"During the process they pointed out that one of the cast iron drain
pipes was leaking into the basement ceiling, but they did not say it
needed attention. I wish they had stressed the importance of fixing
that as well, because now (May, 2011) I'm dealing with a larger problem
involving that leaky pipe, which has supported mold growth in other rooms. "

"Basement drain backed up, and my regular plumber (Rich Dodaro) was on
vacation so I went to the next name on the list and called . He
came that very afternoon and promptly fixed the problem. Great service,
great company."

"They schedule quickly, come on time, and are very professional. They are consistently courteous and take care to cover their shoes with covers whenever the enter your house. They tell you in advance exactly what the service or product will cost. Their charges may be slightly higher than others might charge, but we think they are worth the difference. We have used their services for decades."

"We were red-tagged by the gas company and without gas due to a leak in our line somewhere from our in home meter to the . This occurred on a Friday, so we tried phoning various plumbers over the weekend in order to obtain emergency service. We had no luck so became upset at the fact that even though every single plumber advertised immediate emergency service 24/7, no one wanted to actually do it. However, plumbing was very prompt in calling us back, confident in his skill, and promised to do the repair on Monday. (The other plumbers that actually did arrive to give an estimate were not sure at all at what to do. ) and his crew of two (T.J. and ) arrived on time and were complete professionals. From start to finish, we felt in good hands and they performed a quick, neat job. Luckily they were able to do the repair without tearing up the sidewalk or yard. even assisted in getting the gas company to come out sooner than normal to get the service turned on. We are very happy with their service and would use them again."

" was very nice. He came first to inspect what was needed for the job, same day as the call. Next day he came, installed both filters and left everything in a clean condition. The cost included some adaptors."

" arrived promptly. He was extremely professional and courteous. He worked diligently until job was completed. You could tell that he was very knowledgeable about his job. Was satisfied with price. This company is definitely on our list to call again if we have any problems or work to be done. "

"I called three plumbing companies to perform the dye test, which I needed to be done quickly. My township requires a dye test even for refis, so I needed to get one done before my 45 day locked rate was gone. The first plumber called me back and said he'd been sued after a dye test and wouldn't do one again but referred me to another plumber. I called him Monday, April 25th, and he didn't call me back until Thursday, the 28th. In the meantime I had contacted two other companies that didn't call me back, either. So I called my township office to get a recommendation. He told me to call . He said he'd be prompt and reasonable. I called him and left a message, and he called me back within an hour. Ironically one of the other plumbers called me back and quoted me $100 while another gentleman in the background yelled, 125! And he corrected himself. The township office said not to pay over $100 for the test, so I declined and called back. He said he estimated around $85, could come to the house tomorrow, AND I didn't need to be home if I had a hose hooked up outside. He said he'd put a bill in the door. I'm tickled. Oh, and he was only $75. So not only did he call me right back, but he came the very next day and was even less than his estimate. Wow!! I'm very pleased and grateful that I could get it done in time to get my refi moving along."

" I took the day off work, and two plumbers arrived - not the guy who gave the estimate (red flag #1). The job took them longer than they expected, and they ran into a "few problems". As the end of the day rolled around, I got a story about a "defective part" in my waste and overflow setup for my tub, and they didn't install the new valve next to my hot water heater. So, I was left with a leaking drain (unusable shower) while a new part came in to replace the "defective" one.
Tonight I personally went in to change out the part - and the plumbers didn't apply teflon tape to one of the interconnections, which allowed the waste and overflow setup it to leak. If they would have taken their time and paid attention to the details, i would have had a working shower and had everything I paid for completed. I won't be using this firm in the future, and I recommend you do the same.
I have to update this report based on my experience over the last two days. On Thursday evening I discovered the problem with the drain and wrote the original report (above). On Friday, the owner of this business called me to discuss what I had wrote. He told me that his "professional" plumbers checked and made sure it was a soldier joint - rest assured it was not. The owner asked if I had the "old part", to which I told him yes. He then told me that "I will be out to fix it", which, having already felt I fixed it, declined. He then proceeded to get into an argument with me about how I had "attitude" and "couldn't be pleased".
On Saturday I went to test the drain, and was happy to find my drain was working properly. In doing so, I had to turn on the valve to let water into the tub. I had purchased a thermostatic valve, which consists of a valve body, cartridge, and trim pieces. The thermostatic valve has two handles, one for flow, and one for temperature. In doing my drain test, I found that I was not getting any hot water. I checked the shutoff valve to ensure it was open, and it was. I then proceeded to take apart the entire trim piece, and discovered that the cartridge was installed in the body upside down, preventing hot water to flow properly. Upon further inspection, I found that the valve body was NOT SCREWED TO THE WALL - held only in place by the copper supply lines. A registered master plumber would not have missed these basics and the important details.
I just managed to fix all these problems myself and the valve is working perfectly. A key factor in choosing them was because of their high ratings on Angie's List, but my experience does not reflect the majority of ratings. In my experience and opinion, it was because the two guys doing the job were in a hurry. The plumbers who did the job and the owner are anything but "professional"."

"I can't speak to 's work but he's a tremendiously professional person. I also felt very confident in his advice, etc. UnfortunatlyI found out that in addition to the work I've budgeted for, i'm also going to have to do a Roof. Becuase of this I needed to save some cost. 's qutoe was vastly more than any other contractor, however I get the feeling that he's worth it for those who want the best!"
