"Very good, looks great. Quality work at a fair price. Easy to work with. Always available, quick response by email, text and phone, for any of my questions and concerns. And, a very good supporting crew of workers. Amazing equipment. Complete success.

"MorningStar was very professional, very prompt (same day) to check out our problem, take pictures, etc. We had an estimate the next day, and a final estimate two days later (with our deck material added in, and exactly what we wanted). They showed up every single day on time and spent a good bit of each day at our home working. They worked with us on every detail, and checked that each step was what we wanted. They even put up a

each night in the opening for our fence (6 ft. fence) so our dogs couldn't get through when we let them out. From beginning to end (they are finishing up on Monday 11/4/13 - a step for the deck), they were awesome. In a little over a week, we had all that done, and now we have a beautiful new deck. I keep opening the back door just to look at it!
My sister saw the deck for the first time today and said it looked fantastic!
We would readily recommend Morningstar to anyone.

"Another contractor was installing an exterior french drain, and while doing the excavation, tore out a part of our water line. We called
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
and he was here with his crew within one hour from that time. He restored water service using a temporary line so we had water that night. Unfortunately, the water line was unable to be repaired. He knew the job had to be coordinated with the water proofing company and scheduled his crew to complete it immediately when he had access to the site.

and his crew came the next day and worked until after 8 PM so that we could have water. They had to dig a trench 4 foot deep over 100 feet long. All the crew were professional and extremely hard workers. We can't say enough good things about this company; they are courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. They do an outstanding job with clean up both inside and out. We have used this company before and they have always been amazing. I would highly recommend this company to my family, friends, or anyone needing plumbing services - they truly are the best in town in our opinion. They absolutely deserve all the wonderful ratings that I see here on Angie's List.

"We had the unfortunate opportunity to repair the sewer line from our house to the street after it collapsed. This a VERY expensive and disruptive repair! Upon finding small amounts of sewer water in our basement, we called
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
to check out the problem. They were prompt in responding and diagnosed the sewer line collapse when they came out. They gave us an estimate to trench the line to repair the break (which was, thankfully, close to the house on under the lawn) and line the pipe to the city connection.
Now, not having a sewer line means you can't use the indoor plumbing (except VERY sparingly). The liner system means they don't have to replace the pipe the whole way to the street which would have been incredibly costly! It's also guaranteed and should mean we don't have to go through this again with a break further down the line. They said they could be out to start on the 2-3 day repair the next day, so we went ahead and scheduled.
Although we would have loved to get another estimate, we just didn't have the time to mess around. Also, not everyone has the trenching equipment they needed to get to the line about 10 feet under our front yard. I don't really know if someone else would have been cheaper (and at this point, I don't want to know if they would have been).
Roto Rooter was prompt and worked diligently. The job was done in 2-3 days and we only had to stay elsewhere one or two days. The yard was left probably in as good shape as can be expected; Our yard had a grave-sized pile of dirt with some broken terracotta and an ugly white access pipe sticking up in the middle of our yard. The workers also left some undesirable debris, like some trash and cigarette butts, but not that bad... Over time the hole settled considerably and we filled in spring with topsoil (which is surprisingly cheap at a DIY store) and seeded with new grass. I also got a "fake rock" to cover the ugly access pipe which is literally in the middle of our yard. As of June, it looks like nothing ever happened.
Overall, we were satisfied, especially given that we felt we had little to no choice but to get the work done as soon as possible!

"The entire project experience was a pleasure.
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
was very prompt and attentive to detail in estimating, contracting, and scheduling my job--and best of all, was easily reachable by e-mail, so we never wasted time playing phone tag! He and his crew arrived promptly, worked hard, kept everything clean, and always behaved very professionally during the 2 days they spent working in my yard. And the end result was outstanding. After doing the work,
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
even e-mailed me follow-up information on sod care! The yard looks 100% better than it did previously, and I've had many compliments from my neighbors. I hope to have
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
back to do additional work next year.

worked at a quick pace especially considering the heavy lifting and shoveling involved. He did not waste time. He was polite and cleaned up better than any contractor I have worked with. The wall looks great now and thanks to Joes honest work ethic he saved me money. I highly reccomend Lazzarro Construction."

