"My furnace had been getting over the course of a month. Knowing that a few of my friends had work done with this company and highly recommended them, I called and A/C on 3/4/11 and spoke ,with whomever answers the phone to inquire about getting an estimate to have the furnace as well as the air conditioner ...more and water heater replaced since they were considerably old. The woman told me the request would be delivered to the owner. Within 15 minutes, the owner called back and said he could come out the next morning to provide me an estimate. He arrived promptly the next morning (3/5/11), was very professional and knowledgeable, and provided to me any options I may want to consider. Along with the furnace I opted for an air cleaner, a humidifier, and a programmable thermostat. I was happy with the estimate and at that time said I would like him to perform the work. The work was scheduled for the morning of 3/14/11. The two men that performed the work arrived promptly, were very nice as well as professional, and did a very good job, including cleaning up afterwards. And, they explained how to work the thermostat, humidifier, etc. I would definitely recommend this company. It was a pleasant experience."

"Did not know what was wrong with furnace. Would kick off for long periods of time. First call, Admiral came the very next day. Cleaned out furnace thinking that was the problem. Same thing happened a few days later on a Saturday and they came back within hours. Turned out was exchanger. They had part in truck, did the job in less than an hour. ...more No problems since. "They were very good. He took a little bit of time for him to get back to me but he did. He was very courteous and prompt. I think he was nervous about it because he knew business only for two years. So it was kind of no one else knew him. The only reason I got to know him was because the roof started leaking and we had gone to our home warranty company ...more and they had recommended them. That's the only way I knew him. He gets bony points because when he came out he actually put some stuff out to temporize the leak and he charged the other company for it and not me. I found good about that. Alternately I just decided to go with someone who's been in business for a longer period of time. I had other people who were telling me about the company, that he was great and that one affected my choice too. He guaranteed the work for five years as well. But he had only been in business for two years. But he was very nice and a good guy."

"Used through a home warranty. Called and asked to have boiler AND outside spigot looked at. Would not have called if I was only getting one thing taken care of. The person on the telephone told me someone would look at both. When the rep. showed up, he told me he could take care of the boiler, but not the spigot, because that was a plumbing issue and ...more not a heating/cooling issue. Again, I told them I wanted both taken care of and they said it would be no problem! Anyway, all the service man did was tighten a fitting and put a cap screw on cap on the valve. I could have done that myself, but wanted the problem solved. So I paid $60 for something that would have cost me maybe $5 at Home Depot. Further, that did not even fix the problem. Later in the day it was still leaking, so I called them again to reschedule for Monday. They told me they would be here between noon and 4:00 pm. They showed up at 4:45 and just further tightened what the previous guy did. Also, the service man told me that it was too late for them to do anything else. I asked for my $60 back and said I would just go somewhere else and they said they could not do that. And I still have the problem of still getting the outside spigot fixed which was supposed to be addressed the first time. In response to the "Providers Response" that the heating person could not fix the spigot problem and the home warranty company should be notified, it was J & A Heating I spoke with who told me their service tech would address both, not the home warranty company."

"He was very prompt at returning my call and setting a date & time to look at my problem. He also answered a lot of questions on the phone before I scheduled my appt. THey were detained at previous customer site and tried to reach me but I had already left to go to the other location. We "missed" each other but he called that evening to explain in detail. ...more I'm sure I'll use them at some time when the severe winter demands aren't so heavy. I liked the idea that they stayed with a customer until everything was right before moving on to another address. That could have been me. That's good common sense! I really believe they know what they are doing and will do it right without any shortcuts or other costs bubbling to the top after they start a job."

I had called a different company about a month before about the relief valve issue and was very uncomfortable as it seemed they were guessing at the problem. came out the same day I called and was able to diagnose the problems and explain to me exactly what was wrong, why it happens, ...more and how it was causing the problems I was seeing. Despite it being a long job (3-4 hours to fix), he made some phone calls and was able to pick up the parts and fix it the same day. I can't comment on price as I did not get any other quotes."
