We had a leaking pipe above the ceiling of the kitchen. We had to cut approximately a 3' X 3' section of the ceiling so the plumber could make the repair. It was further complicated because It was curved/arched ceiling.
Everything went well. I snapped a picture of the damage. Sent the picture to
, he gave me an approximate estimate. I accepted and we made an appointment to have it repaired.
and his coworker did an excellent job. Can't even tell it was repaired. Most importantly, they were able to fix it without sanding because drywall dust is very messy. Cleanup was great too. I will ill use him again if needed.

were fantastic. We have used a number of contractors for our fixer-upper home and rarely pass along recommendations to friends -
was an exception. Excellent communication with
the owner, punctual, great work (smooth walls, good corners, really precise cuts around the recessed lights (
is a whiz with the cuts - watch him!)
was also just a great group of guys. They worked fast and got done ahead of time, but were always laughing and joking and having a good time together. Small thing, but they all wore matching shirts, so they looked put together.
is super nice too.
I recommended them to my neighbors here in Shadyside for a small patch job from a water leak and they loved
too.

Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very to communicate with and always answered our phone calls in a timely manner. He gave us great recommendations and was just overall really easy to work with.
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was such a pleasure to work with and our 2 year old asked about him for days and days once the project was done. Our basement is beautiful and we could not be happier with the finished product!

Contractor was originally contacted for Big Deal but he never satisfied the Big Deal purchase or provided a credit for the Big Deal. Instead, I contracted with provider for a much larger scope of work because I needed to turn over a rental unit quickly. We had several discussions and differences of opinion about the contracted scope of work and pricing. Contractor was responsive and completed job close to deadline but I was not happy with the overall price, attitude of the contractor, and lack of follow-up to provide me with original Big Deal service that I had purchased which I could have used on another project at my personal residence. Contractor missed a big opportunity for repairing and continuing relationship as I have several rental properties. He seemed to be preoccupied with gaining other employment aside from his

business.

Be very careful with this contractor and make sure to read the complaints carefully. At first
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was great.. very responsive and detail oriented. He responded to my call and gave me an estimate quickly. He was more expensive than others, but I liked his attention to detail and responsiveness.
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
texted me repeatedly with questions and I was hopeful. The project started well with what i assume was his "A" team who did really nice drywall install. Then the "B" team, I assume, came in and the quality dropped considerably. Further,
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
seemed to want his guys to take short cuts such as not connecting the ceiling to the walls (leaving a gap through which cold air came in) since I was putting up crown mold. At one point his guy
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
noticed some of the poor quality of the work by the B team. I mentioned this to
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
, who, thinking I was not nearby, called
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and it sounded like berated him for saying anything negative. the B team left a huge gap between the ceiling and the drywall on the wall. Anyhow, the drywall was installed and I was told that I could paint it since it was done. Using the text communication that
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
initiated, I texted the following "Upon putting up more paint colors we are finding drywall screw heads. Lrge bumps. I think you need to inspect it. Quality of work really different in different parts of room...." and I asked about drywalling the ceiling since
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
's attempts to make my plaster ceiling look nice had failed. Here is the unexpected reply verbatim "Will do touch ups (which z OFTEN DONE NO MATTR WT ANY1 TELLS U!) On fri. Morn. then u cn get sum1 else 2 finish trim! N keep the rest of $. U R OBVIOUSLY Kind of person thats NEVR

3rd,4th..Contractor." I made the MISTAKE of paying 1/2 the job up front ($2300 of $4600). The whole job included hanging doors, all the trim, drywall in the hall way, hanging a pocket door etc. So I got some framing done, plus drywall that is poorly done.
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
's guys did remove debris and hung a mantle not in the contract, but refused to patch a few wall scratches on the walls (some that they had created). I hired a plaster guy to fix the ceiling and a major wall bump for $850 and those things looks great now. But I still have 2 walls that have very crooked

lines . I asked
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
to refund my money or at least a portion so I can hire another person to fix it... his response "I don't TEXT." I am sure
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
will have some blaming reply to my description here. Yes, I did part ways with another contractor on this job who failed to show up for 2 weeks and would not give me a solid price.
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
at least did that. That said, I have had the same plumber and electrician for 14 years, the same roofer for 10, etc. I am only difficult and complain if you do crappy work and I am paying for it. In the end, let the pics tell the story. You can see what I was left with and will now have to pay others to fix.
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
had a gutted room to work with. They apparently did not
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
walls straight nor carefully create lines.. event on NEW walls they built! You can't blame the house when you built the wall (guessing this is what he'll say). And the worst part is that he simply will not take responsibility. I asked first for it to be fixed (only partially done) and then for a refund (I don't want him in my house anymore).

The fact that
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
came over so quickly to help me was truly professional and amazing. It's a testament to his friendly, helpful nature. I'm currently on crutches recovering from foot surgery so his immediate attention and help were appreciated and above and beyond my expectations. He will give me professional quotes for the interior water damage repair work and I hope to hire him again to do that work.

