My experience is detailed below, but my primary frustration with this contractor is:
- MAJOR SCHEDULING ISSUES
- TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT OF CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS
- NICE GUYS, BUT PAINT ON MY FLOORS, PRIMER SHOWING THROUGH ON WALLS IN SOME PLACES AND SOME DRIPS
Our crew was scheduled to paint on Wednesday, June 18th and I was told they would arrive around 8am. I texted
, the franchise owner, shortly before 9am when the crew did not arrive. He said they should have been there and would call to find out where they were. He texted me after 11am to see if they had arrived. They had not.
called later that afternoon to let me know that they had gone to the wrong job and would be at my house the next day. He said he would send 4 guys and knock it out.
On Thursday, June 19th, our first painter did arrive around 8am. Very nice man. The second painter arrived closer to 9am. No other workers came. I asked if I needed to put down drop cloths on the new hardwood floors or tile that had just gone in. They assured me that they would take care of that. They worked until 4pm and said they would be back the next day to finish. They came back the next day and finished painting.
After they were done on Friday, June 20th, they asked if I was satisfied. I took a look around the walls and ceiling, but did not pull up the drop cloths. After a brief walk through each room, it looked good. I wrote the check and said thank you.
Over the weekend, I had a better
to look at the paint job and pull up the drop cloths. In several places, our brand new hardwood floor had not been carefully covered and we had paint splatters (some big drops and some roller sprays). There were also several places were the paint did not quite cover the wall and the primer was showing through. Near our vanity in the master bath, they cut in once, but rolled close to the cut in twice, so there was a visible difference in color saturation. I sent a note to
on Monday, June 23rd and sent him photos and the same info I have detailed above requesting that these minor things be resolved. Overall, I was still pleased at this point because I thought this would be easy for them to take care of and the bulk of the work was done.
responded quickly and said he would schedule one of the guys from our crew back out to touch up and clean up the floors. He said he would make it right.
We are now 3.5 weeks from the date he promised to make it right and we are still waiting for this to be resolved.

After that promise to resolve on June 23rd, I had to reach out to
on
1st to see when we were on the schedule. The response I got was "Sorry he has been stuck on a job in Fox Chapel. I will send him when he is free." No date and no approximate timing on the resolution. On
8th, I texted
again and asked if the painter could come the following week since we had family in town for 3 days (not that we were in the queue). He said, "Yes will Monday work" and we said that would be great. When Monday arrived, I texted
at 9:40am since our painter had not arrived. No response. I texted again at 12:15pm and asked if he was coming that day since I had pushed another contractor to Tuesday so the painting could be resolved on Monday as scheduled. At 1:15pm,
texted me to say that the painter was, in fact, coming that day and he was leaving where he was at early to head to our place. At 5pm that day, I texted
because it was obvious no one was coming and when could I expect someone to come resolve these issues. No response. On Wednesday,
16, I sent
a note again asking him to please let me know when someone could come out. He said he would call his painter and have him call me directly. I am still waiting on that call.
This could have been a positive experience. A more timely response and resolution to the issues that were quickly identified would have left me a satisfied customer. Instead, the situation is ongoing frustration since we have been waiting on this to move into our new addition. Clearly, we are no longer a priority with our payment complete and new clients crowding Wow1Day painting's queue. I waited a fair amount of time to submit this review hoping that they would come through for me on these issues.

responded within minutes to my request for a quote. He set up appointment for the next day and arrived on time. He explained what products he would use and how certain repairs would be made. His quote arrived by email that evening. They were able to start the job the next week. They arrived on time and got to work right away. They were flexible with me adding on extra rooms at the last minute. I was very happy with the work the painters did and they were all so pleasant to talk to. I would hire them again without hesitation.

was able to squeeze my job in with short notice. He was very responsive and open throughout the whole process. He and his team showed up promptly at 8am. While he had to run to another job until about 1pm, his two employees did a great job. After two coats of paint for the walls, ceilings, and trim, they were all done and cleaned up by 3:30 as

had stated they would be. I would definitely recommend

Guys showed up on time and worked hard to get the job done in the short time frame. Worked around walls being painted already with no issues. Will be working with them for future exterior painting.

