"The movers were on time and the start of the move went smoothly. Our remaining things (we had packed & moved quite a bit of it ourselves beforehand) were packed" professionally on the 18th and were to be moved to our new home on the 19th...so we thought. Honestly, I do believe that the movers went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with the service but it fell apart. We had went to the old house on the 19th to see to things were going, which was fine so we left the movers around 1 pm to do their work but before we left, I did ask for an estimated time when they thought they would arrive. which I was told a few hours later and I was fine with that. 7:30 that night my things had still not arrived so I got on the phone to call the owner and got the answering machine twice, left messages begging for the owner to call me but no return calls came until Monday evening when it was time to collect. I had also gotten the cell number for one of the movers so I called it....no answer the 1st time so I left a message. About a half hour later, returns my call, sounding half dead...I felt sorry for him and the rest of the guys so I suggested (not insisted) that they hold off on delivery until the next day. Turned out that lied to the rest of the crew saying that I refused delivery until the next day (which was not true) and they should pack it in and go home for the night. Monday afternoon, our things finally arrive but I was told that not everything was on the truck but not to worry. The bedrooms were setup and the boxes were put where they needed to go and the "move" finished around 7:30 that night with me buying dinner for the guys. The Owner finally called me to settle up on my bill and apologized for falling asleep and not hearing the answering machine, apologized for the miscommunication and the inconvenience my husband and I went through but did not offer to take anything off my bill....I insisted on and took $200 off which he agreed to, bringing my total to $2,149 which I paid in cash. In the conversation, the owner offered to go back to the house to get the rest of our things free of charge which I turned down because I didn't think at the time that it was so much and I could handle it myself. My question is....You got two panicked calls from me Sunday night...Why did it take another full 24 hours to return ANY of my calls when we had no clue where our things were and if it was safe?? Did you sleep 24 hours? I don't think so.....It was just too much effort for you and you couldn't have cared less to be completely blunt. The next day, my husband and I went back to the old house to see what was left and were shocked....pieces that I had insisted were moved were left inside the house..my printer that I use in my business was left in a black garbage bag in the behind the house in the along with other items, enough to fill the and backseat of my car. There was so much left that we had to rent a UHAUL and hire someone else to get it out which we finally did on 10/23. In the days later, we discovered that my husband's Oxycontin medication that he needs to live, was taken from his dresser during the move in on 10/20. No one but the movers were in the house so it narrows it down as to who did the "borrowing". They took 26 20 mg pills and was "kind" enough to leave him 8 pills to make it on nearly a week until it was time for the next refill. My 91 year old husband had to suffer nearly a week at the hands of these people. This medication was supplied by the VA so I had to file a mandatory police report to get the VA to replace the pills, which they finally did do. The owner was called BEFORE the VA was and was told exactly what I had to do and he told me to do what I needed to do and that he would do some checking but he had his suspicions who might have taken the pills....YEAH RIGHT...He has yet to pick up the phone and call me. What a way to run a business! I really hated to have to write such a negative review but I'm not going to lie either. I don't lie in my arts business which I've run for 32 years and I won't lie to save someone's a**. What happened is the absolute truth... I couldn't make this stuff up.....my imagination isn't that good. Can I honestly recommend this moving company to anyone after our hellish experience? NO!!!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! don't try to save a few bucks...you'll be sorry you did.

"For each move you are given a coordinator, who in my case, was very easy to reach whenever I had a question or an issue. She helped me make sure that I had all" of the necessary paperwork completed, arranged with my employer for payment and checked in before and after the move to make sure I was happy with everything. The actual movers were great as well. They are responsible for your items when they are loaded into their truck (if something happens to your things it comes out of their paycheck) so they are very careful with all of your items, when they are picking them up and dropping them off. In my case they were also very kind and went above and beyond to move items for me and repack a few things. The only issue I had with the company was the sales person. However, I learned that the sales people are hired as outside sales people and are not actually part of directly. He promised me a lot of things that did not happen for my move. I much prefer someone to be honest about the company and what it is capable off - not lied to just so that I use that company. ended up being the best company for my move - despite the sales person.

Don't think of it as necessary because movers are paid low wages.  Tipping is always optional.  Some service industry's normally see tips, such as food service and moving.  Others such as plumbing and painting do not.  Why?  I don't know.

Generally, our movers are tipped and the prospect of a tip I believe keeps them moving with "a sense of urgency".

If you feel that the movers are already getting paid, and they are... you don't have to tip.  Some people that receive a service like to recognize service that is above normal with a tip.

Either way we hope your move went well.

If you desire to attempt to save Dollars, offer the buyer a Discount , a % OFF the settling price  to accomodate New carpet installation . Typically the carpet is replaced  and floors REfinished , to present the house you are selling at the best possible appearance , not showing the wear of your stay there.

Think about IT , which house would you rather BUY ?

A home with  New Flooring , or one where you see every  scratche and stain left by the former Owners ?

