"They answered questions well when they came out to do the estimate. They took pretty good care of our house. They laid stuff to cover the carpet. In general they seemed to treat our house like it was their own. They were professional and the rate was reasonable. The workers were in and out pretty quickly. They were friendly guys. It was a cold snowy day and they were very nice about how they handled the job because they had a hard time getting into our driveway. They were not cranky about it or anything. The experience was positive. They were definitely punctual and we didn?t have any problems with them. "

"Overall, services went very well. They were insured and also very courteous. Came at the specified time and leave when they say they will, took about a week to finish the work, very punctual. They were also reasonably priced."

" has worked for us before. This time, as usual, he came, looked the work over, and gave us a detailed estimate for each part of the job. He also estimated the water damage repair after it occurred. He was forthright as usual in terms of what repairs should and should not be done and how they should be done, in terms of the best use of money. When he and his crew came, they worked hard and cleaned up well. The bulk of the work was done in a two-day period in Feb., then a one week period in late March. The work has all turned out perfectly. We are very pleased. In addition, they clean everything up well and are very friendly."

"In a way, I had two experiences with . I was quite pleased with the work ethic of the company (the secretary , foreman , and owner ), but not so much with the salesman handing our project, . He didn't sell the product, it sold itself.
It was rather difficult to arrange an initial meeting with to determine if our exterior walls were adequate for their product. One thing after another kept coming up, some was just bad luck (car accident on the way over to the house), the rest was just poor customer service (forgetting a scheduled appointment). We really wanted to have our walls insulated, and since this was the only company capable of providing it, and their product is superior to other insulation (which we didn't have that option, because our house is a seam brick), we continued to try to work with to get the job done.
The insulation crew did a good job and I am happy with the decision to insulate the walls. The home already feels more comfortable and I am looking forward to future heating savings.
Only a few issues that came up with the job:
-Foam is invasive, and ended up pushing through an outlet. After it was dried, the outlet wasn't working any longer. Again, working with on this was a bit of a run around. In the end, I called the company to try to resolve this issue. was very understanding and prompt to address my concerns. came the same day to install two new outlets.
-There were also 3 patches needing smoothed over and 2 missed holes to fill. came out the next day and fix those issues.
-The last concern was a broken rain barrel. I am not sure how or when it occurred, but noticed this after doing a walk around the house after the job. I brought this up with , explaining that I wasn't sure how it happened, etc. He didn't even want to entertain the idea that it could have possibly happened during the work. This was rather frustrating. However, the rain barrel is being fixed by the organization that sold me the barrel.
Had been more responsive, I would have given an A+. They have a great product (and price), good insulation team, and the willingness to ensure customer satisfaction. In the end, I'll be living with the rewards of having an insulated home and that makes me happy. "

"We did a gut remodel on a mostly masonary house in Squirrel Hill. We made many of the exterior walls thicker with 2x4s and firring strips so we could make the home more energy efficient.
Foam is mess and we were not counseled at all on how to prep the house for the installation. Consequently, we spent 10's of hours cleaning foam from plaster, hardwood floors, exhaust fan ducts, HVAC ducts and electrical outlet. Installers also cut several electrical lines, one of which took our electricians hours to find - reimbursed us for the electrician's bill, but insinuated that the line was cut because it wasn't installed to code - which was clearly not the case.
I don't really have another spray foam installer to compare them to, but I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere."

"A friend had used The to do their attic, so I called the East Liberty to ask if they installed installation; I was told they did and they took down my information and said Opsasnick would probably be the one calling me to set up a visit; he called and set one up very quickly; he showed up early and scouted the outside of the house for measurements to help with his estimating before coming inside; he looked in the attic and described the job, how long it would take, and the product -- blown-in fiberglass insulation. You can choose different R-levels, so he priced the one I chose. I had heard there was formaldehyde in fiberglass insulation, so I asked if he installed non-fiberglass products, but they don't; he then went the extra mile when I called to ask about the product specs: he called and got me all the information I could ask for. That proved very helpful because for some reason I couldn't find the ProPink product on 's website! I thought the follow-up was great and the explanation thorough. I didn't end up getting the work done from The /THD At-Home Services so I can't speak to the quality of the work, but my experience of the quote process was good. You'll feel well treated."

"I called and received the company's answering service, and my phone call was returned promptly that evening. I was immediately impressed with 's friendliness and professionalism. He forthrightly told me they use Pro-Pink insulation (I had asked if they also installed cellulose). We made a first-available appointment -- it's a busy time of year for insulators. Some time unexpectedly came open on my schedule so I called to see if he had an opportunity to do it earlier ("no harm in asking" I thought); his call service took the message and again he returned the call promptly that evening. Just as friendly and professional. When I decided to do something else I called to cancel the quote visit and left a message with one of the younger employees. I hated to do it right before the visit, but if I'd already made up my mind I didn't want to waste the man's time, especially at this busy time of year.
I'm sure I would have been pleased with the work; his pride came through over the phone and even some of the competition recommended them ("if you don't go with us, ..."). "

"As a first-time home buyer fairly new to PA, I had to do a lot of research to make an informed choice when picking contractors. After visits by various insulation pros, a ton of online research, and many calls to friends, family, and people in the home building industry, I settled on for my home, and glad I did! I was given detailed answers to all my questions, and never once pressured to buy. The crew arrived punctually and the work was done on time. They were diligent, polite, and did more than required to--they patched a few existing holes in my mortar and cleaned some debris out of the gutters. They cleaned up afterwards very thoroughly. My furnace now kicks on much less often. I'm VERY happy with my purchase!! I hired them again a second time to insulate my garage.

"The company responded within a week and was able to reschedule due to the needs of my tennants. The tennants were very pleased with the results and the area was kept clean during the work and after. No problems were reported and the effect of the new insulation was felt immediately by my second floor tennant."

"Immediately after they finished the work, I thought they had done a good job, but a severe problem developed a few days later, associated with the age of the house. Shortly after, I contacted company management to provide direct, personal feedback, and they took what I consider to be appropriate action. For this reason, I
would consider using again, but certainly would ensure they took into
consideration every aspect of the house's age and condition."