I was very pleased with the work they did. They were here about four and a half days and were very professional. Showed up on time and were very helpful in moving the furniture and all window dressings. They were very organized in their work and all seemed to go smoothly. Very helpful in suggesting colors and type of paint to be used. Clean up after a room was done was fantastic. They left the house everyday with everything in place in the room they were painting.
They always returned my calls in a timely manner and were very cooperative in scheduling the days they would be here. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their house painted.

and his crew did an excellent job.
Pittsburgh Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
first gave us great ideas during the initial walk through, and was able to be flexible with our schedule. For the job, they did a great job removing wallpaper border, repairing the wall, and painting in our dining room. The main job was the kitchen though. We wanted all of our cabinets, including the island, to go from brown oak to white, without the grain showing through. They took everything off, sanded it down, applied primer and 2-3 coats of paint, and put everything back. It looks great. This was all they were originally supposed to do, but we added on more and more and they were very happy to complete them, and at a very reasonable cost. They added new handles/knobs to all cabinets, replaced the hinges, replaced our kitchen light fixture, patched and painted the ceiling where the holes were, and cut 2 doors for us that were rubbing after getting new carpet. They even made 2 trips to home depot for us. They did an excellent job keeping the mess contained to where they were working, and did a very thorough cleaning after. They also gave us a number of tips and pointers for the future and to take care of our new look kitchen. The only thing that would have been better would have been a little more notice on when they were coming, but I understand that they go from project to project and was warned in advance this may be the case. Overall, they did an excellent job, and this was our 3rd time using
Pittsburgh Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
. Also, the final price was exactly what was quoted, plus the additions we made. We will definitely use them again in the future.

got back to me in a timely manner and scheduled the job for a day when they had downtime on their outdoor jobs. The plasterer arrived promptly at 8 AM, fixed all of the plaster problems that I pointed out, and cleaned up afterwards. The plastering looked OK, although some of it could have been a bit smoother.

Very responsive. Needed kitchen painted right away since we wanted to list our house for sale. Got an estimate to us quickly, and was able to squeeze us in on a Saturday which we appreciated very much. They worked very quick. It would have taken me 3-4 full weekends to do what they did in 1 day with 3 guys. We had 1 other estimate which was more, but if we had time, curious to see where other estimates would be. I have a feeling we paid for the fact they could do it quickly, which was OK because of our particular circumstance. The price did include paint. So, I gave price a B. Attention to detail was good, although 2 of the 3 windows I can't open now, not sure if this is a byproduct of painting quickly or not. I may just need to take a blade to them. Overall, if I was in a rush to paint, I would use them again. If I had a lot of time, I would probably just paint myself which is what I normally do.

I found myself so busy with work and normal activities I had
little or no time for some home projects so I went on Angie’s list and found
what I thought was a Big Deal. I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for 4 Hour
wall paper removal ($99.00) for my 2nd floor hallway. I though great
this could work out. I contacted the provider and requested an appointment. I
was surprised when he advised he needed to see the job first as I thought the
job should only take a couple of hours.
They scheduled an AM appointment
and I took off work to meet them. When they showed up at 4:15 PM he seemed like
he had little or no interest in doing job. Several days later I received an
e-mail estimate for well more than I expected. In fact they offered only the
big deal offer value of $200.00 and quoted $700.00 for paper removal and 550.00 for painting. Based
on providers information the job will take 12 hours to remove wall paper plus
some materials I though the amount was very high for work being performed.
I contacted several other Angie’s list contractors and was
given prices for less than $400.00 total for same work. Based on the estimate
and information provided I requested a refund.
I would not advise purchasing the 4 Hour wall paper removal
Big Deal as it truly is not a Big Deal. In fact it is only a$200.00 value for
something that is much overpriced and the deal should be removed from Angie’s
List.