Discount the sell price  ,DO NOT Refinish the Floors at all and Sell  AS IS ,  or  refinish and install NEW CHEAP CARPET !

Working with . was a pleasure. , who will come out to give you an estimate, is one of the friendliest guys you'll talk to all week. He warned us we were right on the of needing two trucks, told us what to move ourselves to make it work in one, and he was spot on. The truck ...More was filled to the limits, with just a few miscellaneous items for us to take ourselves. His cost estimate was also spot on, and in fact final cost came in just under his estimate- always a delight.
The crew was great. Seemed a little terse at first, but after things warmed up they were joking and friendly as can be. And of course helpful all the way through. knows how to load a truck and will make sure things are done right and efficiently. Overall, I can't imagine our move going better.

AWESOME....AWESOME....AWESOMW!!!! I had three movers show up, the weather was horrible (rain) but that did not them. All three of them were very professional but NOT snooty. Was able to conversate with them when I needed to and they were not put off. Wrapped everything (even if I said it was not needed. The move was not easy ...More yet they got furniture out that needed to get out. I would Highly recommend them again. Thanks to Bill, , and . Funny, energetic, and most of all efficient. They made my move easy. Great Job!!!! A+++++++ rating in my book.

I am sad that contacting this company did not go as anticipated. Based on the solid reviews, I was looking forward to working with them. Unfortunately, when I called, they were unable to do a quote over the phone and could not send someone out for 8 days. I explained that I had a baby due in 6 days and asked if I could be called that morning to confirm, ...More in the event we were still in the hospital. I was trying to be honest up front so no one would waste their time. The woman said that was not possible and that I could call back once we were home.
I reminded her that we were looking to move within a month, so if I waited to contact when I got home from the hospital and then had to wait an additional 7+ days for the estimate, we would be looking at getting a quote a week before our desired move in. She said that was all they could do.
I understand this is a different situation, but I was more perplexed that a company wouldn't understand the restraints being put on us making us wait until we were less than a week away from a move to get a quote.

These movers were fantastic! They were on time, worked very hard for the entire time, and kept up an amazing pace even given awkward furniture or difficult Pittsburgh steps. Not a single thing was damaged. They're very good about asking questions for what goes and what doesn't and where things go when you get to the other end. I strongly ...More recommend them, and would hire them again in a heart beat.

The deal is a gimmick. They have no intention of letting you get your quoted job done for the price of the deal. They spend exorbitant amounts of time painstakingly padding and shrink wrapping every single item you have--even the old, broken, IKEA dresser that you don't care at all about, even after you tell them to STOP doing that and that it's ...More wasting time. They still insist. They will also tape shut every single box you have even though you've closed them neatly and you're only moving 1 mile down the road. It's all designed to take up time so they can charge you more since they are paid by the hour.
Also, I was supposed to have 4 movers for 3 hours. One of the movers showed up a full hour late, so I only had 3 movers for the first hour. As a consequence, my move ran 30 minutes over the planned 3 hours. Instead of just calling it even, they charged me for the extra 30 minutes, deducting only 20 dollars for the hour of missing mover. Had the 4th mover been there the entire first hour, the move would have been completed on time, but the owner refused to honor that.
The only good thing that I will say is that the guys doing the work were very friendly and courteous and professional. It's a shame that they work for such an unscrupulous business.
DO NOT hire this company if you want honest pricing with no tricks.

were great. They sent a sales rep to my home to view the extent of our things to be moved. The representative was informative and professional. They were able to work with me in ways that another company was not. For example, when I got my estimate, I was still trying to determine if our buyer would allow us an extra day ...More in the house post-closing. If not, we may have needed to pack our things up, store them overnight on the truck, and then move them into our new house the next day after both closings. said no problem - it would be a charge of $400 or so (due to the extra transportation cost, etc.). I also got an estimate from Two Men and a Truck - and they said storing overnight would double the charge of the move (in other words, you pay for two moves).
I lived on a busy street, so ' sales rep. noted right away that the parking of the truck on the street could be a problem. He advised I contact the local police regarding any regulations for blocking the street. I did - and learned that flaggers would be required. did all of the work of arranging for the off-duty-police flaggers. They added it into their bill and I was able to just pay one fee at the end.
The people called me to confirm the move was reserved, called me again about a week previous to the move, and then called me the day before. They were great about communication.
On the day of the move, the guys showed up on time. They introduced themselves. They were professional and worked hard. They were genuinely nice guys. We sat down to each lunch with them when the time came - and they were very pleasant to talk with.
They were very careful with everything and even re-packed a few things we did not pack well. Once they unloaded the whole truck, they asked us to take a walk around the house with them, so that we could have them rearrange anything that we thought was out-of-place. They did move a few things after I changed my mind about what room they should go in - and they were entirely pleasant about it.
They finished up right on time and presented the itemized bill, with all items (including the police flagging, the time spent on lunch break, etc) professionally laid out, at the end of the day.
They were great. And I can't think of anything bad to say. It's some of the best money I have ever spent.
