed the transmission had a hard shift from 1st gear to 2nd. They said it was electrical work and they did not deal with electrical work. I had brought it to 2 Ford dealerships (
and
& Wind) and 1 other transmission shop in Gibsonia and none could identify it to be electrical. All pointed to transmission work. However no one would touch it because of lack of documentation unless they charged me full service to rebuild transmission from start.
I had stopped down Wiegands twice to explain issue but did not feel it was transmission issue and would be "Chasing their tails to fix the issue" I even stated I would pay labor cost to have this hard shift fixed. Still seemed to be inconveniencing them. I can not continue to call off and pay for rental cars at this point.
I will have the transmission rebuilt somewhere else once I have enough money.

came recommended from both Angie's list and a friend who is familiar with vehicles. They lived up to the expectations. They were able to take in my truck the same day I called. I called back the next morning, and approved the work. I never had to do transmission work before so I don't know if the price was good but it certainly was reasonable. They were excellent and I would use them again and recommend them.

I had noticed for about a month that my 2004 Toyota Matrix, Trixie, would rev higher for a moment just after upshifting, but I didn't know what that meant until my husband rode in the car with me and said, "Your clutch is slipping." I looked on Angie's List to find transmission repair places near us, since we just moved into the

Hills area from

Heights. Previously I had taken my car to the dealership,

Toyota on West Liberty Blvd, for inspections and repair, but I was disgruntled with them after they examined my left front brakes (which had been scraping) and told me nothing was wrong with them. Turns out the brake pads, once they were finally changed, were worn down to the metal.

Bill at

on
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
Road scheduled me for a diagnostic appointment. I brought Trixie in at the appointed time and hardly had to wait at all for Bill to be free. He took the car out for a short spin with me, and confirmed the problem right away. He gave me a basic lesson in how the clutch works and what happens when it wears out, then complimented me on having had the same clutch in the car for 98,000 miles - "so you must be driving it right." I was given an estimate of $750 and told they'd need to keep my car overnight. We arranged for me to bring it in two days later.

Partly to compare prices and partly out of curiosity, I called my dealership & left a message asking them to quote me a price on a new clutch. Later that day my confused husband got an email reminder of our appointment there. It took another phone call & two more emails to actually get the quote and cancel the appointment they spontaneously made. And their quote? $1400. So

it was.

I brought the car in at 8.30 on a Thursday morning, and was surprised to receive a call from Bill at 6.30 that day saying that the car was ready, and I could pick it up that evening if I got there before 8. We decided to wait till the next morning. Bill also apologized that the price would be $800 rather than the $750 quoted. Still cheaper than $1400! Throughout the whole process, Bill was polite, professional and cordial, and he even gave me some tips on how to make the new clutch last longer.

I noticed the difference from the new clutch right away. Trixie drives like a different car now. I haven't stalled out and peeled out this much since I was learning to drive a stick! Bonus: at least some of her worsening "no torque" problem has been resolved. I would definitely use

again, and recommend them to others!

Received a quick, next-day estimate, including discussion of other possible issues (aside from transmission problem) that might affect value of repair. Detail was provided (what was wrong, which parts were at fault, what corrective action needed to be taken). Contact with "
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
" was very friendly and prompt. They seemed to often work late hours and were responsive to my calls. Actual work done met estimate--additional engine issue was addressed at small additional cost. Work did take over 2 weeks to complete. So far, I'm very happy with the work--the vehicle runs well.

They are all family owned and operated and they are completely honest. I was taking my Saab to a really expensive dealership that wanted to replace the entire radiator. My friend referred me to
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
and they ended up just replacing a part on the radiator for $80, which saved me a lot of money.

I made multiple appointments to get this fixed and a couple other minor things on my vehicle but I was blown off more than 3 times and one of those times i waited for 6 hours to get a tow by him when my brake line broke and my truck was not drivable only to figure out he was not coming and I wasted an entire day waiting to get towed and he never showed or called. Long story short I haven't heard from him since the day he left me hanging and I have had to pay another mechanic to fix the problems he didn't finish and the ones he created, and the ones he never got too. I would not recommend him to anybody, especially if you are counting on your vehicle to make your living, and you expect it to be completed in a timely manner and it's not.

What a great experience! Pep Boys Monroeville gave us a list of diagnostic problems that came up on their system. They recommended

Monroeville and we took the list of problems to them.
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
was honest and told us that they could only really fix 1/3 problems, they quoted us a price AND gave us a $200 coupon! They were fast, friendly and honest.

had extended the warranty on this transmission to be seven years or one hundred thousand miles. We did not have that many miles on the van so they were able to get
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
to pay for the new transmission. They are just great. I really was surprised that they would go that extra mile for us. I am so glad that we took it there. They are very helpful and are up to date on the news in the auto industry.

My car's transmission basically blew a gasket or valve on a recent camping trip and began dumping all of its fluid onto the pavement. Going up a hill, I realized this and pulled over, only to see the puddle and line of fluid running back as far as I could see. I eventually had it towed to
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
after a dealership quoted me a minimum of $2000.
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
took about a week, mostly, I understand, because the transmission was completely shot and they had to get a rebuilt one shipped to them. I am very satisfied with their work, the car runs well and there's a 1 year warranty on the transmission.

After having my 20 year old Ford towed to
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
, I was told by
Pittsburgh Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
, what was going to be done. I met with the mechanic and he removed the transmission, reconditioned it, changed the motor and transmission oil and a few other services that I requested. Upon the recommendation of the manager, the vehicle was then towed to a automotive service for engine work and inspection.
