Reviews for Pittsburgh Lawn Services
In May of 2014, I noticed some bare spots and called to request some extra grass seed. TruGreen was very nice over the phone and said they could do that. The technician who came out to do the next application did not remember the grass seed. I called a couple weeks later and they said someone would come out, but it would have to be a manager. The manager never called back. Meanwhile, I got a bill for the regular service performed by the technician for $20.
When I called to ask about the bill, they said my account "ran out" of money. Apparently, the initial contract was not explained correctly and it was really only good for 5 applications plus the initial seeding, aeration and grub control. After speaking to customer service, they took the $20 off my account and were "nice" over the phone but would have to charge me for a new year if I wanted to continue service. I tried to speak to the service manager and customer service a couple more times-- but got the same story: It was NOT a year contract, but a "seasonal" contract and the balance ran out (as they subtracted each $42 lawn application). I canceled my service instead of continuing with a new contract since I think that is too expensive and the communication was very misleading.
