"We had three separate problems, all related to water damage.  There was an area between our solarium and kitchen that had been repaired once before, but the problem reappeared recently.  In  addition, there was a discolored area on the ceiling of our front porch, and a utility room door that would no longer close.  This contractor had done outside painting for us about 2 years ago and we were pleased with his work, so I called him for an estimate.  He warned me that water problems were difficult to solve.  After we gave him the go-ahead, he looked at the solarium-to-house connection from a second story window and from the window on our stair landing.  After opening up the wall in the damaged area, he poured water from the second story onto the suspicious area until he'd identified the area(s) where water was getting in.  In the process, he discovered that we had still another wet area around the stair-landing window where caulking had failed.  (By now, I felt I was living in a

pointed out that the this was an insurance claim and helped us in with working with our insurance carrier.  He also was helpful in selecting paint colors to use in the previously-wallpapered areas.      The utility room door, which we thought was simply swollen from humidity, turned out to be thoroughly water-soaked.  Finding this out

to discovering that the back porch concrete was crumbling in a couple areas and was not waterproof.  The door and (rotted) door frame both had to be replaced after the concrete was patched and caulked.  Then the back porch was power-washed and waterproofing paint was applied.  One thing leads to another...        A crew of 3 to 4 people were working here most of the time.  They protected the rest of the house from dust, cleaned up as much as possible at the conclusion of each day's work, and were personable and easy to work with.

"We asked for an estimate for a pretty decent sized project in our home for floor, trim work, and doors. He came on time and seemed very knowledgeable. With so many good ratings on Angie's List, we were excited that we thought we found a good contractor. He explained that he would send an estimate the next day, one week later still no estimate. We called, he explained he would send it the next day. It has been another two weeks without out any word. This leaves us set back once again, having to research even more contractors for the job. We don't understand how or why there are so many good ratings for this contractor. All we can say is, you better have one heck of a job for this one or else he won't even get back to you!"

"These guys were great. The company rep helped us to pick the right windows for the house, including the quality of the window appropriate for the house (

has multiple price levels of window). The installers were great guys, clean, courteous, competent, and efficient. I was in and out (no problem leaving them by themselves), but was around enough to see the quality of their workmanship. I couldn't have asked for better. Snow storms slowed things down a bit (it was a winter installation), but they nonetheless finished quickly. There was a few details requiring correction when they were done, but the fixes were made within a few days."

"The whole experience went very smoothly. We had 5-6 people out to bid on the work, and
Pittsburgh Door Installers Provider Name Locked
was the only one who actually gave us an estimate without us hounding the contractors.
Pittsburgh Door Installers Provider Name Locked
showed up when he said he would and got the work done in the promised time frame. He was also very easy to work with when unexpected items came up or when I wanted to add a few new smaller jobs. He and his crew paid great attention to detail, and really did a great job."

"I would never ever under any circumstance go back to a
Pittsburgh Door Installers Provider Name Locked
again after what they did to my door. They took the screen door off and trashed it because they had to resize the door so the screen door didn't fit. They said I had to get a new screen door. I would have never bought the door in the first place if I had to get rid of my screen door. I also had 4 pizzas delivered to my house that I didn't order because the workers ordered them and took off. It wasn't just the store I was dealing with it was a corporate thing. They screw you because when you buy a door they say, oh our doors don't fit your doorway, so you have to pay more. They charge you a 25 dollar fee just to come to your house whether they do the work or not. They eventually gave me my screen door back and it was bent sideways and screwdrivers were stabbed threw the screen."

"Their work was beautiful, and they were incredibly prompt, precise, neat (I really think that
Pittsburgh Door Installers Provider Name Locked
ironed his clothes every morning), fast, trustworthy, not to mention that they are truly lovely people. If something we were requesting was unclear (we did not have professional plans drawn up) he requested clarification, rather than just plowing ahead. It was truly like magic - I would leave for work, and come home to a radically different space, with almost no evidence of their having been here - I think he left our house cleaner than it was when he got here. We will use him again for any renovations we do."

"They came when they said they would; they were careful in removing the old tub and cleaning up; they were courteous and friendly; the work looked good, but we started to notice details that hadn't been finished appropriately, e.g. under one vanity they neglected to paint the molding; then, the grout in the shower floor began to come up; they fixed it once and then gave us the remaining can of grout so we could fix it ourselves!; two and a half years later, we're going to have another tile guy redo the entire shower floor."

was great to work with. He was very responsive and professional. He initially came out and the ice in the gutter was too heavy for him to repair it. He came back a few days later when the weather was warmer, removed the ice and debris and reattached the gutter.
