Flooring Reviews in Pittsburgh

Swidorsky worked with us from start to finish to replace our carpet in our newly purchased house with linoleum. First,
was the only company I talked to that understood what real linoleum was (it is a green ecologically friendly material that is NOT the same thing as vinyl flooring), and they actually seemed to have experienced people to install the stuff. He walked us through the entire process, kept in contact regularly, and made sure we were happy every step along the way.

It was excellent. The salesman was very prompt and friendly. The installation went smoothly and was quick. The carpet and tile looks great. We are very satisfied. We also got carpet in our living room 4 years ago from the same company and it also is holding up very well and we are pleased!

Flooring reviews in Pittsburgh

It went well. They arrived on time, finished in a professional manner. The cleaned rugs were picked up, cleaned, and returned on time and in great condition. Would definitely recommend them.

I decided not to use this provider because of the price not being compatible with my budget. I found their proposal to be more than twice that of one flooring contractor and nearly twice that of another. Given that there is some complexity to the job (this is not the average sand and refinish project), I did expect the cost to be higher than average, but nowhere near double.
That said, the reason I am writing this review is not to launch a critique of their prices. In fact, I was quite impressed with how knowledegable the gentleman was who came to my home to evaluate the floors and write the estimates. He was an intelligent man who really knew a great deal about wood floors, and historic period details. I got the sense that they most likely do high quality work using higher tech equiptment than the other contractors I consulted with. So even though I could not afford to use their services, I would say that I would have chosen them for the project I have at hand if budget were not an issue.
Because this was a service not performed, I could not rate this provider in all categories and do not feel that I could justly submit a meaningful overall rating.

We ordered the flooring and paid for the
measure service, install and all other supplies. The issues began when
the flooring was damaged twice when we went to pick it up and we were
not notified in advance so we had to go to the store and order new floor
and cancel the install twice. The flooring looked like it had been hit...More /> with a fork lift! The measuring service said everything was great and
the floor could be installed. We ripped up the carpet, moved the
furniture and prepared the room months before the final install date
because of having to keep reordering the flooring. Finally the install
company sent a sub contractor who said he couldn't do install due to a slant the floor that was 1 1/2 inches. This began a fight between the

flooring dept,

Customer Service, the

Measuring service, American Carpet Services and the sub contractor. Then they took our flooring back and then wanted to multiple people back to our house to "take another look" and point blame at each other. Then today they came back out and decided that it can be done (2 weeks later) but now

threw away part of our order because they "do not keep those pieces" so now we would have to wait for another special order! We started this with

in November its now February. We have also had 4 other contrcators/installers in to give us quotes and they all disagree with home depots issues.

It went great!
Pittsburgh Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
came to show us the samples about a week and a half before the installation. He was really helpful answering our questions and also giving us time to discuss without being pushy. The installers arrived when expected and were done in just a couple hours. The carpet looks wonderful, and we are thrilled with it.

Pittsburgh Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
did a very good job. He was easy to talk to and answered all questions and concerns w/ courtesy and professionalism. His work was very good, and he finished the project when he said he would. At the end, he did a good clean up, and there was very little evidence that he was even at my house other than the new main floor bathroom with professionally installed ceramic, stone, and glass. I highly recommend his services if you are looking for an above average ceramic installer.

We agreed on a time to do the job, had to change it due to unforeseen circumstances.

was flexible, reachable, responsive throughout this process. Arrived at the designated time. Did the job quickly and perfectly.

We needed to get some carpet replaced in our new home. We looked around at some other stores, and the price was okay, but the quality wasn't great, which was especially apparent after we saw the samples at
Pittsburgh Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. We weren't sure exactly what we wanted, but
Pittsburgh Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showed us a lot of different options and crunched the numbers for each scenario. He was very patient with us and not very pushy. He and the installers were very prompt and professional when they came to our home. We ended up purchasing engineered hardwood and carpet for three bedrooms and a lot of closets. Installation took a little longer than anticipated, which is okay because we know that they took the time to make sure it was done right. We love our new floors and will use

again for future flooring projects.
