came out to give us an estimate and offered some great suggestions and advice about our existing fireplace as well as the one we were hoping to install. It was a tricky installation in some ways--they had to run a new vent up a nearly demolished chimney and had to run a gas line though another cramped space. We were extremely impressed with their professionalism and work. They completed the entire installation in way day and got the fireplace in just before Christmas. We couldn't be happier with the work they provided and will definitely use them for all of our fireplace work in the future.

"Our family couldn't be more pleased with the services provided by
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. We have been putting off repairing/replacing our non-functioning wood fireplaces for more than five years. After we received a quote by another local company to put holes in our walls and completely rebuild the fireboxes and hearths with a price tag that was cost-prohibitive, we contacted
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. They presented us with customized options using digital renderings to show a reasonable and cost effective solution by installing gas inserts that met the needs we described during our consultation. Unfortunately, due to a mix-up in the office, we were delayed in receiving the renderings and quotes which resulted in the "B" rating, but talking with the owner,
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, this is rare occurrence. Gas lines were routed to both fireboxes, and we are impressed with how cleanly this was done. There was no damaged to the finished ceiling in the basement, and the placement of the lines on the exterior of our home are discrete. As installation continued, it was determined that an additional piece needed to be ordered. The company returned upon the parts arrival and were incredibly helpful adjusting the insert to suit our preference. Again, we cannot be more pleased with the finished product, and I have greatly enjoyed working with
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
and her team. We would recommend their services in the future, and we look forward to having their support in homes that we purchase in the future.

"Sent two emails via the website requesting that we needed our fireplace serviced as it is not working properly. After over a week they had still never replied. We called to request service and they charge $170 just for a tech to even come look at it. They were extremely rude over the phone and we will never use this company.

"This was an Angie Deal, and really worked out well. I bought it, and
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
emailed to ask for contact details. I sent them to her. Even though it was over Christmas holidays, she worked out an appointment, handled everything beautifully, and was absolutely charming and efficient.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
came to the house on the appointed day.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
called in the morning to let me know about the schedule and when he might be here, which was a courtesy I did not expect. It was welcome.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived when expected, introduced himself, and went right to work.
He finished fairly quickly...maybe 1/2 hour or so. (I worked on some things while he worked on the fireplace so am not positive about how long). He explained everything clearly to me, looked at the remote which wasn't working and said he would see if he could find me an inexpensive replacement.
He got the glass clear (It had been about 9 years!), and fixed some blocked jets, and really made it work like new. I had no idea it was that bad, but it is gorgeous now. Thanks,

"Having just moved into my new house, I needed to have the fireplace and chimney checked. Mr.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
called me back quickly and arrived promptly to do the inspection. He explained to me what was wrong and offered various solutions to resolve the problem. He and his crew were professional, friendly and more than willing to answer questions. Once we decided on the solution, he quickly ordered the parts and made a date to install them as soon as they arrived. They were careful not to soil my rug and cleaned up before leaving. The price was very reasonable in relation to the extent of the job, and Mr.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
urged me to call with any questions or problems I might have. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

"We purchased our home this past summer and even though the home inspector said everything looked good he suggested to have someone certified inspect it. I scheduled an appointment with them based on others Angie's List reviews.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his partner showed up a couple minutes before 8:00 am (the scheduled appointment time) and got right to work after introducing himself. The inspection and cleaning took no more than 30 minutes and the left our home clean. They removed their shoes at the door and took care to respect our home.
The price was what they quoted ($90 to inspect and $160 if it needed cleaned as well) which I felt was appropriate for the service provided. After the service was complete,
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
took time to give us suggestions on how to maintain the fireplace and chimney, and overall was professional and friendly. Overall this was a great experience and we will definitely use
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
again for our routine cleaning and maintenance.

