Interior Design Reviews in Pittsburgh

I didn't want it to look like I had gone to a big box store. I also wanted the room to fit the style of my home, which was built in 1949 and still has a lot of the charm from that time. She consulted with me and she really listened and came up with ideas and products that fit perfectly. After I approved everything she ordered everything so it would be here on time and met with my contractor so she would know when he needed everything at my home.
She did a fabulous job! She helped me to get out of my comfort zone and choose items I probably wouldn’t have if I were doing it on my own.
The bathroom looks great and I am so happy with the service she provided. I will definitely call
when I have another design project to do.

I am thrilled with the work completed by B & M Home Improvements!
In the Fall of 2011, I hired B & M to remodeled both of the bathrooms in my house.
, from B & M, was extremely helpful in design ideas. He spent multiple evenings at various Home Improvement stores picking tile, and going over designs.
He and his team worked quickly and professionally to complete both bathrooms in a couple weeks. When the job was done, I very happy with the results. He and his team showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves.
A year later when I was looking to remodel my kitchen and mudroom, I once again hired B & M to do the remodeling. Once again,
was extremely helpful with ideas on maximizing the space in the two rooms.
came up with ideas to open the room by making a cathedral ceiling, utilizing space in the corner for a built in desk, and turning wasted space in the adjacent garage into a much needed mudroom.
Once again, B & M did a fantastic job! I will absolutely hire them for any remodeling needs I have in the future.

The kitchen renovation went very well.

I liked a lot of the design suggestions and went with the paint suggestions. I also liked the ideas for fabrics. I waited a reasonable amount of time to get the suggestions back. I was also able to take advantage of discounts.

After just purchasing a new house, I called
Pittsburgh Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
to help with the design. She was easy to contact, and quickly scheduled a visit at an off-time to accommodate my work schedule. She listened closely to the ways that I wanted to use the room. I tend to have trouble describing what designs I like, but I know them when I see them.

would find things that seemed to fit me perfectly, even though I wasn't sure how she knew. She has a great way of finding several different choices, then helping making the final decision. She guided the re-decorating from the beginning to the end, helping to call furniture makers and others to ensure that everything was being done on time. I would recommend

whole-heatedly to anyone.

I called to ask for an estimate on interior painting .
Pittsburgh Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
herself called back within a day. Very friendly and promised to see me the next day. Said she works by herself now and has painters who are ready to do the job . Unfortunately she did not show up for her appointment. I called to remind her but have not heard back since then.

I found
Pittsburgh Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
on Angie?s List and she had good ratings, so... I called
Pittsburgh Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
in the middle of my kitchen remodeling project because I didn't have the time to manage contractors etc. I was really looking for a designer with project management skills. At the time she was brought on (early March) my kitchen was completely demolished. This was an insurance claim, which she was aware of upfront.

wanted to be paid her entire fee upfront $2k. No way I could do that, so we agreed on a timeline of payment which I thought would sync with my project. Well it didn't. We were still at step one and she was sending ?gentle? reminders for payment. Zero work had been done and very little of the work she was contracted for was complete. I decided to pay her in good faith. Well, at about the same time I was releasing payment I received an email from
Pittsburgh Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
which was intended for her friend, the kitchen designer, bad mouthing me about trying to "control the budget by not paying her." She had other unpleasant things to say, such as that I was ?all over the map? and had designer taste etc. The latter is true I do have designer taste, but...it?s my home ? shouldn?t I? The truth is I was *very clear headed* about what I liked and because my criteria didn't match the inventory of her friend's cabinet selection at the price point I needed, she tried to blame me. Instead she should have said, let's go to another place to order cabinets because there is no selection that you like here in your price point. She wanted me to settle ? no way! On a humbug, I went to Home Depot to look at their selection of cabinets and wouldn?t you know I found MANY options I liked even more than what her friend offered. I got a quote from HD - they came in over 4K less than the her friend (designer/cabinet vendor). Seems strange, right? In any case, she is also passive aggressive about the things that she likes. Like slab drawers and stainless steel faucets etc. Luckily, I know what I like so that didn?t matter too much. So, after I received

's back-biting email, I sent it back saying, I don't think this was intended for me. Three hours later she responded "Sorry". That's it! I couldn't believe her lack of professionalism in this regard. I was willing to continue working with her, but her lack of humility and poor handling of the situation sealed her fate. I still paid her $1500 (the total contract was for $2000) and really all I got was...a reference for a kitchen designer/cabinet vendor (he was good). I did order from him because he was willing to fight for my business and frankly, I thought he deserved it -- after all, he did all the work. I actually waited for weeks after she received my payment to see if she had the integrity to send a partial refund or to even *call* to say, "I know I screwed this up, but..." Instead she sent an email excusing her poor manners, "standing by her email." Are you kidding me?

I was moving from a multi-level, more contemporary home to a 120 year old 3 story home in
Pittsburgh Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
. We worked on everything from all new paint colors, wallpaper and window treatments for all three floors. Although we used all of my existing furnishings, I needed several new pieces to accommodate the additional space. This project would have taken me years to complete because I also have two young sons and a full time job.
Pittsburgh Interior Designers Provider Name Locked
kept me at task and I never felt overwhelmed. More importantly, I never second guessed any of my decisions.

She is excellent. She helped me select colors for the kitchen and dining room. She helped me transition from a color that we thought we really liked in the dining room to a color that was very similar to it. At first we were skeptical, but when we saw it, it was perfect. She really knows her stuff.

I only originally asked her to design the room and was going to use workers of my own choosing, but she insisted her workers were better. She has had no response to the issues. Her prices were way too high and she wasn't listening to my input as she had made up her own mind of what she wanted. She always ran late and I had to accommodate my time around her.