"My basement sewer drain backed up on a Sunday night. Called a nationally known company to have omeone out to snake and clear the drain (Sunday - Steelers game - hard to find someone.) They were not able to open the sewer - it was completely blocked. They gave me an estimate to repair two drains ($7,500.)
When I saw the number, I decided I wanted to have someone else check it out. I selected
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
because of the outstanding reviews on Angie's list. Called Mr.
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
who agreed to come to my house first thing Monday (11/29/11) morning.
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
came on time; diagnosed the problem and explained it in clear terms (broken/misaligned house trap.)
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
checked the other company's estimate for repair of two drains and told me only one needed to be done. This alone saved me thousands of dollars.
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
wrote the estimate while at my home. Because the situation was an emergency and his bid was a few hundred dollars lower than the other company's for the one job that actually was necessary, I accepted the bid and he rearranged his jobs to begin the work the next day. He informed me the job would take two days and all the details of what to expect, including materials. He took care of contacting utilities and having the area marked for excavation.
The work began the next day. That evening, he called to tell me things had gone according to plan on day 1 and to see if I had questions or concerns (I have never had another service provider check in with me like this. What great customer service.) A few minutes later, he called back and said he was going to make a small adjustment to the work completed that morning to improve the house trap position. He assured me this wouldn't change the estimate (it didn't.)

came back for day 2 and got to work. The work passed Allegheny Co Health Department inspection. When I arrived home, the excavated site was restored - he did a beautiful job restoring the area, including grading and replacement gravel for the driveway. I had expected it to look good - it exceeded my expectations.
The sewer back up problem is completely fixed and I have no doubt that it is fixed permanently, based on this great experience all the way around.

's professionalism is exceptional - it just is pretty rare these days, but he definitely has it. I had almost forgotten what it is like to be treated with respect and great customer service. I can't recommend him highly enough. I am sure his business will thrive and I hope that it does - we need more business people like

"This plumber gave a good price, and was very fast to start repair of water service line leak. However is his hurry to finish the repair quickly, his work was destructive and sloppy. In digging up my yard to put down a new water line, he completely destroyed my entire front yard. This was done without any warning, and could have easily been avoided. Parts of my sidewalk that were to be left untouched were shifted and chipped. The section of sidewalk that was cut as planned was cut poorly requiring the entire section to need replacing. He left my destroyed yard covered in 6 inches of clay, burying my plants and top soil. The line he connected to inside my basement started to leak 3 days later. His behavior was completely unprofessional. He slandered my neighbor making me feel uncomfortable and intimidated. So much so that I felt afraid to confront him on his questionable work in fear that he would get angry and not finish the job. He was to repair the part of the sidewalk as part of the contract but wanted to wait a week to let the ground settle. He suggested I keep a small retainer to ensure that he would return. He chose a figure that was comparable to the price of the remaining repair. I later told him that I did not want him to come back to finish the cement work. He became irate with me wanting me to pay him the retainer, even though he was not going to do the work. In our 'discussion' he quickly became irate and said extremely rude things to me, yelled at me, and made me feel worried for the safety of my home. He then threatened to take me to court. I ended up paying him a part of the retainer in hopes that he would not contact me again. This was a completely awful experience with this contractor. Be careful not to get this man upset. Take detailed before and after pictures. I wish I would have asked him not to be in a hurry to finish my repair. I think he thought I was in a hurry to get my water service back, however I would have preferred to delay the return of my water if he was able to be less destructive to my property. "

"They came out but they disappeared and didn't give me a quote, which is the way it is with a bunch of Pittsburgh contractors. I tell them I want to give them a bunch of money and they say awesome and then disappear. They did my sister's place and they did a nice job on it. They came out and looked at the project but they never sent me a quote. I didn't end up needing the job done anyway. He did answer the phone normally but I never called him back about the quote. I would consider using him in the future because he did a nice job on my sister's place."

and his crew were very prompt, polite, professional and respectful. They were extremely hard workers. I admired them---never flinched in the terrible humidity and almost 100 degree temperatures! During each phase of the wall construction,
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
always wanted to be sure that we were completely satisfied with what he was doing.
Pittsburgh Excavators Provider Name Locked
has a good eye for color, which he recommended for the block, and we couldn't be more pleased, not only with the color, but with the entire project! I would recommend