"Our family ordered two Ironhaus fire screen doors for our home from this outfit. The doors took 8 weeks to manufacture as indicated at time of purchase. The quality of the Irouhaus products is A+ and the customer service we received from the owner,
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, was excellent. Thank you!
The reason for the overall C rating is this. The individuals that installed the $5000+ screens initially used cheap metal pipe strap. This is not an issue if the pipe straps were invisible to the naked eye. However, that was not the case and one could clearly see the straps when walking into a room or sitting on the furniture. The silver metal from the pipe straps created a
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
contrast when mated up again the custom granite we had previously installed (by another firm) in the fireplace surrounds. The installers put four metal pipe straps on the dining room fireplace, two on the living room fireplace, both of which affixed to the inside of the high gloss decorative black fireplace granite walls. What a visual disappointment, sigh.
When I arrived home that evening to inspect the finished product it looked like a fireplace belonging in a trailer park. We do not have
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
type expectations, but I do liken the initial installation to attending a wedding in a t-s*** tux, dropped off by a
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
limo. My wife was home when the installation happened, so I feel to some extent the installers took advantage of her since she doesn’t know much in terms of construction. Not being there was also partially my fault so I do assume some degree of blame. I firmly believe to this day that although the rare contractor does exist nearly all things done right in this life have to be done yourself.
Later that evening I sent an email and left a phone message to the owner,
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. The installer promptly, to their credit, called me back the next morning to discuss. During our conversation he stated he’s been installing screens in this fashion for many years and during that period of time only one other person has complained, like we are. After
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
a few other less than satisfactory customer service replies, this particular statement offended me so much that I hit my tipping point, and with Thanksgiving coming the next day and having our entire of family over to view the tacky work firsthand, that I will admit that I lost my cool for a brief moment and used a few profanities, which in retrospect I regret since that’s not in my nature. In essence, I explained to the installer that we are not needy folks, but expect a quality product, installed to our satisfaction, and as things sit at that moment the installation was incorrect and unacceptable. After some haggling, the installer agreed to delay their first morning appointment and come to our home to correct the matter. They arrived and within a hour the matter was addressed to our satisfaction.
In the end, I believe as paying customer’s issues like this should not have to be debated by the customer, and as I explained to the installers, if they would have done the job correctly the first time around, taking into account our decorative fireplace granite and hiding the straps our of plain sight, we would not have to inconvenience them or have a follow-up conversation in the first place. Our expectations are above average, we realize that, but certainly not out of this universe. My advise to anyone using this firm is this, be home when they perform the installation and if something is not to you liking make certain they correct it before leaving. When paying thousands a quality installation, and across the board A+ service should be expected.

"i called
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
one afternoon to have a look at the chimney in my old south side home. i was interested in putting a wood burning
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
in it, but needed to be sure it was safe.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
called me back that evening when he was setting up his schedule. we were able to set up a time in the afternoon a few days after, but he was tied up at another job. he called to explain and then came out the next morning. not a problem, as i work from home.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up and checked out my chimney. he told me it looked great and we could do whatever we wanted with it. then he took a look at my other chimney in the front room of the house. he mentioned that it might be a better fit for a
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
since this is the room where our tv and couches sit. I'm cool with design input so let him check it out. glad i did because
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
noticed that the chimney flue did not go all the way up to the roof, but instead was only about a 5 foot high piece of
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
. this was the flue for my natural gas furnace and water heater, which were potentially venting directly into my living room. totally unsafe.
i think
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was more concerned than me and offered to fix this problem immediately. he told me that it should be lined with a stainless steel liner and it would be a pretty straight-forward fix, but that it needed done. we put a piece of cement board up in front of the chimney for the time being while i figured out what to do.
ended up calling
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
the next week and asking him to come back out. he gave me a great deal on the job and came out promptly to get a check for materials and then again the next morning to do the job. he was quick and clean and the living room is now safe from carbon monoxide fumes.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very professional every time i spoke with him. he knows his business and is confident in his skills. he is very honest about what is needed and what he can do and his pricing is very fair. i think my original quote from him for this job was higher, but he really felt that my home was unsafe and wanted to be sure that the problem was corrected.
my plans for my other chimney have changed, but if i can find a reasonably-priced
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
to put in that space, i will definitely call
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
back up to install it.

"
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a great job. He is very collaborative and has excellent suggestions. He has a good balance between cost and quality making him an excellent value.

His team is great and he has excellent contacts for work in the south hills.

Our project was done while we were still living in another state so it the completion date slipped a little."

"
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
was a pleasure to work with. He returned my initial call within a few hours and came to my house to speak with me and assess the situation within a few days at no cost. He also provided proof of insurance before I could even ask along with the quote, which was competitive with the two others I requested.
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
is very knowledgeable about fireplaces/chimneys and provided numerous options as to what could be done to fix the problem and the relative costs associated with each. After deciding how to proceed, scaffolds and other equipment were set up and the entire job was completed within three days. The finished product looks great. It is obvious that
Pittsburgh Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
takes great pride in his work and I will not hesitate to recommend him to others.
