"I had an unusual experience. I sent the 7D in for the screw replacement which
completed and returned to me in under two weeks counting shipping" time both ways. However, when I received my camera there was no viewfinder display. That was working when I sent it to him. I called
, and he asked me to send it back for him to look at again. He gave it a high priority because I was returning it. He found he had overlooked the replacement of the viewfinder connector, and returned it to its proper working condition. He sent it back the same day, and even included a refund for my second shipping expenses, which were actually considerable. He admitted it was his error and corrected it in the most honorable way anyone could expect. Yes, it was a bit disappointing that it not perfect the first time. But
took quick action to make it right on the second time, and to me that reveals he is an honest repairman, and certainly does know his cameras. He simply made an honest mistake. Had the mistake not happened, then I would be reporting to you only that he repaired my original issue to my satisfaction and that would be the end of it. But because of the mistake, I can report to you how he made no excuses for a
error and took responsibility for it and reimbursed me for my second shipping expenses and inconvenience. You can't ask anyone to do anymore than that. This action speaks
than an uneventful repair. I would definitely would use him again. And another person I know upon hearing about how
handled the error was so impressed he will be contacting him to have a few of his camera's repaired. As photographers it is always a bit disconcerting to pack up your beloved camera and mail it off to a stranger and just hope it will be repaired properly, or even if you will get your camera back! It is a bit of a
of faith. All I knew is that I had dealt with Canon repair in the past and would rather not use them again. Living where I do I have no other repair person to take it to, so
certainly fills that need. It is good to know that I have a trustworthy person to send it to in the future.

"We originally went in to get the screen repaired on an Olympus digital camera we have had for several years, but the salesperson said for what it would cost us to" repair the Olympus, we could just about get a new camera. He suggested a Nikon Coolpix L840 that had a $100 rebate (we also got a Promaster Elite
bag and an 8Gb video card). Once we got home and tried it out, the camera would not work; a "screen error" message kept appearing. We called the store and another salesperson offered to switch it for a new L840 if it was defective. The next day we went back to the store and asked about replacing the L840 with a different camera instead. We decided on the Nikon Coolpix P610 that had a greater zoom (60X), a superior screen, and the ability to go fully manual. After exchanging for a larger
bag and getting a $50 rebate for the P610, we ended up paying a total of $559.41 over both days. It was worth it because of the better, newer features of the P610 over the old Olympus. The P610 works well and we are satisfied.

Fantastic. When we dropped off camera,

Expected camera to work as new, but it is not as responsive.
Did they use non-manufacturer parts?
They sure contacted me to follow up to get my business, but once they got it have I heard from them?
NOT!
I'll look to someone else in the future.

They are going to take a photo of it with an overhead scanner and make 10 copies for me in the 11x17 format. They are very knowledgeable and informative and provide you with detailed information. I was so happy to have found such informed people and who have been a pleasure to do business with. There are several people I would like to knowledge...

. They have been so kind and went out of their way to take the time to explain all of my questions. I am very appreciative of their service. I also took the picture in last Thursday 04/02-2015 and it was ready by Monday 04/06/-15. I would absolutely use them in the future and highly recommend their services to others. I also want to mention that they gave me a CD with my pictures for future copy's and also they're prices are extremely reasonable.

I was in a car accident on June 19, 2014. My camera was in the car with me. After the accident it was taken to
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
with the complaint that the focus would not lock in. It was picked up and I assumed repaired. Since I was injured in the accident, I did not go out and test the camera. It was 6 months before I felt able to go out and do something. I went to use my camera and the focus would not lock in. Since my insurance company paid to repair my camera, I called them. They told me to take it back to
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
. When I spoke to
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
at
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
, he told me that they didn't repair it. They cleaned it. He said that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. It was not broken, didn't have a cracked housing. Even though it was clearly stated that the focus would not lock in. He said that now they found a broken sensor and it would be 189.50 to repair it. I called the insurance company and they asked to have something faxed in to them saying this was related to the accident.
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
refused to do that. I had not brought the camera back in a timely manner. There was no evidence of damage. I called the insurance company back and told them what he said. They said they get that all the time and to not worry about it. They would talk to him, He didn't not have to say it was caused by the accident, all he had to say was that the damage could have been caused by an impact.
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
would not do that. He stated that sensors go bad all the time and that the original repair was back in September. I had not brought the camera back, so there was absolutely no way that the accident could have caused it. That I was not able to bring it back because of being injured, didn't count. That I assumed that it had been repaired and didn't worry about a camera because I was dealing with doctors, therapy, and pain meds didn't count. I should have run right out and tested it. That the problem with the camera was documented in HIS records when it was brought in and that it still had the same problem didn't matter. In his opinion, there is absolutely NO WAY that a camera sustaining impact can be damaged without having a broken, cracked body. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I would use

I have no complaints with
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
. They were extremely professional, wrapped my camera body very well and did the repair quite well. The problem was the cost - $330.00 to attach a mirror to a camera body that cost $3000.00. It seems to me, that the manufacturer should have covered some of the cost, if not all of it.
Pittsburgh Camera Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
could not do the work themselves. They told me that it had to be sent back to the manufacturer, or some distributor elsewhere. The repair took about two or three weeks before the camera was returned. My only suggestion might be that for all of the camera enthusiasts out there, that unless you are truly a professional photographer (and successful at it), I would by lower end cameras since the technology is changing so rapidly, and instead of spending $330 for a repair, just buy the latest camera body that uses your existing lenses.
