was a pleasure to work with. He looked at my deck and deck furniture and gave me a quote. I wanted the deck done as early as possible in the Spring but our weather has been so bad and unpredictable. When saw an opportunity for a sunny day, he jumped on it. He power washed my deck, sanded all the deck furniture and then painted the deck and the furniture in one day. It looks even better than I hoped! With no supervision and very little direction, the result exceeded my expectations."

"The process of getting an estimate and scheduling the initial work was super easy. I called their number and they answered immediately and set a date and time for someone to come out and look at the project. He came and walked me through what services they could offer me and what my choices were at every step. When he left, I had the estimate in my hand to review. I reviewed it and set the date for the work to begin. They came as scheduled and power washed the deck. Everything was going great. The plan was that they would come back the next day to stain/seal the deck. They never showed and no one called so I called them. They were thoroughly apologetic. There had been a family emergency with one of the crew members and they meant to call and reschedule but never did. We set a new date. They came as they said they would. The deck looks fantastic."

"(07/14/2010) He was very overloaded with work and scheduled the work later in the month. He was very upfront with the way he works and we appreciated this. He came right away after we called and explained everything he is going to do.
UPDATE (08/24/2010) presentation at the time of the estimate was clear, honest and professional, so we decided to wait for them to do the work. They worked through the day on Friday, and then for part of Saturday also.
Coming early in the morning (before 7:30 a.m.) they power washed and scraped the old paint (or stain) off our back deck and two garage doors. They repainted the garage doors inside and out, and restained the deck everywhere. The deck and garage doors look good now.
They also replaced some boards on the deck which were broken or badly worn.
In all of these areas: the work on the deck and garage doors, the exterior painting, the carpentry and pressure washing, they did well. We give them an A in all of these areas.
The price (over $2,000), seems reasonable given the amount of time and employees needed to do this job.
They also proved to be dependable on keeping appointments when they said they would. We would hire them again, if needed."

"Theirs was the best bid from three contractors. Without Angie's List, it is unlikely that we would have run across this company, since they are not located very close to us. Mr. , the owner, promptly came out and evaluated the job. He showed us pictures of many of his previous jobs, and in a few days gave us a written estimate. He indicated he could start the job in about 3 weeks. Due to weather, it was put off an additional week and a half. The crew took 4 days to complete the job and then came back 10 days later to remove the deck supports and finish the landscaping. The crew was very competent and personable. They did not seem to mind my hovering around and checking the forms. However, I had little to offer since they did the job exactly according to my specifications. Mr. stopped by once or twice just to check in but there were no problems. We are very pleased with the results."

" answered my email within one day, called and scheduled a time to look at the deck within a few days. He emailed the price quote promptly. When we returned from our vacation, we called him to schedule the work. He showed up on schedule Thursday and started the job. Since his assistant was not available the next day, he returned on the following Monday and they completed the project. It was done well and he removed all the old lumber. Price was exactly what he quoted."

"Fine. came a few days after I contacted him, to scope the job, and provided a quote on the spot. I accepted the offer a few days later (after another candidate failed to follow up). He came with a helper to do the fix-up work and power wash the deck, and said he would return the following week. The helper came and applied the finish. came that evening to check the job, and applied some additional finish to spots that looked like they were absorbing a lot of material. I gave him a check per the quote."

"There were some unexpected extra costs due to poor condition of existing wood in some places (uncovered as aluminum siding was removed). Overall we were very pleased with the work that was done. We felt that we paid a reasonable price and quality of work and attention to detail was excellent."