I had a sink overflow in an apartment building I own, which heavily damaged two kitchens and some other areas below.
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was able to start working on it only a day or two after the damage occurred. He had 5 or 6 guys working on the job to complete it very quickly to cause minimal disruption to my tenants. They replaced both drywall ceilings, and skim coated the walls of one of the kitchens. They also repaired some other ceiling damage, and skim coated a long hallway. I'm very pleased with the results. The walls and ceilings look better now then they did before the sink overflow!

I want to start by saying
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
from
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
worked wonders on my project and I really couldn't be any happier.
A spare bedroom of mine that I use as an office had a splatter paint effect done by a previous owner. Latex paint was used and it appeared to be flung onto the walls and ceiling (and many other surfaces in the room) by just loading paint brushes and whipping them across the room. This created heavy paint streaks everywhere that were nearly impossible to cover. I didn't want to do a texture paint effect to try to hide the splatter, and I didn't want to wallpaper the room either; I was looking to get the walls back to as close to flat as possible. There was no way a few coats of paint would cover it. Since it was latex paint, sanding was pretty much out of the question. And with drywall, a heat gun to loosen an scrape away the paint wasn't really an option either.
After having several friends, extended friends of the family, and finally, professional contractors out to look at the room and offer suggestions, I was basically down to two options: tear down the existing drywall to the studs and re-drywall the entire room (including ceiling), or try to find an expert that could skim coat the entire room to level out the walls and cover the mess that was made with the splatter effect.
I had gone through at least half a dozen contractors that I either felt wouldn't do the job justice or were incredibly expensive. Granted, this job was probably out-of-the-ordinary for most contractors, but I didn't get a good feeling from anyone early on. Had I chosen to re-drywall the entire room, not only would it have been invasive, but also very expensive. Then along came
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
from
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I followed
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
's suggestions in his profile on Angie's List that emailing him was the best way to reach him, and within a day of my initial email, he had responded back with a time that he could come out to give me an estimate. He re-worked his schedule a bit to fit me in and when he saw the room, he was confident that he could make my room look like new with the skim coat technique. This was much less time intensive, required very little demolition, and was much more reasonably priced than completely re-drywalling the entire room.
The original estimate was that it would take 2-3 days. Since my job was relatively minor in comparison to other jobs
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
do and because it was at a busy time of year for them, he asked if I could be flexible with my schedule because that would allow them to fit me in between other jobs and therefore get my job completed earlier. My employer allowed me that flexibility, so all I needed was a few days notice. After a few emails over the following two weeks ironing out the details of the job, we settled on some final decisions, and then I just needed to wait for
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
to be able to fit me in. He thought it would be a couple of weeks, which I was fine with. Well, within a few days of our last email,
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
emailed back to let me know he could fit me in the following week. This was only about three weeks after our initial correspondence, which I was thrilled with because I was really looking forward to having the job done before the holidays.
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out on Monday of Thanksgiving week to start the job. They laid drop cloths over the entire room and down all hallways where they would be walking to and from their truck, and they set to work.
By the end of day one, I could already see the improvements. The splatter paint was nearly unnoticeable, and I was getting excited for my "new" room. When Tuesday morning rolled around, I unfortunately came down with a stomach illness, but I knew it was too late in the morning to ask
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
to reschedule. This was also a day when the weather forecasters were calling for several inches of snow turning into an ice storm by the afternoon. Despite the travel difficulties caused by the weather,
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up as scheduled and set to work while I laid on the couch feeling nauseated. Throughout that second day, they were very respectful of my not feeling well and kept working to get the job done. Luckily, the ice storm turned into just a rain event, and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
were able to complete the job in two days. They actually stayed both days until about 6:30-7:00 PM to make sure they got the job done right. In fact, I thought they had nearly finished by about 4:00 PM on the second day but then I saw them starting to mix up another batch of the drywall mud. When we did the final walk-through, they explained that the ceiling wasn't up to their standards (at 4:00 PM) so they worked at it some more until they were happy with it. I had looked at the room at 4:00 PM and I didn't notice any flaws, but I appreciated the extra effort they made to ensure it was done right.
Because the splatter paint was on pretty much every surface (including the trim, window sill, and closet door), I also had
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
replace the trim around the door, which was done quickly and looks great, too. The walls and ceiling are completely flat now and the splatter paint is now just a memory. The final cost of the job was exactly what we had discussed during our emails, so there were no surprises there.
I am completely satisfied with the work that
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
did. They were absolute professionals throughout the entire process, and they cleaned up so well after they left that it was hard to tell drywall contractors had even been to my house. All of our communication was done through email and
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
is clear in his Angie's List description that that is the best way to get in contact with him. So, if anyone is looking to have drywall work done, I would strongly recommend emailing
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
at
Pittsburgh Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
. You will not be disappointed with the work they do.
