"I have been going there over 10 years. He really takes a lot of time and asks a lot of questions. He listens to you and he is very friendly. He is easy to talk to. He is very knowledgeable and stays very current with everything. The staff is really nice."

"They are very professional and neat. They got us seen when we needed to. We were kind of late comers. They were accommodating in getting us seen and everything because they had to get a school checkup done and shots and all kind of stuff. But it was very accommodating because normally we have to make appointments or kind of wait till the end. We didn't move there until the end of . It was pretty well, I wasn't in there with her you know she's turned 18 years. But I think she seems fine with him. The office is very clean and tidy. They have a lot of good staff there, so I do have a lot of support. It wasn?t small and cramped and disorganized. It's just a good feeling and if you need them a long way it's always good."

"I enjoyed Dr. very much - I was not happy with my previous physician, and was looking for someone who would listen, help me think through issues, and not make me feel "small." Her "bedside manner" was excellent, giving me pros and cons for various treatments and together deciding to switch some of my medications. I feel in very good hands and am looking forward to - not dreading - my follow up appointment."

"I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes. The assistant took my blood pressure and did preliminaries. I then waited about 5 more minutes, and Dr. came in. We talked about my concerns. She made some recommendations and asked me to keep track of my blood pressure and send it to her quarterly. I had no physical problems at that time. I felt good about the visit, and understood what she was saying."

"I have never seen a doctor better than Dr. in my 42 years of life---he is FANTASTIC. I have gone to him for about 20 years for various conditions, and he has helped me when the specialists couldn't. This most recent visit was typical of all of my visits: I arrived, talked with his receptionist, , who is older and as sweet as can be, was called in to see Dr. , and sat surrounded by beautiful crafts, art, and homemade items in a cozy living-room-like office, as he took my blood pressure and pulse himself, while asking me about my life and well-being in general, before getting to my issue. He took about a half-hour discussing my situation at work with exposure to irritants, and thoroughly advised me about an appropriate plan to monitor my health, as well as how to prevent injury, what to do now, and educated me about my lungs in general.
I have recommended Dr. to dozens of friends and family members over the years for tough-to-treat conditions that their specialists couldn't diagnose or effectively treat, and especially so for young people I work with who suffer from depression, anxiety, or other matters related to mood or mental health. Dr. is an absolute EXPERT at diagnosing and finding the right medication for these kinds of conditions---far better than psychiatrists that I or any of the people I've recommended to him have experienced, as evidenced by his finding the right-on-the-money medications for these conditions when others floundered with trying various not right options. Just this past month, I recommended him to a young person who intended to drop out of school because of anxiety, and within one week after seeing Dr. , this young man "got a grip" and is able to not only finish the semester, but wants to stay in school now and sees that he can. I know that Dr. also does some kind of addiction counseling, and I suspect he is so good at all of this because he has become an expert at understanding mood and behavior, as well as an expert at understanding the parts of the brain's and body's in creating moods/feelings, and is an expert at knowing which medications will affect the subtle or not-so-subtle feelings that need to be addressed. He is amazing with this stuff! I recommend him to anyone.
Another bonus on top of him helping to cure your illnesses or improve your mental/emotional well-being, is your office-experience itself, which is warm and human and sincere. It is like having an office visit with Mr. , who just happens to also be the best nutritionist, psychiatrist, problem-solver, and family doctor in Pittsburgh. I can't recommend him enough. I have seen him help to improve the lives of many people over the years, sometimes dramatically. He is a TREASURE! (And his receptionist is just as warm and wonderful!)"

"He has been using the doctor for decades. He's been with him for 40 years. He is very methodical and careful. He takes the patients into account and gives his approach to the patients. He makes referrals when it's important to do so. He is caring."

"I highly recommend him. He takes time to explain things. He also calls to remind when we have an appointment with him. "

"Dr. never seemed completely present during my appointments and examinations with her. She talked herself through the examinations and coached herself through responses to my queries as if she were "teaching" herself or a student! While seeing her, she insisted on monitoring and treating chronic health problems that had been diagnosed before I came to her, but were stable and under control. She even discouraged me from seeing the medical specialists who had been and should be seen at least once a year to monitor and follow up on the effectiveness of the treatment. I had severe allergies that she was aware of (she advised me of the importance of wearing a medical alert tag at all times) but many times did not respect when examining me.
Because of her inability or unwillingness to practice medicine one actual patient at a time, my health began to deteriorate during the time I was seeing her. She didn't treat me as an individual -- only like a generic textbook presentation. So if there was a match, her advice and treatment was helpful; but if not, she didn't seem to have the skill or will to communicate with me and deal with the information she could obtain about me as an individual to provide treatment appropriate to me. I often had to have the specialists that I continued to see, order tests and provide counsel for routine screens that an internist and primary care physician should handle. I left her practice, after I found inaccurate information in my medical records (e.g., recorded height much less than actual height, family history of diseases that I never reported), and not only received no cooperation from the medical records staff in having that information corrected, but was told that if I didn't like the way things were run to go elsewhere because I would no longer be welcomed there.
Well, despite, receiving several mailings to come in to schedule appointments for routine physicals, I did go elsewhere and received the quality professional medical care that I desired."

"She is an internees at UPNC. She is smart as a whip, empathic, and trustworthy. She is my regular PCP now, but we go to another doctor for more specialized consults. It is a well run practice, her nurse is just fantastic. It makes a difference when you can call their nurse and know that the doctor will call you back. They are both very caring physicians. Its all about the staff when it comes to the doctor. "

"Dr. and his staff all always friendly, professional, and willing to take time to explain things. It's relatively easy to schedule an appointment and, while there are always other patients in the office, they manage to minimize wait times and usually take you in as scheduled."
